I dealt with the owner, who I think is named Fernando on two jobs. The first was to take out an old diseased tree and plant an avocado instead. And after less than 3 month on that job, the avocado tree died. When I called him, he said he can not guaranteed anything. The second job was removal of a palm tree and instead making a planter. Again all the new shrubs and planting died a week after. If you hire this guy, you will not get what you hired him for, poor quality plants, mediocre and unprofessional services. Fernando replied to my quote request immediately on New Years Eve. I sent him pictures of the 3 palm trees to trim. He quoted $180 and said he was available the same day from 10am-12pm. He later texted that they were running late and would arrive around 2pm. No problem because I would be home all day. About 2:15pm I hear a chain saw running in my front yard. When I came out of the garage Fernando's crew were already at work trimming the WRONG PALM TREE (I have 5). I would think that before beginning work at someone's home that the crew would have rang my doorbell to tell me they were here and ask which of my 5 tree's I want trimmed. Right? I told the crew to go ahead and finish trimming the WRONG tree and showed the the 3 that had been brushing against my house to trim. They quickly trimmed the 3. Then I asked if they could prune my pomegranate. After they cleaned up most of the jobsite, I looked at the 1 remaining palm tree and decided to go ahead and trim it since the 4 others had just a couple fronds and this one had dozens. The crew trimmed the last tree and charged me an additional $100. I thought this was fair since the last time I paid $300 for all 5 without pruning the pomegranate. All-in-all, I'm very satisfied with the fast response, the work and clean-up was very good. But they loose a star for not alerting me to their arrival and trimming the wrong tree to start. read more

Pro: Fairly easy to get an appt and quote for service and my palms look nice after trimming. Cons: The guys trimming my trees had total disregard for my property. They dropped several heavy branches on top of my shed and ruined the roof. They only noticed/stopped when I asked them to be more careful. Granted it's an old shed and I don't plan on keeping but the fact that they didn't care until I said something is just lousy. I did let the owner know and he apologized and asked what he could do. I was looking for someone to trim my Chinese elm tree, it had been topped before we moved in and it's grown out of control in just three years. They arrived fairly late in the day (5pm) I just wanted it thinned out but with all the brush he had to navigate through just to get to the branches plus trying to get them to fall through all the over growth to the ground, and with it getting dark fairly quick, I told him to go ahead and just cut off the ones he'd have to really reach for. I didn't realize that would mean he'd just cut off everything but whatever, it'll grow back I suppose. They finished up in about just over an hour, including full cleanup of everything. This tree service is fantastic and we highly recommended them. We had a 40 foot eucalyptus tree that was threatening to fall over. We were given the lowest price and they were able to cut it down the same day. In about 5 1/2 hours they cut down the entire tree, ground down the stump all the way to the roots, and hauled everything away including piles of tree branches my husband had previously trimmed.
