Very nice building! Great quality care. My nurse was awesome, he was great to chat with and I felt like he knew what he was doing. He was very friendly and sociable. The doctor came in, asked if I had any concerns, did my exam and said "see you next year." I wish the doctor were more conversational during my appointment, it would've been nice to feel like she actually cared about her patient. Other than that I had a very pleasant experience! read more

I was referred to Dr Doe by a friend for cataract surgery and I was happy to hear, he is a Christian. His office staff were very friendly and professional, wait time was minimal, and the Doctor was quick and thorough explaining the procedure (this is actually the second eye needing cataract surgery) . read more

I always feel like I'm receiving the best care for my eyes, my only frustration is how backed up their appointments are as my doctor tells me when he wants to see me back and when I checkout the availability isn't until a month or two after he wants to see me. I've had to contact the office manager to find a spot for me, I'm not sure why they can't do the same thing at checkout, but other than that I'm very happy with them. read more

Was very pleased with doctors exam, and with the subsequent selection and purchase of glasses. Julie was a great help.

I visited this clinic for the first time at the recommendation of Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance company. It was for cataract anual check-up and making contact lenses. First of all, the shocking thing is that the medical inspector machines have not been cleaned at all! I saw the previous patient's makeup, mascara, and eyebrows stuck together. Moreover, the nurse did not disinfect or clean before I put my face on it. They used four machines but none of the doctors or nurses cleaned or disinfected them. After that, I was given a trial of contact lenses, but was guided to the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't cleaned at all. I've never visited such a dirty medical clinic in my life. Especially in this Covid-19 pandemic! read more

Just overall very rude front staff. I scheduled an appointment was told one day, showed up, and was told it was the following week. Front desk didn't care that I just told her to cancel all appointments and she said "ok-bye" Find a different provider who has less attitude and cares more. read more

The office will not accept insurance until you have met your deductible. The patient must pay in full and then take the responsibility of filing herself and waiting several months for the reimbursement. My company grants us reimbursable funds that pay up to the deductible. This practice keeps me from accessing that money. BCBS informed me that this is up to the doctor and not typical. I was disappointed and cancelled the appointment. My other doctors file, and the insurance company pays the invoice. read more

Staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. Dr. Canseco discussed the results of my evaluation for cataract surgery with an explanation of the process and options. She took time to answer my questions. The appointment process with Ms. Chelsy Murrillo-Williams was informative and allowed me to ask and have answered any other questions that came to mind. read more

I have been going to Dr. Bac Nguyen for exams the past three years now, and even followed him all the way out to the Katy office (a good 40 minutes from where I live). Each time I've seen him, he has consistently shown a level of care, respect, and precision that I hardly ever see with other doctors. As a healthcare provider myself, I am fully aware of the importance of routine medical follow up for my chronic conditions. I trust no other doctor more than Dr. Nguyen. He always takes the time to explain ideas and highlight key concepts about my eyes, and does so in a level that is understandable without being too technical. The staff at the Katy office were incredibly professional, friendly, and efficient in doing their work. Patients can tell when the staff is well trained and detail oriented, and I was impressed with the quality of the staff as well. I will continue to drive through the Houston traffic to Katy to see Dr. Nguyen wherever he practices! read more

So Finally after 45 days they offer to refund my money for the glasses that I paid that were delivered in the wrong color, however they want me to return the other ones and then be without glasses or the money to pay for new ones cause I will have to wait several weeks to receive refund. They messed up big time, so I have to spend hours on the phone, talk to multiple people and complain and still not satisfied. I ended up recording the manager because of the way she was treating me and still it didn't matter. This my first time ever using them and will be my last. I gave them multiple opportunities to do the right thing, now I have to call insurance company to see if they can help me sort this out. I hope you pay very close attention to your lenses/Frames and let them know if they're not in stock they should make you aware before just sending you something you didn't ask for. Now I have to do all of this over again so that I can see and all of us know that getting glasses is not the most fun or convenient activity but it can be pleasant if they make an honest effort to do the right thing and care about their patient. read more

Great doctors! Great staff! great experience! Very Covid-safe.

My experience yesterday was absolutely amazing. When I first signed in, the nurse at the from desk that checked me in was very pleasant. Attitude was great, and for that time of morning you usually don't see that. I was sorry that I didn't get her name. Then the nurse that I had was very friendly and professional in every way. Her name was Brianna, she was very through in taking care of me. She made sure I was okay. I really appreciate and her chair manners. I also made sure to mention it to my doctor. He told me that wasn't the first time he has heard that about Brianna. Thank you for giving me a chance to express my experience at Berkeley Eye in Katy Texas. read more

Berkley eye center of Katy takes fantastic care of my son. Dr. Doe is the best! My son was diagnosed with a complicated condition when he was 7. Dr. Doe and Berkley Eye Center started taking care of him when he was 9. My son is 19 now and he still sees Dr. Doe. If it weren't for Dr. Doe my son would have gone blind. Dr. Doe preformed my son's first cataract surgery when my son was 12. He had his glaucoma surgery at 15. My son sees well now. He's a patient for life! read more

Three visits, two surgery dates, still no cataract surgery. First visit in mid-April 2021, they took all the appropriate measurements and scheduled surgery. However, the anesthesiologist misinterprets notes from my cardiologist and backed out at the last minute. Rescheduled surgery for this morning after VERY DIRECT CLEARANCE from my cardiologist, but when I showed up this morning, they wanted to re-do the measurements, reschedule surgery, bill my insurance again and charge me another co-pay. I think I'll trust my eye to someone a little more patient-friendly. read more

