Excellent product and service! Bentson Windows replaced all of the windows in a rental house our family owns. I shopped around for Milgard Windows and Bentson's quote was the best. The crew was clean, on time and efficienttime,Windows,. I love the look of the new windows and my tenant says the new windows make a huge difference on insullating the home from the cold and they have reduced the outside noise. I highly recommend this company for replacement windows and doors in the San Jose area. efficient read more

I am writing this recommendation 14 years after I purchased and 15 windows and 3 sliding doors from Bentson windows. They didn't just sell these products, they came to my home, measured, recommended, sold, delivered and installed each window and door. They no longer carry Marvin windows but I know they have equal quality products in their showroom. This is a high quality business which values their customers. Thank you Tim Bentson for working with and for me many years ago...windows and door are very energy efficient and make my home more attractive. Great value for the money. read more

We found Bentsen Enterprises online, checked their reviews on Yelp, a very encouraging 4 and 1/2 stars! At the showroom we met Enrique, who answered all our questions and was a heck of a nice guy too. A few weeks later we have Adam & Frank 2 hardworking, professional & friendly installers here to put in 2 sliding glass doors. We felt comfortable with them both immediately. They put in full day's work and are very good at installing! They were efficient, focused, dedicated to details, just who you want for the job. We had fun watching them, asking questions, documenting, and enjoyed good conversation. They hauled away old sliders, left back porch & inside spotless! I highly recommend Bentson for anyone needing new windows, doors, sliders. And Milgard? Best guarantee in the biz.. Give Bentson a call, they've got what you need. And? They are friendly, reputable, fair priced, local, and easy to deal with. We love our new Milgard sliders, thank you to Adam, Frank & Enrique! read more

I bought my windows from Tim & he was A OK priced Right !! Enrique & crew did A great install & cleaned up too read more

Installed all new Milgard windows and two sliding doors. This is a family owned business with loyal employees. Tim, the owner, helped us with selection, we had some extra demolition work that was messy, they did a great job with minimal surprises with regards to cost and schedule. These guys have seen it all. Each day they cleaned up the worksite to minimize intrusion. The Milgard e-glass has significantly reduced glare and heat/cold, wish we had installed these sooner. We did have some warranty items that Milgard had to come out to address and Tim's team was able to alleviate and facilitate with Milgard's warranty. Overall couldn't be happier we went with Bentson Windows, highly recommend. read more

Hands down the best window contractors around! From start to finish Tim and his team were nothing short of fantastic! Easy to reach them and make the initial appointment, the day of they arrived on time :) and went over all the options they recommended for the area we were looking at for a new window. It was clear communication all along the way. We hired them right then and there! The window arrived sooner than anticipated and they called and scheduled our appointment for the two day job. Today, they finished. We are SUPER impressed by Tim's team (I'm so sorry guys I'm terrible with names and don't remember their names) I'd like to point out that after finishing up the days work on both Monday and today our house inside and out where the work was done was SPOTLESS! We truly appreciate that. In the past we've had contractors over for various jobs but there was usually a mess left behind. This really was a big deal for me! Shows that they take pride in the quality of their work and are considerate of their customers. Also we should note, both Monday and today they arrived on time. Don't hesitate to hire them! Great customer service, kind, knowledgeable and thorough! You won't regret it. read more

It's a breath of fresh air when a contractor doesn't automatically insist that because it's old it needs to be replaced. Tim Bentson came out to inspect my windows and assured me that although old, my windows were in good condition and just needed a little cleaning and some new caulking. When the time comes to replace the windows, we will call Bentson. read more

Enrique is extremely helpful and professional. First, his bid for a replacement window after a burglary was half of the Anderson bid. He explained the process thoroughly. When the window arrived, he scheduled installation the next business day. The installation required substantial work, which he supervised. They replaced the framing with new wood and cleaned everything up. I am so grateful this unpleasant episode had such a satisfying conclusion, thanks to Enrique's experience, work ethic, and empathy. read more

Tim Bentson and his entire team did an excellent job when replacing our entire home's windows and patio doors. (A total of 17 Windows & 2 Patio Doors). We received several bids from other companies in our area, and Bentson was the least expensive for both the price of the same windows and the installation costs too! We saved hundreds of dollars and are very pleased with our decision! They showed up on time and cleaned up very well after each day. The installers were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We were very pleased with every step of the process including the initial walk through, the quote, the installation and the clean up. Bentson Windows and Doors are very professional and we couldn't be happier with the windows and their work. read more

