Having "NY Bagel" is literally, sacrilegious to those of us that know WHAT a true "NY Bagel" is. Their name hold true to form, what a NY Bagel is. I initially wanted Bagels & Lox, but changed my mind when I saw what I was also craving... PASTRAMI. I got "The DON," pastrami piled high (NOT "Katz" high, but a Chesapeake high, with Cold Slaw and a pickle. When I tell you delicious!! The WATER's PH balance is the same as NY, making the bagel, an authentic "NY Bagel." The Cold Slaw... my god today... I haven't had slaw like this since I left NYC!! Ambiance, basic, not very reminiscent of NYC, BUT, every menu item is named after an area in NY. So pleased. I'll be back!!!

A Longtime Favorite That Has Started to Slip I love this…read moreplace and have recommended it often, but the quality of one specific sandwich has noticeably declined over the past few months. What Made It Memorable Photo 1 shows the Reuben sandwich from October 10, 2024, and it was unforgettable--the kind of sandwich I could not stop thinking about. Since then, my family and I have returned at least once a month. When family visited from out of town, this was one of the first places we wanted to take them. What Has Changed Fast forward to 2026, and the quality over the past few months has gotten worse with each visit. The sandwich no longer feels like the same thoughtful, well-made item that made us keep coming back. * The bread seems different. * The ingredients feel sparse. * Today's sandwich was burnt. * The dressing was missing. Overall, the quality control just does not feel consistent anymore. I truly enjoyed this place, but I cannot justify paying $17 for a sandwich that is so clearly not what it used to be. A Hopeful Note The employees are kind and friendly, and the service is usually quick even when the restaurant is busy. The food used to be amazing, and I am genuinely hoping this is just a bump in the road and that the team can make a few adjustments to bring the quality back to what it was.

I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of cannolis, having tried them all over the world, to include Italy. So trust me when I say - these are divine! We will definitely be back very soon to try their pizza, Stromboli, pasta, wings, and other delicacies!

The smell drew me in the first time while visiting Lowe's and so glad I took a chance. A line is always a good sign that there are likely regulars and that spells something good is going on. The menu is posted on the outside and is simple fair type with burgers, sausages & cheesesteaks. The one young guy running the grille was friendly and recommended the cheesesteaks which I gotta say as a lover was suspicious. However I was willing to risk it on the off chance this food stand in a parking lot could actually deliver a fabulous steak. The price was affordable for a footling around $10 and added a bottle water and tip came to $13+ The cheesesteak was completed in around 8 minutes wrapped up and in a bag with napkins. I popped it open in the car and was amazed at the pure size and amount of meat. The smell was glorious with steam waffling above. The bread was fresh and authentic to Philly. The only thing left was a bite and it did not disappoint one bit, just wowzers! It was good enough to return prior to writing a review. It ended up being a carbon copy of my success with another incredibly delicious cheesesteak. This time I used a nearby picnic table to enjoy. This is a chain food stand. The owner has two located at Lowe's in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach on Holland Rd. If you love cheesesteaks then Dominic's delivers a masterpiece and you will not be disappointed. A 4.5 rounding up and later learned Yelp friend Terry was a super fan of their steaks which was cool. Don't forget to pick up a punch card when you buy 6 your 7th is FREE!

What stood out to me wasn't the wait it was the exceptional customer service. A gentleman (I'm not sure if he was the manager or owner) kept apologizing for the wait and even offered me a free cookie for the inconvenience. I've always chosen Jason's Deli because the food is consistently great and the customer service has always been excellent, but today they went above and beyond. It's rare to see someone so genuinely focused on putting customers first, and I wanted to make sure that effort didn't go unnoticed. To the gentleman at Jason's Deli hats off to you. A business that refuses to take my hard-earned cash will no longer be supported by me. Not only do I NOT want my digital footprint recorded, the decision to not take CASH indicates a very lazy business model. It takes a concerted effort to count the cash, deposit the cash, and track the cash that comes in. Guess they are too busy changing the menu and ignoring the real citizens who refuse to take part in the current digital revolution. Hacking is now a way of life, and my accounts have been hacked twice already, with fraud headaches that stemmed from tiny little places like this that believe they have what it takes to block hackers. Ha. Joke's on you. When hackers decide to open digital account records, guess who suffers. Even hospitals get hacked for ransomware nowadays. What solves that problem? Paying cash. Cash that GG doesn't want. Not only does cashless prevent me from patronizing GG, it also raises significant concerns regarding privacy and surveillance. Your meal at GG is now a digital record that can be tracked by corporations or governments. You are the product. You just think the chicken salad sandwich was the product. Goodbye, GG.