The team at Berkeley Eye is fantastic. I have been going to Berkeley for several years and can't stay enough good things about Dr. Doe and Dr. Garrett - they are both excellent doctors that take the time to explain what is happening with your eyes and will answer any questions that you have. Jennifer the Ophthalmologic Assistant was fantastic! She made the uncomfortable parts of the exam pleasant - this is huge for someone who doesn't like things touching their eyes. Thanks Berkeley Eye for another great visit this year! read more

GoI had my PRK (LASIK) done last week and couldn't be happier! Thanks Dr. Doe and the nice staffs at Berkeley Eye Center for the quick and painless process. Didn't expect to only spend 10 minutes in the surgery room XD If you're thinking about getting LASIK or PRK, I highly recommend it! Believe me, it's totally worth it! read more

I just went to the Katy location for the first time. Phi took care of all of my initial exam steps before turning me over to the doctor. I have to say, this was the most professional, expedient appointment I've ever had. Absolutely highly recommend them! read more

I'm getting older so the lines are starting to blur... time to get some glasses! I was already kind of excited about going in the get my eyes checked because so many of my friends had such great experiences with Berkeley Eye Center and they were not wrong! I am supposed to pick up my glasses next week and I cannot wait! The staff members were so sweet to my son and husband while they were waiting for me to finish with the appointment. They helped me find and pick out glasses that compliment my face shape and lifestyle. (I have two little boys so I need some strong, durable frames and lenses!) I definitely recommend you go if you need an eye exam. Dr. Davis was great! read more

I had LASIK last year; Dr. Garrett has thorough exams, he was only Dr to catch my tiny imperfection in the back of my left eye. I went to Eye Center of Texas and Mann before stopping here. Doctor Doe performs the surgery; he was Flight Surgeon with the U.S. Army. Today, I have 20/20 vision. They don't advertise their discount hero plan for first responders and military. They take care of their firefighters! read more

Amazing staff ! Everyone is professional and the office is spacious and clean . It's Berkeley Eye ! They do lasik ! I trust them with my vision care and my husband. We love their nice location in Katy . Plenty of parking and conveniently located in a booming city like Katy ! I like that the restroom is right when you walk in so that if you needed to go to the restroom you don't have to get permission unlike other places it's located behind locked receptionist doors . They took the time to get your eye exam properly without rushing . We love it here ! read more

My husband and I drive from Victoria just to get the best service and care from Berkeley Eye Center. The optical department at this location is loaded with so many options for glasses. Yvonne did a great job helping me find the right frame for my face. She was honest, friendly and knowledgeable about the frames they sold. The glasses took about a week to arrive at their location, but when they did she shipped them to me right away. I was VERY satisfied with the timing of shipment and her quality of customer service. read more

Maybe they have improved in the past 2 years, but all I saw on my visit was problems. Some of them were not their fault, but the company they ordered my glasses from. But some of the issues were the fault of this particular Berkeley Eye Center. They called to confirm my original appointment, but then when I got there I was suddenly not in their appointment log? I would show up for an appointment for a fitting and the person I was there to meet would not be there. They would step out to grab a snack or something and I would be told to come back in an hour. I just found this location to be very unprofessional and something similar to what you might find in a country doctor. By that I mean more relaxed towards their clientelle and assuming that they could just come back when ever they want. Most of us have jobs and a schedule and have to meet at certain times. They don't seem to realize this. I'll be going back to the one on Wesleyan for any further exams or fittings. read more

Most impressing visit. Everyone excelled and did a great professional job! Aimee, Gail, Otto, y'all rocked and exceeded expectations. Two minor hiccups: 1. When they go lunch, no one to answer my calls or message. 2. my vision prescription had a "-" sign where a "+" should have been. I called Lisa and got the clarification. Check and verify before you leave . Still a 5-Star experience. read more

My lasik surgery went well! Overall i was impressed with the whole staff, the facility, and the price was reasonable.

My husband and I were looking for a new optometrist. We recently came across BEC. He went first. Getting an appointment takes weeks. The front desk is less than professional. But the technician and doctor made up for it. He was quite satisfied with his new contacts. My turn. Again, making an appointment is sublime. I requested and appointment online. After two weeks no one ever responded. I called and it took 20 minutes for someone to answer. The next appointment was a month away? I accepted. The check in was quite odd. The clerk looked at me several times, never said a word. Continued doing multiple tasks. Then, she finally asked my name. Not hello? My wait was minimal. I appreciated the kind technician, the doctor and the friendly check out. I requested to try my regular contacts and try a new brand. My regular wasn't in stock, informed they would be in by the end of the week and someone would call me. No one called. The following week I called and was told yes my regular brand was in stock. I requested to have them at the front for pick up. The young women said yes they'll be waiting for you. However, the brand my husband brought home was not my brand. I attempted several times to speak with someone but no one ever answered. I drove there. I went to the same desk to inquire if my particular brand of contacts were in. The woman seated at the desk looked at me but continued answering calls and proceeding to hold conversations. Finally she hung up the phone asked what I needed. I told her I'm checking to see if my specific brand has come in. She proceeded to check for an "order" for me? Again, I explained but before I could finish the phone rang and she answered it. Then started another conversation? I had enough and left. I'll return to pick up the correct brand, receive my prescription and be done. Hopefully my visit next year will be less trying. read more