My townhouse is next to a road and badly needed new windows for sound control. Bentson Windows did a great job from start to finish. The business owner Tim gets directly involved-- there's no big company sales team and no aggressive sales pitch. I had docs to submit to my HOA for FREE. (Another company I talked to wanted $1k for docs!) The installation went smoothly, and they were happy to fix every detail issue that I pointed out. In the end, I'm very happy I went with this company. read more

They get three stars for the pricing but attention to detail is not their strong point. They finished the windows with caulking that looked like they were racing to finish the job. Literally one of the worst caulking jobs I've seen from a professional installer. Owner is nice guy but whoever he has for installers needs to take some training on installation. Worst part is - its a newly painted townhouse and I dont have any touch up paint to cover this mess! The fact that Im selling this property adds to the frustration of this installation. My daughter just went with a competitor and their install and caulking was perfect. read more

I highly recommend Tim and Bentson windows. I ordered 20+ windows/doors from Tim for my duplex. Tim and his team are knowledgeable and provided informative suggestions and knowledge I needed for me to make my never-regret order decision. They are professional, friendly, and responded timely. Although Tim was not installing my windows (other contractor did), I took my son to his store asking for installing questions and he answered and resolved our confusion completely. Tim quoted a bit higher quality windows but the price was comparable with others who quoted a bit lower quality. This is subtle and you may not noticed it during the quote. read more

My experience with Bentson was as good as it gets. When I met Enrique for the initial quote he was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Once the job began, Jesse and his onsite crew displayed all the same qualities. They showed up on time every day, explained what they'd be working on, and did a great job cleaning up. The work they did was excellent. We could tell from the way they interacted during the project that they were paying close attention to detail, but we also had verification of their quality. Our neighbor is a contractor who told us he had kept an eye on their progress and was impressed with their work. Lastly, they are very reasonably priced. We paid $11,600 for our project with Bentson. Integrity Windows and Doors quoted $17,500 for the same work. I highly recommend Bentson. read more

We recently got our house painted and realized that the stucco around the windows did not match the rest of the house. It made me almost sick to realize that all the money spent upgrading the windows resulted in a job where the windows had a "ring around them" because the stucco was not smoothed out. We could not tell as the stucco was patch was white, and we thought that this would be fixed with the paint. But nope. Even after the paint it was obvious...I may be OCD but that bothered me a lot. I sent a note to Tim and he quickly responded and had his workers redo the windows facing the street, and even sent a painter to patch up the paint job. His service was prompt and he quickly set the wheels in motion to repair the problem, even though it had been 8 months since the install. Enrique is great to work with and was very helpful in answering my questions. I'm still a fan of Bentsons windows and would recommend them for the next job. But if you are replacing the whole window, please make sure the stucco is smoothed out and matches the texture of the rest of the house. read more

I just had 7 windows and a pair of french doors installed by Bentson Windows of Campbell, CA. I could have gone with a cheaper, big market window company, but I preferred to use a local company and support my hometown. Bentson Windows is a family business. Jim, the father, provided a competitive estimate and his son installed the windows. They did an excellent job, and these are not retrofit windows. They even removed my plantation shutters before installing the windows and then re-installed the shutters. They also did a great job framing the windows and repairing the stucco. The windows were special ordered (I had some funky size windows) and they came in right on time. Bentson Windows installed them within a week. I paid around $9,000 ($4,000 for the french doors) for Milgard Fiberglass Low Energy windows and doors. I will also get a $1,500 tax credit at the end of the year. Milgard windows come with a lifetime guarantee. With the new windows, my house stays cooler in the summer, and will stay much warmer in the winter. They also make my house look great. read more

We recently finished a project Bentson Windows. We had 12 windows replaced via new construction installation. The sales crew was very helpful. They shared a lot of information with me regarding retro-fit versus new construction installation. They presented different brands of windows and helped me understand the pros and cons of each brand. They helped me understand the different options I had available to me regarding UV coating and argon insulated windows. I chose to get a bid from them and a few other companies based on Yelp reviews. I picked for the window project because I felt they were the most honest and most eager to help us find the best window installation method and brand of windows for us. Their construction crew was talented and courteous, and they left my house quite clean every day. The job was not easy because they had to install custom interior and exterior trims. They made the new windows match the style of our Arts & Crafts style house. We purchased Milgard Ultra fiberglass windows. We love them. For our next window remodel we look forward to working with Bentson windows again. read more

