Originally this was a 1 Star review, but I have now changed this to 4 Stars due to my conversation with Susan. After I wrote this review, I received a phone call from Susan from Best Cleaners. She was very nice and easy to talk to. She explained their store policy, and the service I received was not in their policy. She said that they will be working on improving customer relations. She addressed my concerns and resolved my issues in a very professional manner. *************************************************************** I should have listened to other reviewers on this site along with the others...I had a HORRIBLE experience. First off, they do not do their dry cleaning on premises, it is shipped out to Loundonville. My suit ended up getting lost and I did not have it for my meeting! I finally received a call a day later to tell me they found it and it "should" be in the following day. I called to confirm before making the trip and they still could not confirm. So I made the drive and the clerk Don said "is this for 2 pairs of pants". I told him no, a suit. It took about 5-10 minutes and luckily it was found. I mentioned how upset I was and that it was very inconvenient for me as this was needed for an important function. His response was, it's not my fault or problem which really put me off. I asked if he could give me a discount for my inconvenience. He said no. I asked to speak to a manager. He said No! I asked him for the manager or owners name and he said it was none of my business!! I then asked him if he could call the manager and put me on speaker phone and he refused that as well! I then told him that I understand now why there is many bad reviews on this place and him in particular as well, and that I was also going to include one too. He said "those reviewers are COWARDS, JUST LIKE YOU" I was in shock! He really edged me to the point of frustration being that I am a young petite female. I said in response you are a jerk, and he called me a bully! He then mumbled something which sounded like a degrading female put down as I was walking out (I don't want to repeat on here). I stopped in my tracks and said, do you have something to say, and he then said no and laughed. I have never been so insulted ever when doing business with a shop. This man has a major attitude and gender discrimination, and this business will fail with people like this working there. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. Customer service here is abysmal. Took them nearly a month longer than their claim ticket said it would to return an item. I received no updates from them the entire time, just a "we'll text you when it's in". No apology at pickup. I had a coupon that I was planning on using that had expired because the item took so much longer than it was supposed to and they wouldn't honor it. And there was no supervisor or manager onsite to assist, just an associate who wasn't interested at all in anything. I reached out a week ago and filed a complaint and received no outreach or callback. I'm going to be avoiding this cleaner for the foreseeable future. read more

