I reserved a unit for storage online. must to my surprise there was nobody manning the inside office. I had to use the virtual assistant. I was given a gate code and also given the combination code for the storage locker. the gate code didn't work so I was able to follow behind another car. once I got to the unit the door code didn't work, someone was kind enough to let me in. then when I found the unit the combination didn't work. after two hours of having to go back and forth I told them I'd try it again this weekend. the same thing happened. now mind you I havent been able to use the storage unit at all so after the issues today I went back and told them that I wanted to cancel and a refund. they won't give me a refund and never even opened the unit door. what scam artists these people are. I work for a huge repeated company in Marco and I will be sure not to give Midgard any referrals. they are a scam. read more

This company charged us an additional months rent because they did not properly record our termination notice. We went to the office in person at the end of October to let them know that we did not need the rental unit past the end of November. When we moved out in mid November, they told us that that was our notification date and that we would be charged for December. They have refused to review our claim, despite having documented evidence that we were there in October to terminate our lease. Incredibly poor service . read more

Reserved a secure parking spot at their 15600 Old 41 Rd N location in Naples. When inspecting the location before delivering my RV I found the gate broken in open position with nobody working on it. Mostly junk in yard, but I did not want to leave a brand new Airstream in open field parking lot. I told the office I was not going to accept this spot and to return my money. I spoke with main office on three occasions with zero results. Pick any other storage company and you will surely get better customer service. Don't walk, run away from this company. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!Rented a climate controlled unit and the Ac's are not working properly old manager said they had work orders in but I'm still charged. Price goes up from promises price. Bands rent space and leave AC space doors open. For months gates always open. Avoid this place my opinion based on horrible experience. read more

RENTERS BEWARE! UHAUL BEWARE! The location is a mess and aren't following corporate policies! I've met and talked too 4 different people during my U-Haul rentals, All 4 claimed to be the manager. I can't speak for their storage but their U-Haul rentals are no good! They don't charge uhaul corporate rates on everything! They charge extra for little things and pocket the extras. One example of many. You have to rent the hitch on the back of their truck separate from the truck. Every other uhaul I've been to it's been included. This company and storage place is HORRIBLE!! They increase rates when it gets closer to the busy season. Then they still increase rates. Within 1.5 years they over doubled the storage unit rent. They are extremely RUDE as well. Then when we finally got our stuff out they did NOT prorate my rent and charged me for an additional month. Why should I waste my time having to call to get refunded!! We have a storage unit with a U-haul facility and they are extremely professional, curtious and helpful. There is a reason that this company is cheap on the front end of renting. They tack on fees & don't tell you about it. I was charged an admin fee that no one told me about. I was told at the beginning that my credit card would be charged monthly for my bill, it never was & I got late fees which they would not remove. After only a month without pay (because I didn't know they were not charging my credit card) they put a lock on my unit & charged me for it. There was a 24 hour access fee that was added, without my knowledge or approval, that I don't use and that they will not remove. These guys are a rip off!! Their customer service is terrible & I wouldn't recommend them to anyone for any service. They keep raising my rates- the lady who manages the place is a hostile bully. They charge for things they shouldn't and then refuse to remove the charges. They don't communicate with their corporate office so the main place doesn't know about their extra fees and random rules- the problem is the corporate office answers the phone after normal business hours and will give you the wrong information about the fees saying they don't have anything like that- and this place will go ahead and make you pay extra for their mistakes. They will lock your stuff if you don't pay extra money unfairly charged. During the month of hurricane IAN they decided to request a new lease to be signed- in person. They didn't communicate this with their corporate office- They gave 30 days- the hurricane happened. There was no way to get ahold of them or pay them for the last part of the month. They went ahead and charged the $100- even to people who lost everything in the storm- and said "well you had 3 weeks" she outright called me a liar when i tried to explain that i had called corporate and they said there was no such charge or lease to be signed. She was SO NASTY and hostile. I brought my boyfriend the next time when I came because I felt so intimidated and unfairly treated by this woman. Now every time i go I'm wondering if I'm going to be jumped by that crazy monster of a woman. They ARE HORRIBLE TRASH PEOPLE. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! read more

Rented a moving truck through Midgard a week in advance. Showed up on time for my 1pm reservation only to be told that they had cancelled it without notifying me, they had no more trucks and there was nothing they could do to help me. I had taken the day off from work to move and Midgard ruined that with their complete disregard of my reservation. read more

LOST MY RESERVATION! I made a reservation with the manager Chad at the old 41 location back in September. He said he would send me an email with the reservation information. A week goes by and I never received the email. Called Chad again to ask about the reservation. He reassured me I had one and even read to me the date and specifics of my motorhome to prove he had it on file. He said he was having issues with the reservation emails but that I definitely had a reservation in. I called Midgard a week before my reservation date to make sure all was well only to find out Chad no longer was manager there and that there was no record of my reservation. I spoke with the new manager Jess who said there were no spots available and that I should call their other location (40 mins away from me) to see if they have any. They didn't. I called Jess back a day later to express my concerns and that I had a reservation with Chad. She said she would look into it and then never called me back. I called the main customer service number and talked to John, he said he would forward my information to the Old 41 and someone (Jess) would get back to me. No one did. I ended up calling Jess back at Midgard to try and get some resolution. When she answered, I reminded her who I was and what I was calling about to which I received a response of "Ugghhh, can you hold for a minute?" I was on hold for over 10 mins and she never came back to the line. I called John again and asked for a general managers name and contact information. He said he had a name but no contact information. I decided to try Jess again at the old 41 location and all she said was there was were no spots available and I was on the waiting list (for a spot I already had reserved!!!). 3 weeks later and I have not heard back from anyone! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Luckily I was able to find storage for half the cost as Midgard, so I guess this is a blessing in disguise. I also learned to insist on some sort of reservation confirmation, whether email or just a reservation number. read more

Paid for climate control and security for my two units. The gate has been broken for months and left open and there is no climate control. When I gave my 30 days notice it doesn't go until that date of the next month, you still have to pay for the entire next month. Poor customer service and policies. read more

Great location to store my boat. Easy access and parking for my vessel. Also close to wiggins pass boat ramp, to make things that much easier They even have a wash down station and boat wash supplies at the main office. I highly recommend storing at this location! read more