I have to write a review to say to all of you shopping around for windows you can stop shopping and go with Bentson. My experience was great. Very friendly and professional. Gave me a quote via email and the quote didn't change even after coming out to do their measurements. Good price too. I had a total of 10 windows and a slider. We had a great experience with Bentson Windows. We have a historic home built in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and were looking to replace some of the old windows on our second floor. Bentson Windows offered us a great deal on really excellent windows, and the service was fast, knowledgeable and respectful. Having gotten quotes from other window installation services in both Santa Cruz and San Jose, save yourself the time: Call Benston Windows first and make it your only call. Paul, the salesman, was the third of five salespeople we saw. He took into account the style of the home, our needs and our budget. He didn't force anything on us, or steer us in directions that were unnecessarily cheap. Instead, he offered us a very competitive price on Marvin Ultrex (fiberglass windows) -- only $500 more than many competitors were asking for vinyl windows. He also didn't try and force us into signing a contract on the spot (which some of his competitors did). Instead, he let us take our time and think it through. In the end, it was a no-brainer to go with Bentson. The installation crew -- Jesse and Enrique -- spent two, hot summer days installing the windows on our second floor. They did a great job, and suffered through the heat like champs. (It happened to be the hottest week of the summer.) They were also really friendly with our dog, which can be important... We're definitely going with Bentson when we have our next set of windows installed -- but this time we'll do it when the weather's cool and save the installation crew some sweat... read more

I had Bentson Windows provide me with an estimate to replace my 8 Windows in a condo. Tim, the owner came out to do the measurements and seemed very knowledgeable about the frame color and the type of windows that the HOA would approve. I also received estimates from other companies, but the reps that came out were not estimators but rather salesmen, who try to push their product without giving any regard to what would be the best choice for you. You want to work with a company that doesn't use a middle man and that will give you a quote for what you actually need. Although I ended up going with a different company that provided me with a very similar quote (for no apparent reason other than I had to make a choice), Bentson Windows was one of the few that stood out, including their very competitive prices, and I had a very positive initial experience with them. read more

The Bentson Windows Company replaced four of our large windows in Santa Cruz. They were timely and did a real nice job. Tim used his design skills to choose a better choice of window for my style of house even though that choice reduced how much we paid for them. That is admirable and I really do like the windows he picked. I am very pleased with the price I paid. In time I will have the rest of the windows done by them. I picked Bentson from the positive reviews I found on YELP and now can agree with the fine qualities that were written. read more

I can't believe such a great company was just around the corner from my home! Tim and his team were just amazing and I just love our seven new double-paned windows and a set of great sliding doors. The team did exactly what they said they were going to do for exactly the price they quoted me (which beat all the other estimates). They also put our blinds back up for us and cleaned up every trace of the old windows and debris. My family and I got a great night's sleep the first night because of the new, noise-reducing windows. We are looking forward to lower utlity bills as well. I highly recommend this company! read more

Unfortunately, we cannot give any stars. Originally we were quoted one price then we came back and they added an additional $26k. This was our first bid. We went to Pellar and California Craftsman and both bids came in under their original bid $30k. What concerned us the most was how unprofessional they were with their vendor. Benston had provided us with a bid from their vendor of choice which we challenged. Their vendor assumed they already won the bid, an expectation Benston set, not us. Benston asked their vendor to show up on our jobsite without informing us. If Benston had, we would have explained that it would be a waste of time for the vendor to show up since we had not decided who to move forward with. What happened next is nothing short of ...well you decide. Tim Bentson has been selling and installing windows and fireplaces for many years. Tim was responsible for the entire remodel of our home which include all new windows AND a new fireplace in the living room. What you will notice about Tim right off is that he is genuinely friendly and knows an amazing amount of detail about the business. I know I had come into his shop with preconceived notions about the windows I wanted; however, Tim took the time to tell me about ALL the windows that are available to choose from so that I was able to make a more informed decision. The idea he had with regards to our greenhouse window in the kitchen has been a focal point for the room ever since he installed it. His idea of using a vinyl clad window in our bathroom was genius. It always looks good even after all the showers. So, give Tim a call...better yet, stop by and speak with him. You will definitely see why I would not have anyone else in this valley touch my home when it comes to windows, fireplaces and doors. After my home, Tim did two other homes, friends of ours, whole house window replacements. One had a living room bay window installed...just beautiful! read more

