Upon entering, an employee greets you, asks what you are there for and pages someone to meet you at that area. An employee met me at the laptop section named Brian. He is with a Lenovo laptop. I wasn't interested with it, but he was able to help me with HP laptop. He gave me some informations to decide what to buy. Unfortunately, by the time I decided what to buy - they didn't have the laptop in stock so they sent me to a different location. The good part it was a nearby branch. It was a good visit. Learned something new. And Brian - the employee was very helpful. Plenty of parking. Restrooms were available and accessible for people with disabilities. The service is friendly, lots of inventory and things are reasonably priced. My only knock is you can't call the store directly. I tried. I've been here a few other times and have never had a negative experience. This place is a typical size, but still has a car audio installation department. All of my visits here was to pick up an online order. Since most or all Best Buys these days are pretty empty, there wasn't a wait for me to pick up my orders. The whole process was pretty fast. I spent around 40 min with him answering all my questions, and I had a lot, but he was patient and answered all with grace and no judgment. Love coming to this location! They're always so helpful especially with some last minute shopping. My friends and I dropped by last weekend not realizing they closed in like 30 min but we didn't need that much time anyway. We just needed to pick up some Pokémon cards to open with our friends via FaceTime who were out of state so that we could all "hang out". The staff were all very friendly and it was basically empty. They have the cards set up behind the customer service counter so we were leaning over to see what they had till one of the workers let us go behind the counter to do our shopping. We picked out a few things and were out of there within 15 minutes. I usually always come here to get my new iPhone as well and always had great customer service when it came to purchasing and transferring data. We have had 2 visits to the store within a week of each other to make a large purchase a new 75inch TV plus a sound bar. First off it would seem there is not a lot of staff and the ones that are working know nothing about what they are selling! 35 minutes later we left very annoyed. Yesterday we decided to go back one member of staff said they would get some one to help us 20 minutes later having looked around ourselves still no one came to help us so we walked out.! I've had terrible service in Atwater Village, Burbank; finally I have something positive to say about this Best Buy in Porter Ranch. The greeter/loss prevention man was able to point me in the right direction. I had questions about headphones and he was able to give me price checks. He was friendly and also told me it was a great deal. I also was told it was a great deal by the cashier. I had bought a open box item and was able to open the box as well and see what was in it and quality of the product. 10 days ago I bought the Beats Solo 3 for 98.00 and the sound quality is basic. It feels like my ears are being squashed and I don't recommend this product. They are valued at 250-300.00 in other locations. I'm keeping them but I don't plan on wearing them for hours. The battery life is great and the look is wonderful. I've been here 3-5 times and I'll probably come back. read more

Suddenly, it stopped printing correctly and I had tried everything (I thought) myself, went online to Epson, called Epson, emailed Epson and even thought of bringing the printer to a repair shop. After all that, I took it to Geek Squad at Porter Ranch where, Sam, the amazing and wonderful tech person, figured out the problem after spending a lot of time with me and my printer without giving up. They were absolutely skilled and efficient and my printer is all fixed! I won't go into all that was wrong, but Sam totally fixed the problem. I am forever grateful. read more

I came to this Best Buy location on my way back home from work to look for a CR123 battery today. They of course only had the multi pack instead of the single battery so I decided not to get it. The store looks very organize and I only interact with the person watching the entrance and exit sign. He was polite and greeted me when I walked inside. The battery was easy to find if you just look at the signs since they label each area. There a lot of parking here so there'll never be an issue unless on like Black Friday. They also had a sign on the entrance about mask so just be aware of that. I wore mine throughout the store which isn't an issue for me. read more

My husband and I were looking for a refrigerator to replace our Whirlpool refrigerator that had the compressor go out. We received excellent service in the store and even delivery. The appliance dept was very helpful and looked up various options for us and found a Frigidaire refrigerator that was available for delivery on Aug. 30, 2023. All the other refrigerators could not be delivered until Sept. 11, 2023--which was too long. We ordered the Frigidaire refrigerator. Fernando, the delivery person was prompt and showed up on Aug. 30, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. in the morning. He did a great job, removing the old refrigerator and installing the new Frigidaire refrigerator. Fernando checked to make sure the new refrigerator was operating properly. Best Buy in Porter Ranch gave my husband and I excellent service. read more

I went up to Best Buy to make a final decision on a new range. Needed to find out about delivery/installation cost and what benefits my Best Buy membership would provide. I want to appliances where 2 employees were busy talking only to each other, as were 2 other employees near the area. I walked close to them, but the just talked to each other. I left, telling the door guy that I'd have to buy elsewhere, because the guys in appliances were too busy talking to each other. He grinned and said, "Ok, have a great night." I've been coming here since I was a freshman in college back in 2003. I've noticed a slow decay in the location over the decade & a half. What a bummer. The interior still looks nice, but I've watched as certain departments shrink in size while others grow. I know it's a sign of the times, but Best Buy used to be my go to spot for new CDs and DVDs and now there barely have anything. That's not this location's fault I know, but I'm just making an observation. But, the real killer is the employees. They're often so clueless as to where things are or about the product you have a question on. And then there are the checkout lines where even when it's not busy I often find myself standing there...alone. With no employee behind a register to complete my purchase. Don't they want to make money? This has definitely not been a one time occurrence. And then whatever employee(s) keeps cranking up terrible EDM music on the speaker displays needs to stop. I fills the whole store with music that a lot people don't appreciate (myself included). I often go over & turn it down only to hear it get turned back up shortly after I leave the area. Stop it! I know they're employees since it's always a blue shirt, khaki pants wearing person. The store manager really needs to relay to employees that by blasting this music they make it a very unenjoyable shopping experience. She put my needs over the stores profit which will make me now want to shop at this store always. The store is very clean with everyone wearing masks. They require customers to wear masks. They have sanitizer at the check stands and clean the area after each transaction. The bathrooms are very clean. I love this store. They make you feel welcome. read more

Best Buy, why even bother running brick and mortar stores anymore? It's unbelievable how bad a typical experience is at this store. It's been this way for a few years now. If you added tumbleweeds to the decor, they would blend right in! It's very sad the state that this store has become. It takes a really long time to get help with something. The customer service counter is literally the only register ever open. This place used to be alive! Tons of blue shirts running around, interactive displays of products, constant communication between employees on the PA system, and millions of in stock products. Going into this location eerily reminds me of Radio Shack in its final days. This brings tears to my eyes... when I was in high school, I was part of the Best Buy team that opened this location back in 1998. I worked there for years. Made a ton of friends. Was one of my first jobs! 27 years later and this place makes me feel sick to my stomach. You guys have outlasted the greats of Fry's, Good Guys, Circuit City (or as a former Best Buy employee we used to call it "Short Circuit") and helped to eliminate most retail music chains (along with the advent of MP3) with your super discounted $11 CD's.
