We lived in Valrico for many years moved away and went to Brandon for a visit recently decided to eat at the Latin Grill it has always been a great place...I am not sure if it has sold recently or what the food was horrible and prices were a lot higher than before you can almost expect it if the food is good. In town for work and looking for food, we stumbled on this spot. It's got more of a club vibe than a restaurant feel, but the food was so good! We ordered the picanha and chicharrones--both delicious--and the lychee margarita was amazing. Our server was super attentive and assisted with accommodating some requests with no issues. Definitely more of a special-occasion place (a little pricey, but worth it). If you're with a big group, definitely book a reservation. Upon first arriving the establishment gives the vibes of La Pura Vida...however that is NOT the case! The DJ is amazing and keeps the vibe up (& it's LOUD) but if I'm being honest, if it had not been go him I would have left soon after my food was served. Feel like it's probably underrated in the Bloomingdale area, but so good! Went on a Sunday for lunch and I called them seeing if we would need reservations, but not that busy so you could just walk in with your party right away. To start they give you bread with this green sauce that was so good. It was like vinegar, cilantro, garlic, and a little bit of spice kicked in together and it actually paired really well with the Cuban bread. We didn't get any cocktails, but some of the tables near us did and they look so good. I mean Hispanic places are known to have really good drinks. I feel especially with tequila so I would definitely try one next time. Bistec churrasco - 10/10. Tender, thin cuts of steak cooked perfectly medium like asked. The chimichurri sauce and the onions just topped it off. And I love that. It comes with two sides of your choice. Tilapia- 8/10. Good but I felt like the actual tilapia itself had little flavor unless you put the onions/sauce on top and mix it with your sides. Bistec milanesa- 7/10. basically a steak Parmesan. It was good but it tasted like an Italian dish paired with Latin sides, Yes it's pricey but the serving is big! Easily 1.5-2 person meals per plate. Yellow rice- plenty quantity but kind of bland on its own. Black beans- good. Plantains- good but only 3 pieces for a side item was kind of small. Return? Yes, definitely trying the Lomo saltado with other sides and a cocktail for sure next time. Recommend? Yes read more

I just had lunch at this Latin Grill (not Tampa) and just had to tell you about the most amazing soup that I tried for the first time. It is their Asapado de Camarones. It is huge but has enough shrimp and everything else to have it a second time for leftovers. I took home the Cuban sandwich for my husband but will come back again just for the soup! My server Valeria was super nice and helpful with explanation of ingredients etc. I appreciate it being a causal local restaurant and will be back again soon. read more

If you are wanting to take a brunch to a whole new level then you must come here! Reservations are needed. This place is such a good vibe where you can have brunch then be entertained by smal segments of show girls, singers, etc that come out. They have a dance floor in the middle where you can later dance. Of course me and my friends did so! They also have a dj that plays music. Latin music and a variety of music. The food is a 50/50. First time I came the French toast wasn't that great. The 2nd time I ordered Cazuela De Houevas Y Chorizo with unlimited mimosas. It was perfect. Had a nice spice and flavor to it. This place was so packed there was no parking. Food was amazing. I had Chucharron appetizer with potatoes. I has left over for dinner and lunch the next day. Coconut Mojito was a 10 out of 10 delicious and packed with flavors. Server was very good, checked on us making everything was good, made recommendations that was very tasteful. Ambiance was nice. Been there once and was super happy about everything. Staff was very nice and the food was absolutely delicious. I got to try the pollo milanesa with white rice and fries, the churrasco with white rice, the onions that come with it and red beans, the grilled picanha that was perfection with rice, beans, salad and avocado and also the guava cheesecake. Today I ordered through a delivery app and the food came just as the first time there. Delicious, fresh, good portion size and hot. Amazing!! read more

