Came here out of necessity. Gosh going to best buy is always a painful experience. I walk in and the security guy directs me to the wrong place. After finding my way to the right place, I am given the wrong product. The store associate tries to make it right by asking a team mate to go get the right product. Unfortunately the team mate takes 15 minutes for 3 minutes or work. Barely no customers in the store. The employee to customer ratio was nearly 2:1. They can't take care of simple tasks without mistake. read more

While this is a very nice store visually, what is really lacking here is customer service. When looking for help you have to chase down an employee, and when you do it seems they are not super knowledgeable. This is a change as this used to be a great store with helpful employees. Also, the online stock is drastically different than what is actually in store. Goodluck trying to call the store and actually get an employee to pick up either. So, bottom line, I like Best Buy as a whole, this is a nice store with decent product and pricing, but if you need any sort of assistance its non existent. I promise I'm not someone who leaves bad reviews. I recognize that one employee does not reflect the entire store (which is why I'm listing this as a 3 star, when I'd like to go lower). The geek squad associate that was "helping" me only provided as much information as he thought he could in order to get me out of the door quickly. Upon prompting him with some information I found online prior to my visit he reinvented his own knowledge and continued the conversation in a way that could only be deemed as "shrugging me off." African Americans beware. I was trying to make a delivery. I rang the bell and waited. A young man name Blake approached me rudely questioning why I range the bell. He pushed me and said you are not making no delivery. I tried again. He pushed me again. This time I pushed him back. He said come on as if he wanted to fight. I told him don't put your hands on me. He said he is refusing delivery. I am an older African American man with back problems and two hip replacements. I asked for his manager who he states was sitting there watching the whole time. The manager made no efforts to intervene. As this young man has his whole life in front of him, I elected to not press charges. I will not be shopping at Best Buy in the future. All 4 TVs and appliances in my home are from Best Buy. All this commotion over a 20 pound box that I was trying to deliver. read more