A friend of mine gave me a wool jacket which was very nice but I knew it needed to be dry cleaned, so I immediately took it to my FAVORITE & ONLY dry cleaners that I use....BEST CLEANERS! And that is EXACTLY what they are. I went in on a Friday, and Anthony was the young man who waited on me. He greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. Such a very nice young man & a great worker. So, I gave him the jacket & left the rest up to the Cleaners. I went in to pick the Jacket up on Tuesday, again Anthony was there and once again, he quickly greeted me & asked if I was picking up, took, my info, retrieved my jacket, and let me tell you, IT LOOKED REMARKABLE....BRAND NEW!!! i couldn't wait to get home to try it on because I knew just by looking at it that it was going to be wonderful and comfortable. IT was more than I thought they could do with it. NO ONE would ever think this jacket is old. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! I ABSOLUTELY, MOST DEFINITELY WILL RECOMMEND BEST CLEANERS OVER & OVER! If I could have given more than 5 STARS, I MOST CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE! I will be headed back soon because I want need to get my winter coat cleaned. THANK YOU BEST CLEANERS, AND THANK YOU ANTHONY FOR BEING SUCH A PLEASANT AND FANTASTIC EMPLOYEE. GREAT employees are few & far between, and Anthony ranks up at the top in my book. (When I was a manager, I had 26 employees, & trust me, there were a few that ended up in the conference room on a regular basis to get warning, but then back in to get written up. Bad service turned good at Best Cleaners (formerly Kem). I dropped off a shirt and two dresses on 10/11 or 10/12 and was told they'd be ready for pickup on Thursday 10/14. The dresses were done on time, but when I went to pick up, the shirt was missing. They asked me to come back the following week. I returned on Tuesday 10/19. Still no shirt, but they'd call with an update in the next couple of days! Or not. Didn't hear anything, so I called on Thursday 10/21. The shirt was still missing, but the manager would call me the next day! Or not. I called 15 minutes before closing on Friday 10/22 and was told they'd been trying to reach me ALL DAY. When I confirmed the number, they had the wrong area code. I'd only given it to them three times already. Finally got a call from them on 10/25 to tell me the shirt was lost, they'd submit a reimbursement claim, and I should call back in a week or two if I didn't hear from them. While I was annoyed about the shirt, at least they were trying to make up for it. The manager and employee were more than apologetic, not that I was particularly angry. Fast forward to yesterday, 11/2. Miraculously, the shirt had rematerialized! Picked it up (no charge, naturally) and hauled ass out of there. I'm not sure if they do their dry cleaning remotely or what, but I have no idea how a shirt just up and disappears. I'll be going to in-house dry cleaners from now on. Props to the manager and staff for being responsive and doing what they could, though. UPDATE 11/8/10: I got a voicemail from someone else at Best Cleaners on Saturday 11/6 asking me to call and talk about my "experience." I called back, it went straight to voicemail. I went in here today as a NEW customer- I had 2 winter coats that both needed buttons sewn on and 1 coat needed to be cleaned, also.. I'm sort of assuming the guy at the counter was the owner, his name was NOD, or DON and he just had his name tag on backwards.. Anyway, his attitude was a little off-setting, like he was in a huge rush (I was the only customer in there), and it seemed as though he had no idea what he was doing, or what the seamstress was capable of doing regarding a leather jacket.. but whatever, I needed my coats taken care of.. Here's the problem- he was rushing to enter things into the computer and print out all these tickets with the wrong instructions on them without paying any attention to certain details I was trying to point out to him. He actually got annoyed because my coat had a belt on it that he didn't see and that was a "separate piece!" (very huffily).. He never made any indication on my coats, on my tickets or in the computer about what specific things I needed done, and threw all my items into a bin.. So I left with ZERO confidence that what I needed done, was going to be done correctly.. Not a good start as a new customer.. I then left the store realizing I failed to mention I needed all the buttons tightened, as well. So I start to turn around, but was honestly hesitant and uncomfortable about going back and telling him because of the attitude he gave me the first time.. which I have no idea why.. I go back in, and he looks at me with this look of annoyance, like- what. I very nicely, and sort of nervously say- oh, I'm so sorry, I forget to mention I needed the buttons tightened, also.. he looks at me like its a total inconvenience, and like, are you kidding me!? Just a total nasty attitude. I'm like- is that ok? (very nicely). And he's like- yea (total nasty attitude). I left feeling worse than I felt the first time I left. I started driving away, and decided to turn around and just get my coats. Which I did. And he said nothing to me.... no curiosity WHY I decided to take my coats back... ? I'm a nice, easy going person, and had no care about the cost of all these things I needed done... so, what kind of business owner treats a NEW customer like that!? As a professional and a police officer boyfriend who both have a lot of clothes which need dry cleaning, he lost potentially loyal customers. read more

I live near Best Cleaners, so if I need something dry cleaned, I come here because it's convenient for me. Thankfully, it's not that often, but this place suits my dry cleaning needs. If one were to drop off their dry cleaning before 9am, they promise that the dry cleaning will be ready by 5pm that night. I haven't had an issue with that level of prompt service. However, their computer system could use a swift kick in the pants, since I apparently have multiple accounts in their system (I used to use their Latham location for dry cleaning when I lived in that area of town) and it confuses the living daylights out of the staff at the Glenville location. read more

My sister in law went in to pick up my curtains and questioned for a third time the price and discovered that they did make a mistake. I am glad the price was half, but if she did not question it again, I would have ended up paying the $122.40. Glad with the end result! read more

Mid August dropped off some dry cleaning at BEST, mostly suits. Very L/T customer. They have adopted an annoying practice of separating your suit pants from suit jackets...so when you get home you have to match up all those dark colors when you take the plastic off. Thanks for that. Picked out my slacks for my office one day only to find out they had give me three woman's slacks rather than two of my suits. Talked to manager three times in two days...each time he promised a call back or an e-mail. Didn't get any of those callbacks initially...he did call today to handle this correctly. I recently visited Best Cleaners in Glenville, NY. to meet with the seamstress to discuss what was needed to alter and bustle my wedding dress. When I arrived, the front counter person was friendly and directed me to Bea, the seamstress. Bea was very courteous and helpful in advising on what to do with a bustle and where the dress should be altered. My dress has a great deal of beading and detail. I am completely satisfied with how my dress turned out. It was done in a timely manner with precise altering. I recently visited Best Cleaners in Glenville, NY with my daughter to meet with their seamstress. My daughter had purchased her wedding gown and there were alterations needed. Best Cleaners' seamstress, Bea, was knowledgeable and friendly and offered her professional opinion on what needed to be done.
