Breakfast burrito
Neikan M.

One of the best breakfast spots in Buffalo. Solid options throughout the menu; I had the breakfast burrito on this visit and it was very tasty. A little small but full of flavor. I also love how crispy the potatoes were. Service was excellent. The waitress probably poured me 10 cups of coffee, which I appreciated!

THE ROOSTER

Came here for a quick breakfast. I had The Rooster and it was delicious! My server was very friendly and welcoming. Very clean and well maintained cozy diner.

Veggie omlet with feta

On a healthy journey so I switched it up today. Veggie omlet, with feta, no mushroom. 10 out of 10! Chef My hubby got the eggs benedict and it never disappoints! The hollandaise was steamy and flavorful but not too heavy. Friendly Service, kept the coffee flowing and hot. Best breakfast place in Buffalo.

Small diner, big portions! You'll leave happy and satisfied. Here's what we ordered: - 2 eggs, home fries and toast with bacon - The rooster: 3 egg omelet filled with a serving of corned beef hash and cheddar served on rye toast, topped with hollandaise and a splash of sriracha served with home fries Everything is straight forward and delicious. I recommend coming for a quick bite if you're around. The service was fast and food is made with love.

Believe the reviews. This place is incredible. I was visiting my daughter when we were trying to decide where to go to breakfast. I wanted to try something new this time around. She picked Bertha's. I guess we came at the right time, midweek...mid-morning, no wait. Yes, it is small. Yes, it has a cool vibe. Yes, the food was amazing. I ordered a pepperoni & cheese over eggs breakfast and it was outstanding. My daughter ordered biscuits & gravy and I want to tell you, that was some of the best gravy on a biscuit I've ever had. So delicious. My cup of coffee was never empty, despite business picking up and the one server in constant motion. Don't skip Bertha's. This is a gem. I can't wait to revisit on an upcoming visit.

A fun little diner on Hertel! The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Our portions were also huge! The chocolate chip pancakes were thick and fluffy and the home fries were some of the crispiest I've ever had. If you're looking for a classic diner experience in Buffalo, check out Bertha's!

Classic diner in the middle of the heart of restaurant row of Hertel Ave. The food is consistently tasty, portion size is more than generous, and staff is always so kind and welcoming. Whether you're looking for brunch with your family, or a destination with friends, or your significant other, its worth the trip! Couple quick points: Best pancakes in Buffalo (my kids love 'em, I steal bites) The Rooster is a perfect flavor combination, if you like some spice. Cash only, so be ready. Sunday mornings, there is a wait for a table by 9am, at the latest. Plan accordingly!

Pancakes at Bertha's

Food at Bertha's is always amazing! It actually is the highlight to my weekend. I have it scheduled to go every other weekend because if I don't get my fixings enough my week is terrible! Beeyah is amazing, so quick and friendly. Love catching up with her every time I'm in there. Every affordable and gives old school diner vibes and super clean.

What an adorable hidden gem! Believe the reviews everyone, this place is wonderful. Very friendly staff, a quaint atmosphere (absolutely love the painting of their bar on the wall, makes me think they're very proud of the work they do), and the FOOD. I just got a breakfast platter with pancakes, eggs and bacon, but the pancakes were delicious (barely needed to put syrup on 'em) and the bacon and eggs were cooked beautifully (the amount of times I've had overcooked over-easy eggs not here though!). I will absolutely be coming back here!

Came in for breakfast with a table for 7. There is only one table in the joint big enough for more than 4 - fyi. Once we were seated, both waitresses attended to us in a friendly manner. We ordered and waited a fair amount of time, but it was worth it. The food was amazing. The breakfast burrito was perfect, the pancakes fluffy, the home fries seasoned with love and the eggs - omg the eggs were so whipped and fluffy they melted in your mouth. The over all experience was 5 stars all around. Even the long trek to the bathroom was enjoyable LOL *** great iced tea!

Cute little diner! I got the breakfast garbage plate and it was good! I added my own salt and pepper to my taste. The waitress was amazing. Small and quaint place.

Revisiting after a long while for an early breakfast. Got there just before the wait and it was hopping! I love the coffee here and the refills were plentiful. Maybe because the wait seemed long. Totally worth it though. My only disappointment is the chicken and waffles now is made with chicken strips. I'm a fan of the bone in they use to serve so, I went with the Rooster omelet with rye bread and hashbrowns instead and loved it. Their cb hash is dynamite! I wasn't sure I'd dig the hollandaise sauce but that was perfect on this omelet. Great breakfast and an awesome server too!

Food was ready about five minutes after my scheduled time, which for as busy as they were, I thought that was great timing. Ordered the big sampler, with pulled chicken, pulled pork, brisket and ribs! Platter is a nice size with large portions, four of us ate on it. The pulled chicken for me was a stand out, so good! 10 piece chicken wings, cheeseburger with fries, pizza logs and crab cake platter. For our sides we tried the mac and cheese, pasta salad, baked beans, mash potatoes and sweet potatoe fries. Everything was good and would get again, except the crab cakes. These were just not good, very fishy, and burnt. The pizza logs were huge! The Mac and cheese had no seasoning, but was cheesy and after little salt and pepper wasn't to bad. Definitely on my top three favorite BBQ spots! I forgot pictures, but enjoy the video!

Our hot coffee came out very quickly, and our food plates were out a few minutes later. The challenge this week is to find KETO breakfast items and I was not disappointed. I ordered the 3 Little Pigs omelette. It comes with toast and hash brown potatoes which I packed up to go for my husband. My omelette was full of bacon, breakfast sausage and ham bits. Topped with a layer of cheddar cheese, this fit the KETO requirement on this day. My husband chose the Chicken Club omelet with hash brown and rye toast. He thoroughly enjoyed his toast with their signature Peach Jam, a real treat. We always feel a little cramped at the Poked Yolk, as the tables are set close together. All in all, a pleasant experience! Extensive gluten free and keto menu items are available
