Tim Bentson and his crew were great! I interviewed many window installers with many not coming close to meeting my tough criteria. With the few that did, Tim stood out from the rest. Tim's crew installed 4 windows and a sliding glass door (Milgard Tuscany) as new construction. The windows look great and do an excellent job at conserving energy and greatly reducing outside noise. Tim has excellent customer service and continually followed up to make sure everything was installed to my satisfaction, inspected the work of his crew and when Milgard sent the wrong window pattern, Tim helped to ensure the problem was resolved and I got the right windows. We had Bentson Windows install seven windows and two sliders late last year in our 30 year old house. Both Paul, the sales guy, and Tim, the owner are true professionals as are the crew that performed the installs. I got three quotes and found their pricing was competitive but felt more comfortable with them since they listened to my concerns and offered several solutions. Since most of the windows and both sliders were new construction there was patching required to match the existing stucco and match it they did and I can honestly comment on that since I have done some stucco work myself. All outside noise is now gone which is a blessing since we live close to freeway 87 and there are no more cold spots in the house. I am having Bentson Windows out again later this month to install a French door and additional window in my kitchen which is now in the middle of a complete remodel. read more

We had Bentson replace all of the windows and doors at our house a little over a month ago. My intial contact was with Paul, who was terrific. He was responsive and consistently checked in with me to let me know the status of our window/door delivery and installation. I was also impressed that he didn't try to oversell me on potential options. Rather, he listened to what I wanted and gave me the best deal for that product. Once the product was delivered, the excellent crew of Enrique and Jesse took over. Since we were replacing old windows with new, many of which were in stucco, we were especially concerned with how the new stucco would integrate with the old. Enrique and Jesse did a great job. My wife and I contacted Bentson Windows to have 4 30 inch x 6 feet windows changed to 4 42 inch x 7 feet windows. The windows were on the exterior of the house so this required significant construction. It was by no means an easy project as the room had a gable roof which makes the header and support beam placement more critical and difficult. Bentson had an architectural engineer draw out the plans. The entire process went very smoothly and without hitches. Paul was excellent and responsive in providing us with a myriad of window choices and advice. He must have sent us at least 20 different brands, combinations, types, et cetera at our request. Never once did he seem annoyed. Tim came out to oversee the project and make sure nothing was missed. Jim drew up the engineering plans and was detailed and smart! Jesse and Enrique diligently worked for over one week to install the windows. They provided daily project updates which were clear and accurate. Frank did a fantastic finishing job with painting the windows, walls, and other touch ups. In fact, we are planning on using Frank for future touch ups and projects around the home. The entire staff was courteous, responsible, friendly, intelligent, showed up on time, worked hard, and did not cut corners. In terms of price, they were in the middle of the various estimates we received. But when unexpected expenses arose they absorbed the costs and quality was top notch. read more

This review is way overdue. We liked the service so much after the first few window replacements and asked them to come back to replace all of our windows for the rest of our house. Now Tim's team has pretty much replaced all our windows, along with one set of french doors. Tim is a good guy. He doesn't try to push you or hard sell you. If there's some other more economical way to address the issue, he'd also offer it. I've recommended Bentson Windows to all my friends. read more

Tim is a great guy and real pleasure to work with. We got two other quotes (Home Depot and Argonaut) and Tim was not only the best price, but also just seemed to be the most knowledgeable and the type of guy you would want to do business with. Window install was quick, took a day and a half for 10 retrofit windows and a slider. Window quality is good so far (been a few weeks). We had one screen that came with a hole in it that Tim replaced in his shop rather than us having to go through Milgard warranty. The only reason my review is not a 5 is that when they caulked around the outside of the windows they did not do the cleanest of jobs and the trim ended up needing to be painted. Tim ended up splitting the cost with us, but still seems like it was something that could have been prevented to begin with, or at least we could have been told upfront that it could be an issue we would have to deal with. Even with that I would still recommend Bentson Windows. read more

