After going to other laundromats, I'm bumping this up a star. I didn't realize just how well these machines really worked, and how cheaply I did my laundry until going to other local mats.
Pros: Open until 1 am (why I was so far from home in the first place). Washers and dryers were clean, and worked great for a reasonable price. I had two weeks worth of laundry, 2 sets of sheets, towels, a rug, and a giant comforter washed, dried, and folded in just over an hour for $10. Folding table was clean albeit worn. The owner owns the shop next door so although the place isn't staffed, there is always someone right there if you have issues, and you can grab a soda or as another reviewer mentioned, a 40.
Cons: No parking anywhere (at night anyway). I had to put flashers on, load the machines, then drive a 0.5 mile down the road to park in a lot I'm pretty sure was private. The clientele was seriously sketchy. There were two guys, minding there own, doing wash. I'm glad they were there, they seemed normal. The others that came in were clearly high as a kite, and loud and annoying as hell. I couldn't read (or even think) when they were there, which is what I tend to do when I'm waiting. At this point I had to zip up my purse and put it under my arm. Not that I leave my purse lying around, but usually I can set it where I'm folding and feel safe. I'm sure anyone from the Albany area would know this area, but I didn't.
Would I come here again? If I lived in the neighborhood, yes as the machines were great, but I would go earlier in the day while the junkies are sleeping. However, since it's out of my way, and it wasn't the most pleasant experience, I doubt I would go back. read more
