It feels like a miracle when you find a good, honest, hard working handyman. Robert is my miracle :) He's helped me with several things around my house - electrical, plumbing, and random things like doors and drawers. And each task he has handled efficiently and with ease. He's analytical about each task, is pleasant to have in your home, fun to talk to, and doesn't mind when my dog gets all up in his business. At a time when it feels like so many service providers take advantage of you, it's nice to have a Robert in your phone's contacts. Highly recommend. read more

So this is the second time I had asked Robert to come over and put on some wall hangings. I have to say he is just awesomeeeee! He is sweet, easy to talk to and will adjust hangings on multiple requests. Best thing is that he always explains the logic behind any anchor or different work. His charges are quite a reasonable. He was able to take out time for me as I really wanted to get the stuff done this week and did an awesome job (see pictures). I will definitely be requesting his service in the future. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs to get some wall art and/or mirrors done. read more

Really enjoy having Robert come over to do work on my place. He has done a variety jobs, ranging from installing a new set of blinds to fixing a water damaged wall in a bathroom. My husband and I are new to the area and looked around for about a month for a good handy man. I'm so glad we found Robert. He is very professional, cleans up after himself, and does excellent work. Robert was very professional and efficient. He worked on a kitchen cabinet, a couple of curtain rods and an drawer in an amoire. He knew how to fix all our issues. Thx Robert! read more

Robert is super responsive and a wonderful communicator. His pricing is very much market rate.

I've hired Robert for many different home repair needs -- so far 4 different occasions. 1. The weight of clothes hanging in our closet caused the wooden rod-plastic rod holder to break. 2. Broken closet door. 3. Towel rods in bathroom were pulling out the dry wall Robert fixed all of these issues with innovative and reliable (i.e. they will not require another fix in the near future) designs. I look forward to calling him again in the future. read more

I had a great experience with RG Handyman Service. He was able to fix my jammed garbage disposal and my whistling toilet in one visit. It has been about a week and everything is still working perfectly. I will be keeping his number handy. read more

Robert is an excellent handyman! In fact, I loved his work so much, my work ended up using him for a few things that needed to be done. Because of his perfectionist mentality, I know I'm getting the very best! I definitely recommend Robert to anyone looking for a professional hardworking handyman. read more

I called Robert out to install a whole house fan, a new master bathroom fan and replace another bathroom fan. His quote was very fair and he knew what I was talking about, not like some of the other people I talked to so I went ahead and gave him the job. Robert came out 3 days in a row since you can only work in the attic until it gets to hot and did non stop work with great care. He always checked with me on the locations of the vents he was going to install, timer controls on the wall and any issues he might have found while working in my house and even corrected some electrical issues we found from the previous owners. Robert tested and demo'd everything to me and even cleaned up after himself and was very careful around my pets and kept the doors to the house closed. Thanks for a great job !! Owen EDIT: Update.. I asked Robert to come out to modify my kitchen cabinet opening and help me install a new LG double oven. Robert did a great job with reworking the opening and the oven now fits / works perfect. Great handyman! I have him install some new door handles for us. He wrote back via email and set up a date and time. He showed up on time and cleaned up afterwards and everything was set and working great! He was very polite and personable as well. I highly recommend him! read more

Robert is a professional and I was glad my husband found him. We had a leak under the kitchen sink caused by the kitchen faucet. We filled out the RG Handyman on-line work request to replace the faulty faucet. Robert gave us a quote and we set up a time for the work to be done. We bought the new faucet and Robert did the removal and installation. (If you've ever tried to work under a sink, you know it can be pretty bad on your back.) Robert is the type of individual who you want to have as a handyman, He has pride in his business, and will ensure that the work gets done promptly, effectively, and at a reasonable cost. read more

I thought it was time for an updated review for RG Handyman Service. I first hired Robert in October of 2013. At that time I was sort of trying him out on a variety of "smallish" type projects. He did some baseboards, installed a toilet, installed towel racks and robe hooks, and put in new electrical wall plugs throughout my house. All the work he did was perfect but beyond that I liked his demeaner and his respect for my home. Over the following years I've called Robert for anythng that goes wrong in my house. Two years ago on Thanksgivng my fridge and my furnance both went out. I waited til the following Monday to call Robert. He came out right away and solved the immediate problem which was a faulty circuit breaker. He also tested both the fridge and the furnance to make sure there wasn't a problem with either of them that caused the circuit breaker to blow. A couple of weeks ago my front door lock broke. I was very stressed over findng a new set of locks and hardware (double doors) that would fit. Robert to the rescue! He took the whole knob and lock out, saw what was wrong, fixed it, and put the whole thing back together. The lock was fixed and I was VERY happy. That day he also fixed a patio screen door latch, a fence gate latch, and fixed a bedroom door that wasn't closing properly. Two days ago I had Robert back again. This time it wasn't to fix broken things but to install some new things. He put in some LED light bars in the garage and also installed a ceiling fan in the family room. As usual his work was impeccable. I have what I call my "treasure box" of names of contractors that I think are really good at what they do, are responsive to phone calls or emails, and show up. There are very few names in my "treasure box" and Robert is one of them. I highly recommend. read more

Good work and on time but IMHO RG charges too much too call himself a "handyman". [ I have been in the trades over 18 years.] To be fair he did announce his hourly rate right off the bat but I was in a corner and had heard good things so went forward. For what he did here, his per hour rate was much too high. read more

Robert did exactly what we asked at a fair price. He was efficient, personable and cleaned up after himself. We had a list of items that needed attention. Very satisfied! I would recommend Robert to anyone without hesitation. read more

