The man helping us tried to help but his manager refused to let him honor the price and he said they can't manually override prices which is wrong. I purchase at Best Buy only as a last option. I truly enjoyed going there in the early 2000's but was burned a few times on their warranties as they never lived up to what the sales person said. Having said that I don't want them to fail and try them every now and again. Each time I go I remember why I don't shop there. Yesterday we purchased a 70 inch TV as we wanted it immediately. Purchased it on line and used the curbside pickup. I went inside, showed my document and ID. They asked me to park at the curb and they would load the tv. I followed the instructions and no one ever brought out the tv. After about 20 minutes I I went inside and a young lady was very helpful but she had to practically beg someone to get my tv and load it. Not a very ambitious group would be a compliment. Our service set up was excellent when we had our fridge delivered. We did provide a good feedback on the professionals who came out to install the fridge. On the other hand, we noticed some creaky noises when opening and closing the fridge door shortly after purchasing the fridge. We did not purchase any additional warranties or insurances and with that said Best Buy refused to come out free of charge to check why the door was creaking. They did say it would be an additional charge. With that being said, this would give me major hesitation to purchase additional products from Best Buy after making three large purchases within the month and not receiving a free check within a month of buying the products. I think Best Buy should look into these practices & be a bit more fair to their consumers! read more

After having a not good experience at another Best Buy my husband and I had came to this one it wasn't a bad experience we had got help the only thing that bothered me was the alarm in the Apple section it had went off twice which the worker had turned it off those 2 times and keep in mind my husband and I were in between the iPads and Apple Watches and the alarm was by the iMacs which were the other table next to the iPads and when I had asked about the Alarm if there's a sensor the worker had told me that yes there is or if someone triggers the wire it will set off but it did bother me because we weren't even remotely close to the iMacs or even near the wires we even had moved to the Apple Watches when it had went off for the second time so I don't know if that's what it does or what but yeah read more

Daphne... has no managerial skills whatsoever. She refused to consider any kind of resolution regarding a defective Roblox gift card purchased in her store. Best Buy and Roblox just blame each other & past the buck. So unfortunately my kid doesn't get to use the gift card and Best Buy gets to profit from my purchase. We pay for the best insurance package and have for about 10 years. We figured all of our computers were covered. I put in my appointment notes exactly what we were looking for and what we needed done. I came in for my appointment. They hadn't read the notes. I set the computer down. They said they'd have to send it off. They said we weren't covered. They said we'd have to pay a lot of money. This was Mohammad speaking. Telling me it would have to send it off and we have to pay full price. Next he looked up my husband's account and said we didn't buy the computer there. He actually did buy the computer there. Finally, we got back to what I was there for which they would've known how they just simply read the notes. All I needed was for them to take the information off of the broken computer and back it up and look for a reasonably priced replacement for the broken computer. They asked me if I have a hard drive. Appearances can be deceiving. Best Buy looks great with all its displays and service clerks everywhere, however Best Buy didn't have much to offer in the affordable price range of the product I wanted. I went to Best Buy, my gold standard for technology and specialty items. I was in search of a microphone to fit with headphones that I purchased for my son. I asked for help and the guy upfront introduced me to another service clerk. Best Buy did not have any microphones that were compatible with the headphones. They had only had USB stand alone microphone for $19.95 (which I ended up buying). The other microphones were all in the range of $150+. This was also the case for the headphones/mic combinations available. I was disappointed that I could not find what I wanted. I bought the $20 option, but I think I will shop online. read more

Thank the man at the front-door kiosk. I feel poorly that I didn't ask his name; however, I'm Yelping to praise him for his honest help. With less than adequate WiFi at our snowbirding RV park, we are being forced to seek outside service for WiFi and/or TV reception. I spoke with "Best Buy Central" ( at least that's what I was connected to on the phone), and the lady told me to go to the closest store to purchase a simple mobile hotspot for $49.99. She said that would do the trick. Well... the helpful man at the store told me not to waste my dinero on the product unless I had a pocketful of change to spare. He said $49.99 was just the beginning. Then I'd have to pay for the WiFi connection service. It would be better to use my own phone service and its hot spot capability, if any. And sure enough--my carrier does allow me to join hot spots! But get this: it would utilize the data on my plan! So watching a 2-hour TV show via my Internet Firestick using my data from a hotspot might cost me a mere $100 or more!. It's a losing battle no matter which way I go. I still do appreciate the Best Buy guy and his effort nonetheless. read more

