    Bertie's Rum Punch9

I want to preface this review by saying I went on opening day. There were several kinks they will surely work out by the time I'm ready to go back again. Because the food was out of this world and the service is spectacular, they'll work things out in no time. Our server, Bri, was outstanding. That's one thing they got right the first time. There was plenty of staff on hand to meet the needs of each guest. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, sleek, and sexy. I loved the booth style because each table felt private. It felt island, modern. The food was AMAZING. I had the signature rum punch and it was strong and fresh. It definitely wasn't a premix. For the main course, I had (what I think was) Brown Stew Snapper. It looked and tasted like Curry Snapper, but it was absolutely fantastic. When I asked the food runner what it was, she simply said it was the Snapper. (Geez). I won't go into detail about all the wrongs of the night as to not taint anyone's experience after opening night, because I highly recommend you give it a try. I will 100% come back and update this review after my next experience because I will go for a round 2.

Visited this location last night with friends for a girls night out. We made reservations and were immediately seated at the table upon our arrival. Ordered drinks and heard those dreaded words "Sorry we're out", ...three requests later I had my beverage, then we ordered food. Some items on the menu were out as well. I ended up with the salmon which was overcooked. On a positive note the owner came by the table and rectified some of our issues.

Wanted to try a different vibe for Sunday Brunch so I made my way to Bertie's Brandon. Jamaican cuisine in case you were wondering. Decor is really cute inside. Great for groups. There was a DJ and the music didn't feel overwhelming, you could have conversations on your table without yelling. Gosh, our server was phenomenal! I wish I can recall her name. We got a free round of breakfast shots from her! With regard to the food, the Ackee and breadfruit is a must. The snapper serving is actually large! The oxtail is tender but on the sweeter side for brown stew. I didn't try the jerk chicken or the curry goat but the restaurant is Worth a try!

Came here for my birthday and everything was amazing. The staff was fantastic, friendly and knowledgable. The restaurant was beautiful but the food?!! Omg! I ordered the curry goat and it was by far some of the best curry I've ever had. Mac and cheese was spectacular and the plantains were delicious too.

I'm a fan! This restaurant is brand new and I couldn't wait to try it. I came here on a Sunday with my boyfriend for dinner. The venue itself is decorated beautifully, with the decorations and background music being dedicated to the owner's roots, Jamaica. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were so nice and provided great suggestions. I had the Rasta Pasta with Chicken and my boyfriend had the Red Snapper made Escovitch style with rice & peas. ALL of it was amazing. My pasta was very creamy, and the chicken and pasta were seasoned perfectly (I even asked for a little extra spice and they delivered!) My boyfriend loved his fish, as well as the carrots and cabbage, and said that was perfectly seasoned as well. Our drinks were also great (Kingston Mule & Strawberry Margarita). The only issue he had was that the rice was a little dry. My only note is that the wait time was not that great. The reservation was made for 4:15, and we weren't sat until about 4:45/4:50 and the restaurant was only about 1/4 full. The waitstaff and owner were so nice, and you can definitely tell that the restaurant and its concept are more than just a trendy thing to the owner. If you are thinking about trying this place out, I most definitely recommend that you do!!!

What an interesting concept! I found this place on Yelp while I was visiting Tampa for a couple…read moredays. My sister and I were looking for a quick brunch spot near our Airbnb and Campfired wasn't too far. The setup & decor looked really cool - like glamping indoors - so we decided to check it out. Upon arrival, you pull up to what looks like a corporate office building. Pretty random, but we love an adventure. We were giggling as we walked through the halls, passing by the offices of city officials and judges, thinking "how is there a brunch spot in here?" There was clear signage to guide you to the right place, and sure enough, we stumbled upon the little planty oasis that is Campfired. This is the definition of a hidden gem. The staff greeted us right away and allowed us to choose any table we wanted to sit at. It was a weekday morning so it wasn't too busy. Our server was very friendly and took our coffee order. We got 2 iced cafe con leches which were very tasty. For food, we just wanted to share a couple items so we got their classic deviled eggs topped with crispy salami, the butter candle served with two croissants for dipping, and a side of crispy hash browns. I will say that the service was kind of slow, but I only saw one server the whole time were were there, so she was doing her best. Once the food arrived, everything we had was very tasty. We weren't super hungry, so it was just the right amount of food. Other reviews have mentioned that they get pretty busy on the weekends, so I'd suggest making a reservation if you plan to go then.

The atmosphere alone makes you want to slow down, relax, and soak it all in. Add in the delicious food, beautifully plated dishes, friendly customer service, and the warm, welcoming ambiance, and you've got an experience not just breakfast. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The French toast was incredible, the deviled eggs were such a unique starter, and the Campfired Breakfast definitely hit the spot. Even the café con leche was rich and delicious. Whether you're planning a girls' brunch, celebrating a birthday, going on a date, or just want somewhere beautiful to enjoy breakfast, I highly recommend adding The Florista at Campfire to your Tampa bucket list. This is NOT the restaurant El Patron anymore!!! The new name is 200 Copas Bar and Grill. Let me…read morestart with this is NOT a bar and grill!! This is a nightclub that happens to serve food. We did not know that walking in. They all looked at us like what are you doing here? My husband even said is this a restaurant? So we asked for a menu - which is a QR code. Yes- they have food. We decided to sit at the bar and at least have a drink. It was early so no a lot of people. Everyone seemed confused as to how things worked. Most employees spoke Spanish and we do not. A bartender did speak English. He asked what we wanted and took our drink order. He was nice. We did end up getting food. Chips and salsa=$10! Other items were priced fairly. We asked for water and he claimed they only had bottles of still water=$4.50. But we saw someone else get a glass with ice/water at another table. Also be warned there is a "service fee" of 15% (for what I have no idea) and if you use a credit card 3% card fee. We searched on line to see what people said about this place and some other reviews on Google said they charge $10 to get in although we were not charged anything to come in. In the end the food was pretty good. Bottom line- this is a nightclub with an identity problem as they are trying to serve food as well and it just does not have a restaurant or bar&grill feel to it. We won't be back as not our scene, but also wish them well with the clients they really are trying to attract.

Have you ever accidentally shown up at the wrong time (too early) for a party? That's what it felt…read morelike, when we stopped by for lunch on a Friday. It was open for business, but there was only one other group of two in there with us-and only one server-who was also the bartender. It was a little odd. I'm sure this place is popping at night. Our server (who was chatty at the end-businesslike before) told us there's karaoke on Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays. I'll definitely bring the friends back for that. The drink menu is large-it would be a fun night spot. I'm just not sure I'd come back for a weekday lunch. That's not the food's fault, though. I had chicken enchiladas verde (very nice) with some of the best Mexican rice I've ever had. The margarita was also good. You can tell this restaurant has been around awhile-there are echoes of genres past, with different decor still lingering (the lighting, for example). But I love the murals outside, the bar surrounds, the signage by the stage area and the other Mexican touches. I also really like the vintage windows-it's a nice nod to the past. And it's spotless in here-so clean-with lots of tables. I also thought the prices were fair. I hope they thrive!