Benston Windows is awesome. We only had a small project, replacement of a garden window and one near the front door. It was hard to find a company that would even take the job. They took the job, and were very professional from the beginning to the end. I took some initial measurements, and Enrique gave us an approximate cost for the work. When we agreed to it, he came out; took final measurements for the garden window, and told us that they just needed to repair the window in the front instead of replacing it. He was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We put a deposit down, and they order the garden window and gave us a pretty accurate time estimate of when they could get to us. When it was near time to do the work, they gave us another call to finalize the time and day. Their people came on time and were also professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They did a great job. These people seem to know a lot about windows and paid a lot of attention to the details during their installation. As they were doing their work, they gave us options of what we preferred; they wanted to make sure that we would be happy at the end result. The were very good and polite about answered all of our questions. They even inspected a few other windows and pointed out that we should re-cauck some of them. After all the glowing reviews on yelp I had disappointing experience with this company. After initial engagement and working with Paul on selecting patio door the process fell apart when I asked if one of labor costs could be discounted to be in line with other estimate I have received. The answer was "I think you need another vendor" and "If another company is less buy their service." Taken a back by the tone of the email I followed up with Tim (owner) on whether he thought such response was appropriate and was politely told that he values Paul and decided to pass on the project. Benston Windows installed in my home last summer (2013) . I chose Simonton windows and the installation seems pretty good thus far. I interacted with Paul who was very helpful and patient with explaining and showing everything, understanding my criterion and providing choices. I did my due diligence in reviewed reviews and interviewing several firms but we knew immediately after our interview with Tim Bentson that we would go with his company. So it was comforting learning that his was the lowest bid as well. However, the most important part of what made this an excellent arrangement and why I am writing this review was that his team of three was exceptional--smart, efficient, neat, and easy to communicate with. They accommodated our presence and worked around us. Our particular job was challenging as we have some large palladian windows which were not symmetrical and they fit the new winds in without a problem. Then they came out to the house within a couple of hours, inspected our windows and suggested low-to-no cost solutions to our problems. We like Tim right away, he is very honest about our options and gave us advice on the best style for our windows. There were some miscommunication with our new Bay window. Surprised that Paul Boewer, whom i worked with at Bentson windows, did not get any mentions on any of these reviews. I called Bentson windows based on the yelps and the entire experience was great! Paul provided me with quotes over email, and then patiently worked with me as i changed my windows sizes and grids and other options 3-4 more times. While Paul is a little gruff, he is knowledgable, patient, thorough, and dependable. He told about what to expect on the day of the window delivery, and even showed up that day to make the correct amount of windows/doors were delivered. I ordered 13 windows and 2 "french style" sliding patio doors(couple of them quite large, including 5-panel bow winodws, and multiple XOX windows). Oh and did i mention that their price was really good also? I also preferred to deal with smaller local companies b/c i required/expected the high level of service. read more

The only reason I'm not giving them a five star review yet is because I have yet to actually have my windows replaced, but so far so good. When I called they were professional and timely. Paul Viewer was at my house within a week. He came prepared and showed up 5 minutes early. He explained everything in laymen's terms and provided me materials to look at, as well as reccomendations with what would work for my situation and budget. We wanted to replace at least 5 windows and we had one widow that was new but not installed properly by another company. Paul pulled out the window, looked and guess who might have installed it and advised me to contact the company and ask them to fix it as it would likely be free of cost due to warranty. I was really impressed with his honesty, as he could have easily charged me to install it properly. Moreover, I contacted the other company and they agreed to come fix it free of charge. Paul provided me an estimate to replace the other widows and it was a fair and reasonable charge, lower than I anticipated. We will be scheduling the work at a later date and at that time I'm sure I can provide the additional star! read more

We just had 25 retro windows and 1 new construction slider door installed. Before choosing Bentson Windows, we had 4 other bids. This is not our first time with this product and windows installation, both retro and new construction. Before deciding, Paul and the lead installer came to the house to address any and all concerns we had. We were satisfied in how they addressed them, so we choose to hire them. On the first day of install, the crew found dry rot and some termite damage under the old slider door. They were very concerned about making sure it was taken care of properly and have to say they did just that. They did the whole job in the time frame quoted. They were very pleasant, respectful, and most importantly they were professional and did quality work. They worked hard to make sure everything was done right.