We have been here more than any other restaurant in our 10 months of living in Brandon. If you come for breakfast, lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed. The service is great, everyone is always friendly and they are pretty quick for drink refills and taking empty plates off the table. They have a great selection of breakfast items which is our favorite time to go. It is always consistent, food is served very hot and fresh, and extremely well priced. My family from out of town was visiting and we decided to order catering from Latin Grill. We got half a pan each: Roast pork, Paella, Baked chicken, black beans, white rice, and Yuca. They gave complimentary bread enough for 10 people. We called the day before, and the food was ready to be picked up on time, as I requested! Fresh and delicious...my family loved everything. I really enjoyed myself! Apparently it turns into a club some nights or maybe the club turns into a restaurant-- idk, but it was a decent time. We came for a birthday with a rather large party and our waitress was great. For my friends birthday, they bring out the sparklers and flag of your country, it was cute. Wow i haven't been to this location in a long time and now i need to visit more often. The food here at Latin Grill is really great. The portions are huge and the Cuban flavors are what make it. The green sauce is always a nice touch and has enough kick to enhance your dish and the complementary bread. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. She spoke English and Spanish. In the later part of the evening on Saturday, they do have a live band and that's when the party starts. If you find yourself in the area, stop by for some good food for sure. read more

I met my girlfriends here for lunch today and we had a wonderful meal. Our server Lucrecia was fabulous and took such good care of us. The food is always good and we all tried something a bit different. I ordered the chicken soup and avocado salad which was super fresh and I ordered shrimp creole for take out because my husband loves it. One friend ordered a tostada salad bowl with chicken and it was a large portion. My other friend ordered the same as I did but added an enchilada de Camarones for take out for her husband who loves it as well. We can get a bit noisy at times so sat at the back corner and since the restaurant is a good size we did not seem to bother anyone. We will be back again soon! read more

Love it! Latin Grill in Brandon has become our go to restaurant in town! We go often by ourselves, (my hubby and I) and also with family and friends. Love the location, special service and great food! The Cuban dishes are truly authentic, delicious and fresh!!! If we go by ourselves, we usually sit at the bar where we order the best Margaritas around, 2 for 1 and freshly mixed, (not from a bottled mix). We enjoy the warm bread with garlic sauce on the side provided as a starter. Great! The dishes we order depend on how hungry we are, usually we split the Sampler platter from their appetizer's choices. This dish is plentiful, delicious and great when you are undecided or want to try a few delicacies in one sitting! Oh MY!! Among other dishes tried at different times, are Pollo Asado, (roasted chicken); Camarones al Ajillo, (shrimp in garlic), Churrasco, (skirt steak), Ropa Vieja, (shredded skirt), Boliche, (eye round) and Lomo Salteado. These are always accompanied by two sides which vary from beans to french fries. I warn you the portions are huge; be prepare to share or bringing extra food home for a second meal! Service is what makes this restaurant so special, all the staff is friendly, efficient and work super well together!! This place is definitely delicious! The staff is friendly and the service is attentive. We were given a basket of warm bread with green sauce. It was a perfect starter! We ordered chicken dishes, beef dishes and sandwiches... they were all tender, tasty and delicious! We thought the grilled chicken sandwich was huge! The rice was abundant; the yellow rice was flavorful but didn't have any peas, beans or chorizo. The white rice was plain... The sweet plantains were delicious, I wish there were more with the order... We were fulll and didn't think about dessert, but they do ask if you want some, so if you have a sweet tooth, save room for that. read more

Good food, dinner is a little pricey. However, this place has the best pancakes in town. I find myself craving them any time I want pancakes. Also I highly recommend the Cuban breakfast sandwich. It is amazing and fairly priced. And don't forget the empanadas...yummy. read more

Great atmosphere and food to boot! We had a decent sized party (13) although we didn't get many drink refills we did receive plenty of bread refills. The restaurant was pretty packed but I don't feel like we waited very long considering how busy they were. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed our food. My pork chunks were very flavorful and tender. Some of the best I've ever had! My wife enjoyed her breaded steak very much as well. I had to take a picture of my fathers picanha platter cause it was presented very well. He was ranting and raving about how good it was.
