Called them about wash&fold services (as I've been cleaning and unpacking for what seems like weeks now), and didn't have time to babysit my wash as I was trying to get bits and pieces done before work. The lady answered my questions politely, said I'd be down soon. I dropped my stuff off - the facility is bright and clean. Maybe not the softest neighborhood, but the storefront is welcoming. The woman who took my laundry weighed it - when she calculated the total she saw the amount (and maybe the look on my face) and asked if I was a student - I am, and she gave me a discount. I asked if she could have it ready by three - I had to work at five - and she assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I arrive shortly after three, everything is ready to go. She even helps me to my car. I get home, everything is neatly folded - but the thing I can't get over is that my laundry smells like home. Whatever she used, it's the same as I use, which was a wonderful surprise. My blankets are beautifully clean, and that night I curled up in them and for the first time in over a month (for that's how long it had been since I had my things), I felt like I had come home. I slept wonderfully that night. Even though it's out of my way, I'll be bringing my laundry down that way, whether to do myself or to have done. I appreciate the attendant who took such good care of my things - if you're reading this, you made a weary soul very, very happy. Long story short, I'll be back!

The next day I took it in to them and they gave me a really hard time. All I wanted was for them to fix the suit to the condition I brought it in. They argued and said they wouldn't re hem the pants. When the auto text came in, they charged me $22 to clean the suit. I also noticed there was a bad iron mark on the sleeve which I didn't even talk about but would never wear the suit in public. The damage was so bad, I can't wear the suit. Just about the worse customer service I've ever had. Really bad dry cleaner.

She called the woman over and she literally punched the machine and it started working. It was set for permanent Press but somehow the dryer got so hot that it literally burned all the clothing to the dryer. See pictures. The woman and the owner were very rude and kept pointing at the sign which was not posted near the dryers. No offer of replacing the very very expensive Christmas gifts that her daughter (age 14) had just received. At the very least they should have offered monetary compensation for the items that were burnt. Very bad customer service.

Everything finished and we began loading everything into the dryers. Once we filled the gigantic 75LB dryer and attempted to start it, nothing happened. So we try again, nothing happens. Frustrated, we start moving everything into the 45LB dryer next to us. We fill it up, go to start it, nothing happens. Not ideal, but not the end of the world, let's call for support. We attempt the tech support line and are not answered. After a few minutes we try again and are finally answered. The man seemed kind but he was unable to offer any help and suggested we try the ones further down. Luckily, those did work. Somewhere in trying to figure all this out, we got a $5 hold? Really just a stressful experience. Inexplicably the Best Cleaners in the Slingerland's Price Chopper Plaza vanished. After many weeks…read moreof letting shirts pile up I schlepped over to the Delmar location (not on my normal route home from work.) I inquired about the Slingerlands location being closed (wacky story) but commenting that the Delmar outlet was out of my way, the clerk indicated that they did pick up and drop off. When she said it was no extra cost I nearly passed out, and then immediately signed up. It's pretty amazing: they text you the day before pick up and ask you to either respond Y or ignore the message (they also email you.) Then, some phantom materializes to take the bag of clothes you left on the front porch; days later that phantom returns with cleaned clothes on hangers (I do wish they'd stop hanging my clothes off the front door knocker; points to this week's delivery for hanging them off the flag holder. The charges are magically applied to my credit card. How amazing is that? The service is also excellent (but, not cheap per shirt...)
