Today was one of the most important holidays in the country: National Cheeseburger Day. (Well, it's important to me.) So the Hunny and I celebrated at a place I haven't written a review for, but we've eaten there in the past: Best Burgers. Now, are they really the best? I don't think they're as good as Betty Burger in Santa Cruz (few places are *that* good). And their menu is pretty small. But the burger has a strong meaty taste to it, 1/3 pound per patty, and rumor on Yelp is that they make their own without freezing it. They're better than fast food. To be upfront, Best Burger is not trying to woo the foodie crowd. You know, the ones that want brie and avocado on their burger, insist on grass-feed beef (meatless would be better), and use a kind of bread that works well in the Atkins Diet. This is a dive no different from other dives, a bare-bones place to eat your cheeseburger for here or to go. Decor is worse than Hazel's in Antioch, but the food is what counts, and their food beats Hazel's easily. The Hunny's bacon cheeseburger was too big for her to finish ("I wanted to keep eating, but I was 'bwuuuuh'"). I finished my double cheeseburger and onion rings. We both loved our lunch. To say the least, they were by far some of the BEST we've had. We both ordered the Best Burger, I simply added mushrooms to mine, and I would do it again. Although I don't feel that they have the "best burger" in town, they have a decent burger and provide excellent customer service. Oddly enough, I rarely come here for their burgers nowadays; I will usually come here for their corn dogs! Their corndogs are larger in size than other places that sell them in the area and they are always nice and crispy and cooked fresh to order. As far as their burgers go, they have quite a selection of different offerings ranging from bacon cheddar to Swiss and mushroom. Their burgers are huge and filling, but really just average and nothing to rave about. I will note that they use fresh ingredients and everything that I've ordered here is always made fast and cooked to order. The kitchen is open and I love being able to watch them cook my food. This place is always immaculately clean when I come in. In all the years that I've come here, I have never had to wait in line and there are always tables available for dining. Parking is a breeze and I've almost always been able to snag a spot right in front! They have a TV that hangs in the corner of the store and they often play whatever local sports games are on. I always found it funny when they started giving a number and buzzing when the food was ready because I have never witnessed there being more than 2 or 3 tables of people inside at one time. I've watched employees here come and go and even saw the ownership switch hands, but that never affected the great customer service that I have always received. Overall, Best Burger is a decent burger spot to try out if you are in the Concord area. Unfortunately, they are closed on Sundays, but open every other day until about 8:30 or 9. If you're a fan of corndogs, this is definitely the place to get them! read more

I'll rate it 5 stars based on my kid's liking, he loves the burgers here. They are fresh and made on the grill so it's got a better taste than just Mc'Ds or any other fast food restaurant. Downside would be they aren't open on Sunday's and they don't put enough pastrami in the Best Burger. read more

Talk about amazing service!!!! So the wife and kiddo wanted food and ice not been here in a while so we came here to eat. Well I can say is that the Korean guy that was in the cash register was amazing he had a full conversation about how he lived in riverside and he went back to Korea and came back to norcal and misses riverside. It is amazing eating and just sharing conversations with a complete stranger the food was amazing. It taste like home back in SoCal Orange County cozy corner burgers. The fries here are crispy and the burgers wow leaves you so full but wanting more and more fries. Come on by you guys and try this restaurant out. This will be our little reminder at the cozy corner. I've lived in Concord for only three years and I've driven past this place many times. I mistakenly judged this place solely by its name: "Best" Burger which is ironic because I like "Super" Burger. I probably also avoided this place because it's off of Monument, its lack of marketing, and that it doesn't look like a normal chain (not sure if it is one). I really like charbroiled burgers and for $8-9, you get a decent sized patty in a delicious sesame bun. The burger is simple: lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, pickles, and ketchup. No special sauce those other places market. If you like the burgers at a 4th of July family bbq, you'll like these. The patties are juicy (not frozen) and everything tastes fresh. While I haven't ordered it myself, I see many patrons also ordering their hot dogs. I've been tempted many times but haven't pulled the trigger yet... I really like their burgers. The french fries aren't my type: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think Super Duper fries are better, but again, I come for the charbroiled burger. read more
