Alexei and staff were reasonable with their rates and work was done promptly and looks great.

We had a clogged downspout that we needed help cleaning, so we hired KST Handyman through Yelp. Alexei came with another person George to help out with the job. They were very nice, friendly, and professional. Their English was not that great (by their own admission) so they often used Google Translate on their phone to translate, which actually worked a lot better than I had expected. We were able to communicate with them just fine. They mentioned they were from Russia so if you can speak Russian that would be great. They wanted to connect their pressure washer to our hose to pressure wash the clogged gutters, but our hose recently broke and thus we didn't have one, so they went out to Home Depot to purchase one for the job. They also got on the roof to manually scoop out a lot of the debris in the gutters. To fix the clogged downspout they removed the gutter from the wall and emptied them and pressure sprayed the inside of the gutter to clear them out. The gutters looked pretty good after they cleaned everything out. They also readjusted the gutter to fit into the French drain better (it was misaligned from the previous job from another contractor). We would be happy to call them up again if we had any more house jobs that needed to be done! read more

The last thing you need during the holidays is a clogged kitchen sink, especially when you have many a potlucks to cook for. Thank goodness for Alex! He not only offered us a fair price, but was also here in a jiffy and was even quicker in fixing that clogged drain. He was responsive, professional, and was overall great! I hope to never see Alex again. But if we have any other plumbing issues, he definitely will be the first person I reach out to! read more

KST came out to fix a door that was stuck. The deadbolt wasn't going back into the cartridge. The team came out, tried a few things and finally got the door unjammed and repaired. They were friendly, helpful, and reasonable thru the whole process. Price was great too Thank you KST, will be making calls again for other projects! read more

Alex and his team are reliable and we trust them with jobs big and small. His quotes are clearly laid out line by line, and he is willing to go over each one of them in detail. The team arrives on time and finishes on time and on budget. You should be ready to interact through Google Translate as the team are not native English speakers. This can slow down communication but we never had any misunderstandings. We've had KST over for almost everything: recaulking, mounting lights, fixing up rotting wood, mounting a new door, patching up cracks in the ceiling, and even assembling a shed for us (which they completed faster and cheaper than any competitor quoted!). I'm very happy with all the work Alex and his team have done for us, and will be calling them for my next job! read more

Just had a leak with my washing machine's standpipe/p-trap. Called Alex and made an appointment for the next day. Alex completed the repair promptly with quality quick and easy work and was very professional, with a reasonable labor/parts cost. Happy with his service, and will be contacting him when the need for his work comes. read more

They did amazing work to repair the dry rot on our roof. They were helpful in diagnosing the issue and making it new. Great communication all the way and very high quality of work! read more

We've been plagued with two stuck doors in our house for months. After reaching out to Alex he showed up the next morning. He and his partner were professional, clean, courteous, and held a high attention to detail. In just a two hours, Alex had fixed both doors as if they were new again. Price was reasonable. Will be calling Alex for any needs in the future. Thanks again! read more

I reached out to KST for a shower diverter that was was no longer diverting. Alex responded almost immediately to the yelp ping and gave very clear expectations about pricing and timeline, which ended up quite accurate. Pricing for parts was 100% transparent through images of receipts. Alex was able to directly interface with our tenant, work through scheduling, ID the parts needed, procure the parts and conclusively resolve the issue. You really can't ask for a smoother transaction than this. Pricing was higher than I was hoping, but to be fair, if I tried to do this myself it would have been a half day of figuring stuff out and a couple trips to the hardware store. At the end of the day, KST was still the best bid across handymen and his comms and execution were crisp. We'll be calling Alex again if we run into new issues. read more

All positive with KST Handyman services. I have used them 3 times and all have been more than fantastic. From scheduling ease (they come on weekends and evenings! Huge plus for me!) to fair price, cleanliness and speediness of the service all deserve 10stars! These guys are super friendly and really just want to help. I know anytime I need any service done in the house I will have them on speed dial! Thanks so much KST Handyman team!!! read more