Your salespeople are top notch. Your service department and anyone having to do with service do not know up from down. One time I was trying to contact someone on the phone with someone and told I would be on hold for 7 minutes. 35 minutes later I gave up. I called back and was told I would be on hold for 13 minutes. I waited them out for 45 minutes and the robo-call came back on that if I wanted to wait for 15 minutes I would get a return call. I opted for it. 2 hours and 20 minutes later still nothing. WTF???????? I just want to get my new TV that was installed incorrectly working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The WORST. I took my computer to Geek Squad on a Monday after an update had lost all my info. I stressed to them that what was on my desktop was most important. They were able to recover my desktop items while I was there and showed them to me. They told me to leave my computer overnight so they could finish the back up and restore. Well, overnight turned into them having my computer for 4 days and they PERMANENTLY DELETED all my desktop. TWO years of work that I can never get back along with photos. I barely received an apology and the manager said he was going to look into it and never got back to me. Major FAIL by Best Buy AND the Geek Squad. No apology. CRAP customer service. **APPLE USERS BEWARE** I scheduled a service for my iPhone's battery through the Apple Support app. The app generates a list of "Same-day service" authorized providers and I selected this Best Buy location. Upon arriving for my scheduled appointment, I was told by the Geek Squad rep that this location does not have a staff member onsite who can service my battery. The scheduled time was over four hours before the store's closure so I asked for a manager. When the manager arrived, they shared that I should have gone through Best Buy website's because their website has the correct times while the Apple Support app does not, and they have no control over the times published in the Apple Support app. (It also sounded like this isn't the first time that this conflict has occurred.) The best they could do was take in the iPhone that evening and service it the following day. This was not feasible for my schedule so feeling frustrated and misled, I made a comment about needing to do better with this process/relationship with Apple because this is not customer friendly or reflective of the advertised services. The Geek Squad rep made an audible noise similar to a scoff or mocking laugh, as if to suggest that my expectation of the service I selected through the Apple Support app was too much to ask for and not realistic. The manager stood there and showed no customer empathy. Look, I understand that sometimes these partner services/joint apps don't always work. But to state that there's nothing that can be done about the advertised services (e.g., eliminate that timeslot from selectable slots), or for the manager to show some empathy and say something like, "You're right, this could be improved to avoid misleading further customers, so I will take your feedback and escalate up the chain" or "I cannot guarantee an opening, but let me see if there are other nearby stores with a team member available to service your battery today," is a complete disregard of Best Buy's "Customer focus" value. To remedy my situation, I went over to the Apple store at Arrowhead Towne Center and even though I had no expectations of receiving same-day service, they worked me in upon hearing about my situation and despite their busy operations. That's customer service. So to all other Apple users, if you need your Apple device serviced, avoid wasting your time at this location, and possibly interacting with scoffing, customer unfriendly employees, and just got to the Apple store at Arrowhead Towne Center. I will no longer support this location and I plan to make sure Apple is aware of how this location threw them under the bus related to the time discrepancies in the Apple Support app. read more

Bought new Samsung Dishwasher, Microwave, Range, and Refrigerator at Best Buy. After about 14 months the refrigerator freezer quit working. I contacted Best Buy and was told warranty was one year. I asked what my options were to get repair and was told service call to provide estimate would be $186, or close to that, and then I could make decision on repair. I told them I wanted to verify some things first. I went to Home Depot, where I almost made the purchase, and refrigerator warranty was two years. I explained Best Buy claimed one year and was shown Samsung website with 2 year warranty for all Bespoke models, which mine was. Went to Best Buy store so I could talk with manager, explained my problem and showed him 24 month warranty on Samsung site. Was told Best Buy only offers 12 months, anything else is between Samsung and me, seriously. 4 weeks later Samsung decided it could not be repaired and wanted to send me Best Buy details for closest store to get replacement. I requested a check so I could purchase elsewhere, Costco was superb and they have customer satisfaction guarantee and care about their business. read more

This place sucks for Apple Service. Geek Squad employees have attitude about repairing older Apple devices. They try to pressure you into not repairing it and just upgrading. They act like you're putting them out. Had an iPad Air my kids love that needed the battery replaced. Scheduled through Apple online for an appointment to get battery replaced through Geek Squad. Brought in iPad and guy at desk told me that the iPad was vintage and just stopped being supported the month before for firmware updates. I told him I didn't care about future support, just wanted to replace battery so my kids can play their game until the game no longer works. They guy told me they don't fix the iPad Air but just send it in and Apple send back a refurbished one or offers $50 of new one. I took my iPad and went to uBreakiFix. They were happy to help said they needed to get the battery in stock and would fix it, a few days later got the battery replaced and my kids are really happy. Had an iPhone 8 that needed battery service, figured I'd try Geek Squad again, girl at counter was the same acted like I was stupid to try snd replace the battery because it will be unsupported in 1 to 1 1/2 years. I told her that was fine. Then she's like "let me see if we even have the part", "we don't have the part. We'd have to order it". I said ok, then she told me it might be a week or so till the get the part in, kept stressing that the phone was going to lose support in the next year and suggested that I take the phone to the Apple Store. So two experiences with staff acting like I was putting them out and them just telling me to get a new device. read more
