My internet was down yesterday, which meant wasn't able to do any streaming on my TV! After several hours of research and trying to figure out why.....determined our router died. Luckily my resident techie came to the rescue! He found a good router at our local Best Buy in stock! To make things a bit better...he was able to get a 15% discount with trading in the old one too. It is a good place to get movies and tv s They have other items too. I was in to pick up some cards and to look at the newer video games. The store is clean and the people are helpful and friendly. I am only giving two stars for now , the game selection was lacking and I was told to check them out on line since they may have more there. I am a more of a hands on type , rather have it than wait. I thought buying a dashcam and getting it installed from this best buy would be a good idea. I was wrong. I bought two dashcams one for my wife's car and one for mine. I set up the installation dates and that's where the problems began. My appointment for my car was canceled for no reason, then automatically rescheduled on a weekday instead of the weekend like I had scheduled. A little inconvenience, so I logged online and rescheduled it to the following weekend. My wife's car was still scheduled for today. I had to block off my work schedule in order to take my wife's car for the appointment. Two hours before my appointment, I get an email from general manager apologizing that his installer had an emergency and won't be able to install the dashcam. Wth. So I decided to just cancel everything, refund the product and installation. I had to call in to their call center, bounced around twice, and before she could complete the refund on the installation, I got disconnected. So I had to call in again, get bounced around twice, again, finally got a competent rep that could finish the refund for the installation. This Store is a sinking ship if I ever saw one. I was going to purchase a computer system from them, but after this experience, I'm going elsewhere. read more

Ordered a 50" tv online and paid an extra fee for next day guaranteed delivery all to not receive it the following day. Such a hassle figuring out when and where the tv is coming after finding out that Best Buy does NOT deliver the products themselves, rather they use a 3rd party delivery service who can accept or deny pickup and drop offs. Not only that but we paid extra and got it two days after purchase. They refunded us the next day extra fee of $15, but it was the principle of not receiving a service I paid for in a specific time frame. Next time I'll go and pick up the order myself and get it same day. I thought I was saving time from driving down to the store and getting curb side pickup, when in reality I waited two full days. Good Samsung tv for the price once received. Avoid delivery if you need the item quickly. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This happened about 49 minutes ago. Asked an associate for help purchasing a ring contact sensor behind glass. He rolls his eyes and says,"Are you even going to buy anything? I'm in the middle of something." When I told him I don't have to buy anything if he's busy he just says, "whatever." I let manger know on the way out after purchasing two air conditioners. Manger says, "the cameras don't record eye rolls or words so there's nothing I can do." We ordered a tv from Best Buy that arrived damaged. Unfortunately it was for our cabin, that we don't live at so we didn't realize it was damaged until outside the 15 day return window. When we tried calling Best Buy, they bounced us to geek squad, who bounced us to Samsung (manufacturer) who then sent us back to Best Buy and we were finally told they couldn't help and we would have to come into a store. So we packed it up and drove it back across 2 states. At the store we were told they could see the damage was clearly done in shipping and sure they could help us, IF we were willing to pay $50 to get a Best Buy plus membership. When I questioned having to pay extra to receive basic customer service I was told basically why would they help me for free when they can charge for it. And that it was my fault for living an area that a physical Best Buy location wasn't accessible, even though they were more than happy to ship it to me. I almost forgot to mention they said if I had a new one shipped it would probably just arrive damaged again. What a joke, this place should be called worst buy. Their practices are nothing short of a scam. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere that stands behind their products and offers basic costumer service to all their customers rather than just the ones who are willing to pay extra for some scam membership. read more

Absolutely the worst serivce. Went to buy something that rang up double the price on the shelf. The rude and unprofessional guy behind the counter said "that's too bad, that is the price". I explained there were quite a few devices on the shelf with a tag saying this item was at the lower price and that even Amazon sells it for lower than what I was expecting to pay. He said that's the price, no offer to help or work through it just that's it. I said I wanted to talk to a manager and he looked at me like I was nutts, and shuffled (yes shuffled) away to go "find one". Returning without one. I went to geek squad with a broken lap top and told them I simply wanted to buy a new one and have them transfer the data from the old one. I was told it would be $100 to transfer and then I brought up that bestbuy.com says $80 if you buy in store. They tried convincing me that wasn't the case until I showed them directly on the website. Then I was told to go pick out the laptop I wanted. I already knew exactly what I wanted and told the sales associate in the laptop area. I told him there was a $5 credit on my account that I'd like applied and he said it would automatically credit me once my account was pulled up. He rang the laptop up, tried to upsell me on an annual membership plan which I told him multiple times I didn't want. Then after paying I saw that the credit was not applied. Then I went back to geek squad with the new computer and the associate I originally spoke with was gone so I had to start the whole saga over: tell them I wanted a data transfer, tell them multiple times I don't want the membership plan, tell them I just want the $80 transfer and them telling me it's a $100 and having me show them bestbuy.com says $80 if a new computer is purchased in store. Then they said that's only if you buy the data transfer as a bundle when you purchase the computer - which I'd just purchased 20 feet away 5 minutes ago. They agreed to "discount it" to $80 but acted like they were doing me a big favor. Then they tried to add a $40 computer setup fee, which was never mentioned at any point in the process. They said I could take the computer home and set it up myself and bring it back, but that it was a time consuming and complicated process. I asked for a manager, who lectured me on how setting up a computer takes time and their employees deserve to be paid for their time. I walked out without a data transfer, setup the computer myself in literally 2 minutes (I timed it because I was so furious that they were trying to convince me it was difficult to do). read more