Alex was great to work with! He showed up promptly and worked hard doing installation of lights, door locks and kitchen faucet. He worked hard to save me the cost of a new bath exhaust fan when it was just a loose connection that he secured. I am a realtor who works with handymen around the area and was very impressed with Alex. I will be using him again and highly recommend Alex and KST Handyman! read more

We needed to repair our door due to misalignment. For this, we reached out on Yelp and got a speedy reply. It was easy to coordinate a time for the appointment, with clear communication. I sent over a few photos to help, too. For the appointment, we realized that the door and frame were misaligned in a different way than I initially believed. The resolution was quick and clear options were provided along the way. Would definitely call again for future work. read more

Alex and Serge came within the hour to fix my kitchen cabinets. The hanging cabinets had the top left corner detached. The two of them came in and quickly and neatly fixed the cabinets within 30 minutes. They reassured me of the quality of their work and told me if I ran into any issues, I can contact them. They also provided a very reasonable quote. I would definitely ask them to come back or recommend them. Thank you to the team and am happy to support their small business. read more

They fixed my door hinges. Very responsive and did a great job. They even waited my tenant to get back home. I would reuse them for other jobs. Most of all they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for this simple job as others were quoting. Thanks to KST Handyman. read more

Alex did an amazing job! He fixed a lot when we moved into the house. The main ones are installing a Tesla charger and building in a wine fridge. He works very neatly and definitely knows what he's doing. All together it took 2 days. I'll turn to him in the future if I need to do something else around the house read more

Alex is very responsive and does great work! He helps us with installing a tv onto tile, drilling a hole into our countertop, and more. He can pretty much do anything we need around my shop. He also has reasonable prices! Highly recommend him for any handyman work. read more

Didn't get a chance to use him for my fence repair. However he did seem quite reasonable compared to the other service providers that were giving out estimates. Only reason I chose a different company was that I moved from require a partial repair of a gate to a complete replacement of the gate. Which, although he was still reasonably priced, needed to be completed sooner and the business that specialized in fences that came by was able to start immediately. I certainly intent to reach out to this company for potential projects I had in mind just with the fair estimations I felt he provided. read more

Quality work, quick and responsive. Would definitely call them again for odds and ends jobs around the house.

Quick and easy, but overpriced for the work performed. Realistically, $120 for 10 minute job is not worth it, but I accepted because I was lazy, so some of that is on me. Will not use them in the future given high price point. Replying to tesponse: I'm not disputing that I agreed to it in advance and I said as much. My mistake was lazily taking the first response and not looking at other proposals (who were all lower priced). I've dealt with other businesses who when they realized the deal was a bad one for the consumer--whether agreed to in advance or not--would try to make it better and offer a lower priced, such as, "you know what, that was not worth $120, why don't we just do $60 or $80." But you didn't do that or offer any adjustment to fit the job, even though it turned out to be an easy job. I paid in full as agreed to but it made me feel taken. I take responsibility for prematurely accepting the bid, but you could've made it right just the same. You did a good job, but was it really worth $120 for 10 min? I think you can agree it wasn't and if you saw it first and gave me the bid in person, you would've offered to do it for half. Other than price, everything else was fine. read more

Alex responded quickly on a Sunday night and was able to come by the next day to fix our patio door. After I complained about the quality of the work, Aleksei (Alex) contacted me privately and committed to fix all the issues I reported to my complete satisfaction. He made himself promptly available and I was able to pick a day at my convenience to have the work redone. He came over and spent a great deal of time redoing all the caulking and grouting to ensure the final product met my expectations, explaining all the options along the way and making sure I reviewed and approved each stage of the work. I have to say this was a 180 degree turnaround from my prior experience and I very much appreciated Aleksei's determination to right all wrongs at no additional cost to me. That is the measure of great customer service. I plan to use KST Handyman again for all future repairs around the house. read more

very happy with the overall results of job done. The guys went above and beyond my expectations

