Wow. Wow! Johnny is such an exceptional handyman. Our 12 feet Costco SunSetter awning's fasteners were loose and begin to fall out of stucco, after 3 years. He came by, diagnosed the issue. Took the whole awning down, re-installed using correct/better fasteners. Patched up extra holes and painted over them. What is exceptional about Johnny is his communications! We are very pleased with the work Evgenii did in our house. We hired him for fixing the door from the living room to the backyard which could hardly opened. We thought that we would need to replace the weather strip at the bottom of the door, however, Evgenii found another and cheaper solution for fixing this issue. He clearly explained his idea - The implementation worked perfectly. We asked him to look at another door to the backyard which did not have a weather bottom strip. We feel very lucky that we had Johnny for our column wood wrap replication. At the information inquiry stage, he responded very quickly with detailed information. Then when he visited for more information, I shared my quests and Johnny confirmed with high confidence (the column wrap is a highly customized item). Johnny did an outstanding job staining my Ipe wood backyard. The job took a few days and was labour intensive, but the results were excellent. The quality was so good that I called him back for additional repairs -- garage door,and a few other fixes around the house. His rates are good and he provides detailed quotes and sticks to them. What really stood out was his attention to detail. While fixing the garage door he spotted and took care of a few other things without being asked. That level of craftsmanship is hard to find. My ceiling light burned out, and the wiring was pretty messed up. I checked Yelp, and Joni got back to me quickly with a $140 flat rate quote. He was even available the next morning, which was great since it was a Saturday. I mentioned the short wiring and that he might need to go into the attic, and he was upfront about how extra wiring could cost a bit more. Joni showed up right on time and got to work. He checked things out and went up into the attic. He found a connection buried in the insulation without a proper junction box - which he said wasn't up to code and could be dangerous. He explained the situation and went to the store to get the right parts. He initially brought back a plastic box, but was happy to go back and get a metal one when I asked. He also checked the wiring for the other rooms while he was up there, which was really helpful. On top of fixing the wiring and making everything safe, Joni also gave me a new LED ceiling light! He said he had an extra one from another job. That was a really nice surprise. I was really happy with how professional and thorough he was, and how he went the extra mile.