Upon placing the order, I received the email stating that my item will be ready for pick-up on 12/03. They still don't have my security system available for pick-up. I purchased a microwave and trim kit from this location. The trim kit was available immediately but the microwave was delayed due to Covid. After a month of being delayed Best Buy cancelled the order. While inconvenient I understand it's due to Covid. I attempted to find the same microwave from 2 other vendors... no luck. So I purchased a different model. Unfortunately the trim kit is not compatible. I took the unopened trim kit back to Best Buy and was told the return period had expired and they could not take it back. I explained Best Buy cancelled my microwave order AFTER the return period had expired, and because of that I had no use for the trim kit. The manager stood by the policy. Best Buy customer service said accepting a return out of policy is manager discretion, and I should see if a different location will take it back. At this point I'm shocked that is the advice. Ultimately it's not worth my time to drive around hoping a Best Buy manager will do the right customer service thing. I will instead shop elsewhere from now on. read more

Time for an unfortunate update, this store is not the same as it was in 2017 and before. With an account there, we have bought microwaves, window ACs, a refrigerator, an upright freezer, and a dishwasher. It's always been a great experience with helpful, knowledgeable people helping us. Today we had made up our mind to buy what was the perfect gas/electric range, on sale for $2,000. When we arrived we gave our name to a greeter and wandered about the appliance section for 15 minutes. I went back to ask him how long it would be and he snapped back "I'll have someone there as soon as I can." so we waited another 10 minutes, and then walked out. there were only 3-4 other customers in the store, and one employee wandering around aimlessly, not helping anyone. No excuse was given for the delay, but since all the other places have the same one on sale we'll be looking elsewhere. read more

They will make you buy products, sign up for total tech, promise a lot of things and then just put you on a waitlist for the appointment till you get tired of them. They are down from 3 employees to 1, probably dont pay their employees too well or keep just the scammers like Caleb going. They are paid by how many products and memberships they sell, not about the quality of service. Got to cartoys or another mechanic who can do backup camera or other installs instead. There is a good reason that they have a 2 star rating. This company has the worst customer service on the planet. Their "customer service" phone number rings to a bunch on "call center" employees who all are working from home. Once you spend an hour on the phone to get through, they inform you that they cannot contact any local best buy, they cannot talk to a manager, they have no path of escalation. The supervisors and managers laugh at you when you ask them to do their job. It's pathetic.... I made the mistake of spending 2,000 for a samsung Z fold from this company. I spent $600 for a full replacement warranty. My phone is now damaged and I've spent 2 weeks trying to get it repaired. For example today spent 3 hours on the phone and was transferred to 4 different people. Most of whom just blindly transfer you to someone else with no warning, so you spend 25 mins listening to music on hold again before some other disinterested party answers the phone, only long enough to tell you they can't help you or they are going to transfer you to someone else.... or even MORE commonly they simply hang up on you. One particular employee "Julius" was beyond ridiculous. They immediately say "Let me put you on a brief hold while I "RESEARCH" your issue" Before even asking what my issue is. In reality they put you on hold and go get coffee or watch TV and hope you hang up. Julius kept wanting to put me on hold and I refused. So I got to spend 10 mins listening to him play with his kids and talk to his wife in the background while he was supposedly "researching" my issue. HE would completely ignore all my questions. After minutes of silence and no response, I would have to yell JULIUS WHAT ARE YOU DOING... before he would stop playing with the kids and come back and say " I am researching let me put you on hold. This is what to expect if you purchase something from BEST BUY. So again I've spent $2000 on a very overpriced phone and paid a fortune for a full replacement warranty and I am walking around with a broken phone. I have recorded hours of phone conversations and their refusal to do their jobs or honor the replacement. Although it does not matter because there is not a SINGLE manager, director, VP or anyone you can contact to escalate your issue to who cares... So even though I have outrageous recording of BEST BUY employees laughing at paying customer and refusing to do their job... They know there are no consequences because NO ONE CARES. The manager of the Issaquah store "Scott" told me "Well shop somewhere else then". So we should ALL takes Scotts advise and shop somewhere else... you've heard it from a store manager ... and I am happy to oblige. This is the most unprofessional, rude and arrogant company I have ever dealt with. Since they refuse to honor their commitment I am going to buy a new phone and sue them for the cost of the phone they refuse to repair as promised. The bottom line is this company is a scam, they are dishonest and lie to you as a standard practice. Their customer service people are completely ineffective, cannot even contact the stores they represent and are ignoring you because they are busy "working from home" I was excited to get my new Z fold.... This company has made the experience a NIGHTMARE. Now I am paying a lawyer to file a suit for breach of contract and will gladly pay him thousands of dollars to sever any and all ties with this disreputable excuse for a company. Do NOT buy on line. My G Son broke his lap top he needs for school. I bought a lap top on Best Buy. It was a Friday afternoon. The site said delivers the next day. So I ordered it instead of going to the location where it was in stock. I got a notification that night saying the item was delayed and that it usually is with in 24 to 48 hours. I thought OK Sunday is fine, even Monday would make him miss 1 class, so be it. If it didnt get shipped Saturday, I will just run to the store and get it. On my way to the store, I check my mail to see if it had been shipped so I can cancel if not and run and pick one one. It had been shipped, 5 minutes prior to me checking, ESTIMATED DELIVERY IS 2 WEEKS! i CALLED, THEY REFUSED TO CANCLE THE ORDER AND SAID i WOULD NEED TO RETURN IT IN 2 WEEKS WHEN IT ARIVES. Super impressed with my (2) experiences at the Issaquah BestBuy. The first was a couple years back when I was in the market for headphones. The employee was super knowledgeable about all the technology options and understood what my budget and wants were as far as covering the ear, Bluetooth etc. Most recent experience was this May during coronavirus. I ordered a wine fridge online to do curbside pickup. The parking lot was clearly marked with numbers and directions to alert the store you've arrived. There was an employee outside monitoring the bestbuy dedicated spots. I clicked "I'm here" on the email confirmation and noted my parking spot #. While I watched the employee on his tablet confirm my arrival and give me a thumbs up. He radioed another employee who brought out my fridge, check my ID (from a distance) and place in my trunk. Super easy seamless process. Will be going back! read more