Robert installed our new microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal unit. He did a fantastic job and is a real professional. I highly recommend him and will hire him again! Thanks Robert! read more

Robert is the best! What a wonderful, seamless experience. I contacted Robert about replacing the internal parts inside my toilet tank. I sent him a photo and he got back to me right away saying that he has the parts and can do the job. Also, he gives you a quote up front so you know what to expect. He showed up on time and completed the job with ease. He installed a microwave a few years ago and did a great job. I highly recommend Robert for your handyman services. read more

I used him to fix my door that needed to be rehung as it didn't close very well. He charged me 95/hour which is really high for a handy man service and it took him an hour and a half for 120 to just to file the strikers and to adjust door hinges. It didn't even fix the problem fully so he says he would charge me 75 to cut the door on the bottom to fix the problem fully. That's 200 to just rehang the door correctly! I should have gotten a quote but like a dumbass I didn't. My fault. Won't use him again. read more

I have had horrible handyman experiences. Not calling back, not showing up. Randy was on time, answered his phone, called back and showed up when he said he would. He trimmed a counter and some doors for us. I thought his prices were very reasonable especially combined with the lack of headache. Will be calling him again. read more

In one word 'perfectionist'. I moved to my new place and wanted to get a set of jobs done. I was in search of a good Handyman and was impressed by Robert's yelp reviews so decided to go with him. He helped me with a few doors, installed a few difficult crawl space vents, clear caulking shower area etc... He did an exceptional job and is a perfectionist. He gives atmost attention to detail and fixes even the minor cosmetic issues. He is really patient to understand your requirement in detail and provides the best possible solution with a reasoning. He believes in 'Do it once, Do it right'. I'd definitely be going with Robert's service in the future as well. read more

No skills, no experience and very very slow. Skip this guy if your job is little more involved than simply changing bulbs or door knobs. I asked him to re-install a pair of sliding-bifold doors because the original hardware that came with the doors was broke and wouldn't hold doors. I bought new hardware and asked him to install. He appeared very busy and gave an appointment 2 weeks out which I thought was sign of a good handyman. But it was not the case. On the day of appointment he came 15-20 mins late, looked at the job and said he could do it. I asked him if it was doable and if he sees any problem with the hardware I bought. He said no issues, its doable. He spent 1.5 hours (which is very slow) working them and then said they cannot be installed because doors with the new hardware are too big to fit in the opening. Remember these were not new doors, they existed there. He still charged for the time and left. I expected him to measure and make a judgement if would fit or now, that is what a pro is. I would have paid him to show up but I would not have felt cheated. read more

My husband and I are both disabled and we need an affordable, highly skilled handy man do to light to medium scope improvement projects around our house. I emailed him and he emailed back quickly. He came on time and did a great job! He installed a rolling window shade and a couple floating shelves perfectly. And I'm a perfectionist! I highly recommend him. read more

I have used Robert as a handyman on three occasions over the past year and have been impressed by his promptness on returning phone calls, his skills (he can do pretty much anything around the house from painting to plumbing to electrical), and his friendly manner. He has patched a hole in my drywall and painted, installed outdoor motion light and a shelf, and even hung a problematic, heavy picture I wanted to be hung over my bed. The only drawback is he has such a full schedule that it often can take several weeks to get an appointment and he does not come on weekends. I am glad to have finally found a professional and reliable handyman and would highly recommend his services. read more

I've used Robert now several times. He's done several tasks around my home and has helped extensively with my business selling real estate. Whenever I am getting a home on the market, Robert is there to step in and make quick and clean repairs or upgrades always at a fair price that my clients are very happy with. He's great with electrical and odds and ends tasks. He's handled ceiling fan install from start to finish (running the electrical wiring and leaving with the fan installed and tested), replaced light fixtures, made repairs in home's crawlspace, fixed plumbing and then repaired the damage done to upstairs bathroom floor and downstairs ceiling, You name it, Robert can handle it! And one thing I really appreciate and admire about his business is he quotes you a price and sticks with it, even if he under-estimated the work involved! Give him a call, you'll be pleased! read more

FANTASTIC!! I am so pleased! I had an unusual request to install and replace a wine cabinet cooling system. It wasn't hard but something we weren't able to do ourselves, thus, based on the reviews, I called Robert. He was responsive, was able to get me into his schedule at a day and time that was perfect for us. He arrived on time and took care of business, not wasting one single minute. I feel his price was more than fair and I'll ask him back any time I need Handyman services. read more

I called up Robert today, and he was able to start working on my project the same day. I had Robert install an over the range microwave that old "Handy Manny" here couldn't handle. Sorry.....I really wanted to give RG 5 stars since everyone else seems to like him so much. Sounds like he does great work, but we were unable to get a call back :( I left a message about 1-2 wks ago...didn't hear back. I thought..ok, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt...maybe he just didn't get my message for some reason?? So my husband called back a few days later ( 2nd attempt ) and left a message. Same thing. My husband gave it a 3rd and final try - just a call, no message this time - just to see if he would answer & get him on the phone...and nothing. Maybe someone else will have better luck. read more

Robert is a true pro, we communicated via yelp message and set a date for repair. He came on time and made sure the fan we asked to install was done correctly. He also balanced a second fan and made sure it did not wobble any longer. Thanks again for all your help Robert, I will differently look you up first; next time we need some work done. read more

Reached out to RG Handyman to re-install wire shelf that came down in our walk-in closet and to add another shelf above. The first thing we did was to put in a quotation request via Yelp to RG Handyman along with a picture of the problem that we need help with. RG Handyman was very responsive. From quote to finish only took 4 days! We are very pleased with the work of RG Handyman. Highly recommend!! read more
