When I picked the clothes, I mentioned I thought the prices were high. The person said well, we have discount codes sometimes. The next time I brought in clothes there was 20% off code that had been texted to me. When I picked up the clothes the person working there said the code was not working and she would call her manager and have it applied. After waiting a week and not seeing the credit, I called back and they said they can't give me a credit but would note in my acct 20% off next time. Instead of going back, I've found a cleaner with 20% lower prices and closer to me.

I also asked them to fix a tear, clean up a stain, and condition my beloved leather bomber jacket. The person I spoke to was very interested in the coat, we chatted a good bit about it, and she assured me it would be well taken care of. A couple hours later, she called and informed me that they'd noticed that an inside panel at the back of the neck was also quite damaged. She wanted to make sure I was aware of this (I was) and assured me that they would do all they could to repair this as well because "I know how much this coat means to you." I didn't think this patch even could be repaired, which I why I hadn't mentioned it--to have it be noticed and addressed with such kindness means a lot to me. Professional, friendly, thorough, and kind. I'm looking forward to working with this business for a long time.

I carried an arm full of suits to the dry cleaning desk and had a decent interaction with the woman there, although the price she quoted was high than the ones listed on the wall. For the record, it was about $100 in services for my dry cleaning alone. Before I went to get the rest of my laundry from my car, I entered the laundromat to get quarters for the laundry I was about to do. As I left, I was greeted by the front desk woman from next door who proceeded to accuse me of stealing from them for taking quarters and leaving. While, I can understand that this would be an issue for a small business, she wouldn't consider any other explanation than I was a thief. At that point I was offended by her accusation and I told her I would like my dry cleaning back and will take it somewhere else. Back next door, the owner who had sent her over to talk to me also proceeded to call me a liar and a thief for stealing from his customers. Apparently they don't consider people using their dry cleaning services as customers nor do they understand what stealing means, as I had used a change machine to exchange dollar bills for quarters. This I was my first (and last) experience with Towne. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if this is how their "customers" are treated.
