Drove a good distance to the laundromat. I wanted a comforter laundered. No attendant present to take it in and no information available about his/her availability. It appears to function only as a do-it-yourself laundromat these days. The earlier reviews appear to reflect a former business model, unavailable now. Disappointing. read more

Tried this laundromat out for the first time today based on other good reviews. Sure enough it is super clean, has more than enough quality machines of different sizes, and makes it easy to pay- plus the loyalty card allows you to double your dollar if you pay $20 up front. Low stock on the soap vending machines but I brought my own detergent so it wasn't an issue. Lots of clean surfaces for folding. Took one star off because the doors closed 30 minutes before the official closing time- luckily there was someone inside who could let me in to get my laundry out. I'll definitely be back! read more

Laundromat is clean, stainless steel washer and dryers, free parking AND it's inexpensive compared to other laundromats in the area. We also used Miss KKs Wash and Fold Service. Everything was folded neatly and smelled great! read more

Our washer broke and we have a laundromat a half a mile from us and I refuse to go there so we went to a couple places and ended up at Lucky Cat on our 3rd attempt at finding a decent place. This is our 6th time here and it so clean and the attendant is super friendly and extremely helpful. I've seen a few negative reviews about it being dirty I have NEVER seen this place anything less than shining. This place takes cards which makes it so much easier than carrying around a ton of change. The machines are high quality and super fast. With 5 big loads of laundry we're never here more than an hour and a half. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Came in for a wash and fold service to an empty shop. It was literally desolate, after waiting 10 minutes and knocking on every door..I left with my belongings. It looked dirty and run down anyway. I brought my laundry elsewhere, would recommend the same to anyone thinking of using Lucky Cat. read more

Moved into the washington park area from guilderland earlier this month. I've always had on-premise laundry facilities available to me, so this was my first experience with laundered services (outside of dry cleaning). Called them about wash&fold services (as I've been cleaning and unpacking for what seems like weeks now), and didn't have time to babysit my wash as I was trying to get bits and pieces done before work. The lady answered my questions politely, said I'd be down soon. I dropped my stuff off - the facility is bright and clean. Maybe not the softest neighborhood, but the storefront is welcoming. The woman who took my laundry weighed it - when she calculated the total she saw the amount (and maybe the look on my face) and asked if I was a student - I am, and she gave me a discount. I asked if she could have it ready by three - I had to work at five - and she assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I arrive shortly after three, everything is ready to go. She even helps me to my car. I get home, everything is neatly folded - but the thing I can't get over is that my laundry smells like home. Whatever she used, it's the same as I use, which was a wonderful surprise. My blankets are beautifully clean, and that night I curled up in them and for the first time in over a month (for that's how long it had been since I had my things), I felt like I had come home. I slept wonderfully that night. Even though it's out of my way, I'll be bringing my laundry down that way, whether to do myself or to have done. I appreciate the attendant who took such good care of my things - if you're reading this, you made a weary soul very, very happy. Long story short, I'll be back! read more

This is by far the nicest laundromat I've ever been to. I live in the neighborhood and the other laundromat is horrific, and frequently is inhabited by homeless people shooting up and smoking indoors. Needless to say, this is a welcome addition to the area. I love that you can pay with your card! I will be coming here each month to wash my huge comforters and bedding that doesn't fit in a standard size machine. Hope the place stays as pristine and nice as it is now. read more

If I could give it more stars I would. Anyone can do drop off laundry but the customer service provided was OUTSTANDING. We were stopping over in Albany on Saturday evening as we transitioned by daughter from one summer camp to another. We needed to get the laundry done and the drop off service was only for weekdays. The folks at Lucky cat helped me out and got 20 lbs of laundry dropped of at 6;30 pm done by 9am on a Sunday. We thanked them - but I felt the need to let others know how great these folks are. I am really impressed with this new laundromat in Downtown Albany. Excellent new machines meticulously maintained and a clean and attractive atmosphere. There is ample off-street parking and a very helpful attendant. Prices are not the cheapest but they are reasonable especially considering how good the place is. Lucky cat is fantastic! There machines do exactly what you'd expect with industrial laundry machines-they clean your clothes! I've been going to different laundry mats in Albany and this one by far is the best bang for your buck. The owner is kind and cares about his business. And one of the best things is that they have a parking lot which beats parking on the street and walking with bulk laundry. Highly recommend this place! read more
