However this year we had strong winds again, and they almost blew my tree over again. I contacted Alfonso and asked if they could correct the repair. Affordable tree cutting prices and GREAT service. Our family had a mid size tree in the back yard, called couple of tree cutting company and Alfonso's company was the fastest to give us the quote and they were the lowest. Eduardo is such a great person! He knows a lot about trees! I learned a lot from him. I contacted him and also several other tree services. It was quickly very clear that he knew much more about trees and was much more detail oriented than every other service I contacted. He knew things that the other services never brought up, and suggested a plan on how to save our palm trees. He came to our house for free and instantly pointed several things, including that he thinks our trees have an infection. He gave us instructions and said to monitor for 6 months before proceeding with any paid work for him. Eduardo removed some trees for me last year and the service was very good. His prices were all so good. This year I wanted one Pepper Tree trimmed and laced. I contacted Eduardo several times. No one ever got back to me. Finally Eduardo got back to me and said he would give his father my information. His father called me and said how about next week? I said how much will it cost can I send you some pictures and he said yes send me some pictures and I will let you know. I sent him the pictures and I never heard back again. My husband scheduled an appointment for a quote. Let me tell you something.....they were on time! Yes! No waiting around. Eduardo was very knowledgeable about trees. Gave us a reasonable quote and we scheduled a tree trimming service for a few days later. Next, the day of the tree trimming. Staff was also on time, nice and did an excellent job. Not only did they not leave a mess, they were very careful not to destroy any of the plants in my garden that were directly below the branches that needed to be cut. Wow. Talk about expensive. If you're looking for a good deal, keep looking! Eduardo came out to give me a quote to trim my 21 ficus trees. They are planted in two different parts of the backyard for privacy, and I would say that the tallest is about 12 feet tall. Anyway, the last time we had them trimmed, our local gardeners charged us $150 to do the whole backyard back in early spring. Including the trees! So Eduardo originally quoted $600 to trim just the trees. I was able to talk him down to $450. Now, the only reason I was ok with the price difference was because I was under the impression that they would be pruning them by hand. I expressed concern to Eduardo about the bad winds we get around here, and that I wanted the trees thinned out. He said that they could do that. Well, long story short, it took two (uneducated) guys a little over an hour to butcher my trees. Eduardo or Alfonso never showed up to direct them on what I wanted done, and even after expressing my disgust, the only thing Eduardo said was that they can do that next time. Hello folks! I would definitely recommend this tree service to those considering tree trimming/thinning/pruning. We had 4 different types of trees that were in dire need of pruning: white birch, sycamore, olive, and pine trees. What I was looking for was someone who would be able to thin/prune (NOT hack off/top off and leaving it look stumpy). His team was cautious and worked hard to meet my expectations. When I saw that the trees could be thinned out even more, they obliged my requests and made sure I was satisfied. Im quite happy that the trees are thinned and maintained their natural look. This company was referred to us by an arborist I called about cutting our trees. We worked with Eduardo to set everything up. He was responsive and came to check on the guys in the middle of the tree cutting. The tress came out great and were shaped Wells We had a little bit of a problem after because things were not as clean they should have been after a cutting. I contacted Eduardo. He apologized immediately and set up a day to come back and pick up the stuff left behind. That didn't happen when initially promised and I was frustrated with the contact. However, Eduardo was sincerely apologetic and took full responsibility. He explained what happen and why the communication had been interrupted. He then had the guys here 2 days later. They cleaned up the yard so that it was spotless and even trimmed some branches off our palm trees to show that he was serious about remediation. I was thoroughly impressed with how Eduardo took responsibility and he more than made it right. Would recommend them! read more

I was very pleased with the professionalism of Alfonso's Tree Service. During the windstorm of 01/21/2022, many trees were downed in the community of Claremont. When I contacted Alfonso's Tree Service, a representative named Eduardo came over within an hour and gave me a very reasonable estimate to dispose of a giant pine tree that had fallen down. Eduardo looked at the fallen pine and gave me an estimate within five minutes. He followed that up with an email that contained the estimate in writing. In addition, Eduardo was courteous, knowledgeable, told me that his company had a crane, and was fully equipped for a job of that size. I called for an estimate on trimming my trees, was given what I thought was a high price but booked an appointment anyway. My appointment was on a Friday (which I took the day off from work) waited and then texted asking if my appointment was canceled. I was emailed a Proposal/Contract on 9/23/20 to trim a pine tree. At the end of December I scheduled to have Alfonso's Tree Service perform the work on 1/14/21 (this morning). As soon as we started discussing the work, Alfonso hemmed and hawed about what needed to be done. He refused to honor the contracted price. Instead, he asked for more money, at which point I informed him that I had retired after 37 years as a contractor, and I consider it unethical to not honor the contracted price. I immediately asked him to load up and leave. I have never written a review, but I found Alfonzo's business conduct audacious and reprehensible. I already have another contractor scheduled at a lesser price. (Alfonso's was originally not the lesser of the bids I was given.) read more

Alfonso said would make appointnent next day. One and a half weeks later, I called and Alfonso said he would be out on 10/17 between 8 and 10 am. No show. Called and was told his son was supposed to be out he would call him. He never called me back even with leaving messages. Now never answers phone when I call.
