Moved into the washington park area from guilderland earlier this month. I've always had…read moreon-premise laundry facilities available to me, so this was my first experience with laundered services (outside of dry cleaning). Called them about wash&fold services (as I've been cleaning and unpacking for what seems like weeks now), and didn't have time to babysit my wash as I was trying to get bits and pieces done before work. The lady answered my questions politely, said I'd be down soon. I dropped my stuff off - the facility is bright and clean. Maybe not the softest neighborhood, but the storefront is welcoming. The woman who took my laundry weighed it - when she calculated the total she saw the amount (and maybe the look on my face) and asked if I was a student - I am, and she gave me a discount. I asked if she could have it ready by three - I had to work at five - and she assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I arrive shortly after three, everything is ready to go. She even helps me to my car. I get home, everything is neatly folded - but the thing I can't get over is that my laundry smells like home. Whatever she used, it's the same as I use, which was a wonderful surprise. My blankets are beautifully clean, and that night I curled up in them and for the first time in over a month (for that's how long it had been since I had my things), I felt like I had come home. I slept wonderfully that night. Even though it's out of my way, I'll be bringing my laundry down that way, whether to do myself or to have done. I appreciate the attendant who took such good care of my things - if you're reading this, you made a weary soul very, very happy. Long story short, I'll be back!

Very clean, tons of machines and you can use a credit card instead of quarters. The machines are a couple seconds slow to authorize and then credit the washer or dryer so just give it a second if it doesn't seem to be working. Plenty of carts and chairs as well as outlets to charge your phone. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to do an epic amount (six loads) of laundry I had gotten behind on and wanted done fast. I saw only about 3-4 people in the about 1.5 hours it took to do all the laundry and fold it. Most people were chill, although one person was playing music on their phone kind of loud, but it was music I liked (Lady Gaga), so no major complaints. The rest of the time it was quiet. There's an ice cream shop on the corner and a pub down the street.

Pretty funky around the edges, but okay to use. The customers that I talked to there really really loved the place, so maybe it's just me. I'd like it much better and not keep looking around for another place if it were cleaner. Wash time is short but people liked that because the prices were cheaper and you get out faster. My clothes were clean, except for heavily soiled items. There is a heavily soiled option on each washer, I didnt use it because I was concerned it might be a more vigorous cycle, which would not have worked for the clothes I had. Nonetheless, for others, that could work well. Washers are around $3.50-$12 (for the huge monster washer)