Like most reviewers, I've had a few major ups and downs with Best Buy. This review is specifically for a sales consultant at the Fields Ertel store. Daryl G. recently helped a relative of mine with the purchase of a TV and stand. She is extremely difficult for a number of reasons but Daryl handled her kindly, calmly and professionally throughout the entire process. This man has the patience of a saint. Oh Best Buy. I haven't stepped foot in any location since I decided that I was fed up with the level of customer service (or lack there of) that I've had to put up with over the years. But alas, I had some time to kill so I decided to stop by. First off, this location is under construction. The back quarter of the store is completely blocked off. Honestly, from my experience with Best Buys being remodeled, the majority of the time the "improvements" are anything but..but who knows. The main reason I used to shop at Best Buy was for movies. Over the years the section has gotten smaller and smaller..and now, seeing how it's probably been at least 6 months since I've been to one, the section is seriously almost nonexistent. It's probably shrunk by half since I've been here last. I understand, the stuff doesn't sell anymore, you gotta do what you gotta do to stay afloat. It's not like they can lean on their customer service skills to help with that. Do your research, have your comparative prices handy, and be ready to show them advertised prices so that they will match them. Wednesday, someone walked into a store where I was, asking about WiFi Range Extenders and said that the people at Best Buy told him that they didn't have any. (It wasn't this particular location.) I'd been in the store a day or two prior to that and they had 3 kinds. I only talked to one employee at this location but he was friendly and willing to help me. As I was looking for some adapters in the computer area, I heard another employee giving a customer really weird advice, as if he didn't know what he was selling. He wasn't trying to move the customer away from the product, but what he said wasn't really the truth. Always watch the prices because they will do some crazy things, like sell the 3D version of the movie for less money than the 2D version, even when it includes both. We bought a $3,500 TV and paid over $700 for their protection plan. First two TVs were faulty, and the Geek Squad agent installing the 3rd broke the TV and walked out. Now the store says they can't help us. First TV was purchased just over one month ago. After the sale they don't seem to care about service. Now trying to hire a truck to return the latest TV. They will not help us get it back for return. Never shopping at Best Buy again. In the end, they refunded most of my purchase. They could not figure out how to refund $7.27 of my purchase. There are two different types of Best Buy's. There is the GIANT MEGA STORE! and there's the smaller more intimate GIANT MEGA STORE. This is the smaller giant mega store. There are thousands of sweet deals every day, and while you can probably get some things cheaper at other places, but then you hit a mega deal and work the system! So it's New Years Even and bad service is running through the streets. So where do I start? Well how about with needing an 8 TB storage unit. So I do some research and settle on the Segate. Then I do the easy peasy buy it on the web through Best buy and I got this great $10 off cert! So off I go and I decide I'll go pick it up today at the store near by. All starts out fairly well, I get my equipment and home I go only to find out it doesn't work. Darn thing doesn't even light up. We're was inspector 99 on this one???? And that's were my fun, not, begins! I call in and push the buttons for sales cause you never get the right automated choices for your exact needs. The young man I get was obviously over paid since he wanted to spend more time telling me what the store won't do than trying to reassure me that all will be made right. Then in transferring me I was disconnected 3 times! Yes 3. When I finally got through I got AJ the manager on duty and he did his best but I'm sorry the training in customer service was lacking from hello. I did not hear anyone say no issues we'll get this right except a geek squad guy, a little on the heavy side and I say that only because I did not get his name and he was the only light on this very dim situation. Again all I needed was someone to say we'll make it right and not more excuses on how I was going to be further put out. We all came to the conclusion that the best option was something on .com a day or 2 away but hey it made sense. They would credit me back my money, charge me for the new one, and give me my $10 discount that I used on the last one right, Wong! Oh no I needed to pay full price and a week or two when I got my $10 coupon back bring in my receipt and I would be given a credit then. Ok so that would be 3 trips for one product and gas at over $2 a gallon. I told AJ to give me my money back and have the GM call me within the week. We'll see. But for now I give the only star for my geek friend and say BUYER BEWARE there are so many other options that want you to enjoy your time or fix a broken moment in a way that keeps you coming back. Went in for a new iPhone battery installation. Not only did Geek Squad was not able to replace the battery (authorized Apple repair supposedly) but they couldn't reassemble my phone correctly. The screen and home button no longer worked when they were checking me out. After waiting 2.5 hours, the phone is functioning but still with the original battery. I bought both Avengers Infinity War and Endgame and both have problems. Infinity War never gets past the language selection screen and I tried it on multiple players to see if the play was the problem and it wasn't. Endgame glitches at 2 hours and 48 minutes for a bit as well. Their return policy stated that I could return it if it was in within 15 days and I bought it 7/4/20 and went to return it 7/9/20 and they said I couldn't return it if the product had been opened. It doesn't make any sense because how do I know if anything is wrong with it before I open it? I've never had this problem at Target, Meijer, Half-Price Books or anywhere else. The recipit never stated anything like that. Poor customer service and return policy by Best Buy. All I wanted to do was swap out the DVD's, I didn't even want my money back. read more

Two amps, two subs, a pair of component speakers, much hard work and planning, and 12 hours of work later I got my dream car. This review is for corporate policies, not an individual store. My husband recently bought me a Surface Pro 4. Three days later I went to the Eastgate store to buy a protective case, keyboard, and screen protector. When the clerk put the $54.99 screen protector in the bag, I asked for them to put it on. I was told that it would cost $15 to put on the screen protector! Really, Best Buy? This is a service that costs you nothing to do for your customers yet after spending over $1200, you want an additional $15 for a service most places do for free. This is a ridiculous policy, In this day and age when everyone is using online stores, they need to rethink "customer service." By the way, when I entered the computer department, I was the only customer and 5 employees were standing around talking. I had to approach them for service. read more

