The disruption and debris raised concerns about the health and well-being of the people living in the home. Despite all of this, the actual quality of the work was very poor. A basic door repair took almost an hour and still was not completed to an acceptable standard. The results did not justify the time spent, the mess created, or the inconvenience Overall, the service was inefficient, careless, and far below what one would expect from someone advertising themselves as a "certified handyman." My 40 year old screen door hinge broke. I thought, "no problem, I'll just buy a new hinge and swap it out." Wrong! At first I thought I had the replacement hinge but had ordered the incorrect one. I started learning a lot (too much, actually) about hinges. I went to Hone Depot and bought a hinge I thought would do the job, albeit without the spring feature that automatically closes the door. Wrong again. I'm learning way too much about hinges now. I went on Yelp and found Paul Cardona. He came over and took a look. I told him everything I had learned about hinges, and that the hinge manufacturer of the one I needed had gone out of business 3 years ago. Paul said he would check some out of the way places he knew. Miraculously he found the EXACT hinge I needed. I ordered it and he came by and installed it. Hopefully this will last another 40 years. Super disappointed! I messaged him to make sure he would do service in San Francisco (it's quite far from Campbell, so I get it). I am in the process of moving out of the place that I am currently renting. I need to make sure everything is as it was when I first moved in.