This place continues to amaze me and not in a good way. Stopped in today and the place was like a morgue. The big guy sitting on his rear at the door simply looked at me when I walked in. He said nothing. I think I was the only customer at the door. I was seriously looking to upgrade my car's radio system but alas, nobody was there to help me. I then walked into the small appliance department to look at a new toaster to buy. Didn't see any toasters nor did I see anyone to ask where they might be on display. As I walked out the big guy at the door was chatting with THREE employees. Perhaps one of them could have made a sale. Great service provided at this location. I don't come here a ton but when I do I always have a quick and easy time. When it comes to electronics and my trips to Best Buy, I'm the type of person that walks in knowing exactly what I'm looking for. Mainly because I've probably been contemplating the purchase for quite some time and that's my chance to plunge with the impulse buy! The store is always very nicely stocked, lots of employees around, and things are just overall easy to find. I also like how they have a few sections within electronics with the " opened box" items that are usually discounted. A few years back I got a never been used iPad that had been discounted 30% because the box was open. This was a great find considering I didn't really NEED another iPad, but was able to justify the purchase with that discount. I also like their home appliances section and never paid much attention to it until this last time around. I'll be swinging by once my kitchen remodel starts to see what bargains they have running. read more

Bought the extended warranty for an iPad today but they said it was on an auto renewal which I didn't want. They said they couldn't change that but I could by logging into my Best Buy account (which I couldn't navigate to change it) or they said I could call CS and just tell them to change it to not auto renewal. I called and they said I had to do that closer to the auto renew date, which I didn't want to do as that's the whole reason I wanted to change it, I knew I would forget. I decided to just cancel it and get a refund, but they deducted $16 for what I used of the Best Buy 2 year warranty, but I NEVER used the service for anything! I had it all of 2 hours! The electronics department is filled with unattentive, snake oil salesman (at least they were last night). We went to this location to purchase a TV last night. Despite there being about 4-5 sales associates walking around, not one person bothered to acknowledge us or ask if we needed assistance. After waiting for 5 minutes, I approached a salesman and asked him to help us. When he walked over he just said, "what's up?" Sorry to bother you, bro. Fast forward: We decided on a TV to purchase and while we were checking out, the same associate mentioned above asked us if we wanted to purchase the Best Buy Extended Warranty Plan. He then tried to tell us that the Sony TV didn't have a limited manufacturer's warranty. We basically called him out on that right on the spot. The store seems to be filled with kids who have no clue about customer service and enjoy telling lies to the customers in order to make an upsell. Went to Best Buy today to get some new cable for my iPhone as well as my daughters. Not only did the gentleman help us with that he notified us that are cracked screen protectors are under a lifetime warranty and offered to replace them for free. Such great customer service. I was there for a video game they didn't have which they recommended me to the Bellevue location which I eventually picked up there. I am trying to save my 90 year old mother from a $200 mo Comcast cable bill. She is deaf and only watches one channel with closed caption. When Comcast said I need to add a phone line to get her bill down (remind you she's deaf-can't use or hear a phone call) and they said go to Best Buy because she is renting a modem for $13 a month. The modem I tried doesn't work with her Apple airport after many attempts to trade out. I was past the 15day return policy....Appreciate you doing the right thing! read more
