8/10/23 I contacted Jerry via the internet, and he promptly replied and scheduled an initial visit to assess dry rot repairs for my Saratoga home. I needed a finish carpenter for some of the repairs. We hired Jerry for a fairly difficult job of installing floor to ceiling board and batten in our 2 story entry way/foyer with 24' ceilings and we could not be happier with his work. We had textured walls so he had to install a thin backing board over all of the walls and then install the battens over all of the joints per our design. He also installed door casings over all of the doors and walkways into and out of the entry way that look phenomenal (see photos). He completely transformed they way our house looks and feels. He also has a guy who does all his painting who painted the job for a very reasonable price. I hired Jerry after finding him on Yelp and the reviews do not lie! Jerry is extremely hard working, fair, honest, ethical and takes pride in his work. Whenever there were decisions to be made during the install process, Jerry kindly offered his opinion on how to best approach but also listened to our concerns and worked with us to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the job. He takes pride in his work and does not cut corners. I have worked with other contractors in the past who are pushy and just want to get in, finish the job, get paid and move on to the next job not taking pride in the job. Jerry is not one of those contractors and I am sure he earns a lot of repeat business for this reason. Jerry recently installed our engineered hardwood floors. He was always super responsive and available over the phone or text which made the whole process very smooth! Jerry removed old carpet from our living room and stairs as well as the vinyl from our kitchen area. He later replaced both with engineered hardwood. As part of the process, he removed all existing baseboards, painted them and reinstalled them back after the flooring installation. What we really liked is that he took the time to complete the work properly and he didn't rush through it. The end result looks beautiful and we are very happy with Jerry's work and diligence! I was looking for someone to install laminate over a cement floor condo (about 1500 sf) He not only came in at a very reasonable price, he suggested a much nicer (visually ) way to go about laying the floor. My husband and I are so happy we found Jerry to refinish our bathroom cabinets. The cabinets had extensive water damage and the doors and drawers were not operating properly. Jerry did a beautiful job refinishing and restoring the 78 inch double vanity and tall "linen closet". Jerry came to the house to pick up the doors, drawers and fronts. As planned a week later Jerry came with his helper to sand and refinish the fronts and sides of the cabinets. We have had Jerry come to our home and do several projects so far. He has done such a great job, that I find myself trying to figure out new things for him to do to improve the beauty of our home! Our story is that we just finished a pretty big remodel. We were less than satisfied with our contracted finish carpenter, who just stopped responding one day. We had closet shelves/rods that still needed installation, some baseboard pieces that needed redoing, cabinet shelving that wasn't complete, and interior doors that needed adjusting because when the finish carpenter had hung them, they were just a little "off". When our contracted finish carpenter just vanished and never returned our calls, we turned to Jerry to ask him to come to our home to do a quote and time frame. He really impressed us. Not only was he responsive to our initial inquiry, but he made sure to find a time that worked with our schedule. And then - he showed up right on time!