I cannot emphasize what a great job KST Handyman's employee Nick did. He arrived promptly, took a quick inventory of parts needed, left & returned in a timely fashion, then completed the job in a safe and efficient manner. In terms of pricing, I was charged exactly what was quoted, not to mention the quote was better than competitive. After I paid and a receipt was provided, I called back with a minor issue that needed to be addressed, and Nick returned promptly and fixed the issue. What a stellar employee; what an outstanding company. Thank you KST Handyman. You are TRULY a "cut above. " read more

Very responsive. Honest. Empathetic. Alex told me he couldn't replace the broken glass of my sliding glass door but could replace the entire door. But he also said the broken glass is replaceable by a glass specialist. I very much appreciate his honesty. I was able to hire a glass specialist. read more

Aleksei came to reinstall 4 kitchen upper kitchen cabinet doors with new hinges, repaired an outdoor gate, replaced 7 smoke alarms, replaced an antique door handle, replaced bulbs in two hard to reach lights, replaced the furnace filter. It took 6 hours, including a trip to the hardware store and home depot. All the jobs were done well. He is neat and pleasant. His hourly rate of $85 is more affordable than any other option. His work was 5 stars. But.. he speaks Russian and almost no English, which caused one miscommunication, but it was nothing serious. He made the mistake of getting on a too short ladder to replace a high smoke alarm (before I could bring the taller one), which caused him to knock an irreplaceble, precious plate off the wall, and it shattered. If you hire hime, you should keep track of his hours and the cost of his purchases. He made a math mistake when adding it all up (counting the first hour at the start, and forgetting to remove the items from hardware that we didn't use) so his initial charge was significantly more than what I actually owed. With these problems, I'd rate the whole experience 3-4 stars. read more

While we're still exploring options and trying to figure out what we want, requesting a quote from KST for the installation of two doors was lightning fast and very well detailed. There weren't any hidden costs because they were all outlined at the onset, and Alex is a true, responsive professional. My experience with the initial process has been great and his rates are very reasonable for what we want to do. I will provide another update if we opt to press forward with his services (which we most likely will). read more

I cannot recommend KST Handyman highly enough. They just completed an extensive, down-to-the-studs remodel of our master bathroom (see photos of "Lafayette bathroom remodel"), and the results are nothing short of breathtaking. It was amazing to watch how meticulously they went about making sure the surface of every stud along each wall was in a perfect plane, and the floor was perfectly flat and level. Then they significantly upgraded the wiring to make sure it was up to code before starting the installation of the bathroom fixtures. They made sure the ceiling lights were evenly distributed, the tile grout lines all lined up perfectly from the floor to the base boards (which on their recommendation were made of the same tiles as on the floor - a very nice, classy touch), and the caulk lines look like they were done by a skilled surgeon. In other words, the beauty of their work extended far beneath the visible parts of the remodel. Also, every member of their crew, without exception, was very polite, good-natured, and respectful, and they always asked for our input at every decision point. They even helped me with a repair on my car while they were there! Now that they've finished the master bath, we've called them back for some additional repairs and projects on our house. I almost hesitate to get the word out on KST Handyman by posting this review, because we would like to keep them all to ourselves! read more

Alex is a decent man working hard to provide for his family. I need a charge station installment in my garage. the cable needs to thread through the whole attic. Alex offered a pretty competitive quote. It turned out to be more difficult than estimated. Alex called over his friends and they delivered a nice job, and he didn't raise price for the extra effort. I also heard Alex is versatile. He can do paint job, wood work and many handyman staff. I have a few pending jobs that may consider Alex. read more

Don't doubt their level of skill or professionalism for a second. Despite English being their 2nd language, they use Google Translate exceptionally well. Very savvy and skilled. They created a custom laundry cabinet and shelving for me in a closet nook space. I originally asked them to build something that would be paint grade to help hide imperfections and all. But, after seeing their high quality and craftsmanship with the woodwork, I changed the plan so the finish would be stain and polyurethane instead. I plan to hire them for other jobs, as well. read more