First, let me say I have been a pretty loyal BBY customer, until pretty recently. I have been shopping more and more on Amazon.com. It seems that the customer service in this particular store has decreased over the past several months. I was in this store on Christmas eve to pick up a online order of a Xbox One. While I was there I also purchased a BluRay and then picked up a new remote for the PS4. My issue comes into play with gaming and Geek Squad. I know it was fairly busy (no where near like it used to be on Christmas eve) but I picked up the PS4 remote, then waited to ask the guy in gaming (in his 20's) if I actually needed it or if the PS3 remote I had would work. My thought was why spend $20 bucks then have to stand in line to return it if I really don't need it, especially at the holidays. He was helping another customer and his son, he asked if I just had a quick question and I said yes...."I was just checking to see if I really need the PS4 remote or if the PS3 remote I already have would work with the PS4?" He said well most people just use the controller instead of a remote, I said "I know that, that is not what I asked you, do I need a new remote or not? He said he thought so, but this gentleman has a PS3 and PS4 you could ask him. Really? You are telling me to ask a customer???? The customer did not know either, he said he thought so. So I go up to Geek Squad to ask them if I needed the remote "I think so, but if you don't you can always return it". If you don't know, say you don't know or look it up.....I usually always try to research before I go to the store, but this was a spur of the minute purchase. Great.....Thanks for the help.....best buy! I know if was Christmas Eve and you probably didn't want to be there, but since I am the customer, you could have at least tried a little bit harder to help...... I mostly use this location for their "pick up in store" option, which is one of my favorite ways to shop anywhere right now. You order and pay online, and then they email you to say the item is ready for pickup. You walk in, head over to the customer service counter, pick up your item, and walk out. Super duper simple. Their customer service team has always been friendly and the store never seems crowded or messy and I love that. So, yesterday I had an issue with an item that I ordered online for shipment. I ordered an "open box" item that did not arrive as described and was missing items. After spending a frustrating 20 minutes on the phone with their "customer service" representative who did not know anything about Open Box or the different levels of conditions, I decided to head over to the store itself to try my luck. What a great experience! The second I started to explain that I ordered an item at their best condition level and they sent one two levels lower, two associates were horrified and immediately took action to resolve the issue. I was in and out of the store in ten minutes and completely satisfied. Once again, Best Buy's in store customer service saved the day! read more

My experience didn't start out the best...purchased new computer, new computer didn't work right out of the gate, had to go back (twice) and have support on it. By the second time it was obvious a new computer was needed. Etc. What I can say is the Adam, the store manager, listened to my rant (several times) and made things right. He didn't have to do what he did, but he did anyway and it was so appreciated. I also would like to thank him for letting this crazy technology deficient woman vent to him! We love Best Buy. Great location and all the electronic we would want. We've bought small stuff like games or movies all the way up to larger items like kitchen appliances. They are a great store with a good price match policy and servicing. We also love their rewards program and the gamers club unlocked which is a total no brainer for gaming fans. read more

Buyer beware at this store. They have incorrect price tags on their electronics. Once they bait you into buying it, you get to the register and it "rings up wrong". In my case, $100 more than the tag said. They refused to honor the price after admitting their "mistake". They brought oit a completely different model from the previous model year that they found somewhere in the back and tried to sell me at the same price. The general manager, Adam, offered me the tv the next day at a price that was $40 more than the price displayed on the tag. I was able to call corporate and get it resolved but still had to go into the store to pick up the tv. I called to tell them I was sending my step son in to pick it up. After a 15 phone call and being told that I can only do that from their app, I got someone on the phone to say that was ok. Do not bother with this place if you value your time and/or money. I've been a Best Buy fanatic for many years and this is one of the better ones I've been to. It has a nice floor plan making it easy to find your way around and quickly make your way to the product you are looking for. And despite it's warehouse style interior, somehow this particular store comes across as warm and inviting. I'm not thrilled with the lack of DVD and CD products the stores are carrying in general now, but understand that carrying inventory in this economy is difficult. That said, this store in particular (relative to other Best Buy stores) is unparalleled when it comes to customer service. Their employees are very knowledgeable about the products and services offered, are all very friendly and willing to talk to you, and clearly enjoy their work which indicates it's a great atmosphere. The most impressive thing to me is how you won't get differing answers from different employees. Some may provide more detail than others, but the general answer is the same. That is important when shopping for electronics because way too often you find that stores have individuals, not teams, and you get conflicting or varying answers about a product. There are some general practices I don't like about Best Buy in general - music's too loud, cutting out their DVD sections in the stores, prices are higher than other places, etc. But overall the customer service and attention you get, especially at this store, is worth the price. This store also has perpetual discount bins that allow you to pick up movies and games for under $5. Tip: If you want to buy a movie go to best buy between Tuesday and Friday of the movie release date to DVD. They always give a discount during this period which is often the best price you'll find. read more

I keep going to shop at best buy because I have their credit card and get rewards points for all my purchases otherwise I would shop elsewhere. It's very hard to find someone to help you most of the time since they save on cost and keep limited number of sales associates.