We had decided on a window contractor and were ready to proceed and they fell apart on us. No calls back, misunderstanding our Association's requests for information - not good at all. My husband went on-line to find another window contractor. After contacting several it was an easy choice to choose Bentson. Tim did everything he said he would in a very timely manner. When his crew showed up to do the job (3 men, 7 new construction windows) they could not have been more professional. Very considerate of our family, very diligent about finishing the job before moving on to their next project. We had one small problem with an alarm sensor being put behind the window trim. Within a few hours of my email, and on a Saturday, one of the crew came over to rectify the problem. My neighbors actually commented on the crew and gave them praise. I couldn't say anything better about them and would have them work for me again. I don't hesitate to recommend them. read more

We were referred to Bentson Windows by Gary Campbell at Viking Door and Window. Tim Bentson runs a good honest home improvement business. His workers are professional and pleasant. They did several custom large odd-shaped picture windows for us. Upon request they supplied the type of glass that qualifies for an energy saving federal tax rebate. Thank you, Pres. Obama. You've made my house cooler. In more than one way. Although the glass has a green tint, it looks like regular glass from the street. We are impressed that Bentson Enterprises does such good work and that they care enough about quality and customer service to go the extra mile to make sure that the job is done right. read more

Milguard did come and check out the doors. They found some installation problems, fixed the problems and lubricated the tracks. They only came because Bentson insisted they come. Now the doors are much easier to open and close and we are satisfied with the final product. First off everyone I met there was super nice and professional. Went in to get some info on window replacements. Window gentleman was not there but the nice fellow at the desk gave me his card. I texted him and he called back immediately offering great recommendations and told me upfront they were very busy until December. Very nice guy. Offered to come give me an estimate. We made a tentative agreement I would text him to arrange a time to come out on a particular day. That's where things hit a dead end. Texted later that day. No response. Texted again a week later. No response. Emailed . No response. Emailed again. No response. Also FYI the company email ( not the personal employee one I used for the window gentleman) on their main website was not working a month ago. Emailed them and it immediately bounced back, maybe it's fixed now. Terribly disappointed. If you say you're going to do something, do it. If you're too busy then just say we're too busy at this time. Also ignoring repeated communication is just, well it's just not right with me. I'm sure they're a great business from all the reviews and my in person experience and initial convo was great. Just a head scratcher when after all that, you get ignored. read more

I was referred to Tim Bentson from a friend of mine whom has known him for years. She told me how he's in stalled windows for 20 years. Bentson Windows replaced all of our windows at a reasonable price. What impressed me the most was: quickly returns calls, friendly, trustworthy, awesome customer service, job well done. My husband works long hours, and Tim brought windows to our house for my husband to view and to discuss. It was great that tim did this to fit our schedule! I was worried about leaving our home to "strangers" but he assured me he knew the guys installing them for 20 years! So, I felt very comfortable leaving our home while they worked. They worked very efficiently and completed the job in two days. I can feel the difference in the temperature of my home...and the beauty, is more than I ever imagined. read more

Bentson Windows just completed replacement of 7 windows and 1 sliding door via new construction installation. Tim did a great job during product selection, quotes, and placing the order. He provided great advice, was extremely responsive, and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, he provided an installation date 3 weeks out, and kept to the schedule. His 3-man crew did a thorough job breaking out the old siding/stucco and only removed the windows they knew they could replace the same day. No openings left uncovered overnight. The nature of construction will create some mess and in general they did a good job of cleaning up. Unfortunately the vacuum malfunctioned one day and I came home to a living room full of dust. (-0.5 star). Lastly, there were a couple scuffs and smudges left on the windows after installation that weren't cleaned off. (-0.5 star). If I could give these guys 4.5 stars, that would be my rating as these two issues were very minor. The crew was very courteous, showed up on time, and completed the job in 4 days. Fast, efficient, quality service. I will gladly recommend Tim and his team to family and friends going forward. read more

Tim Bentson and his crew were great! I interviewed many window installers with many not coming close to meeting my tough criteria. With the few that did, Tim stood out from the rest. Tim's crew installed 4 windows and a sliding glass door (Milgard Tuscany) as new construction. The windows look great and do an excellent job at conserving energy and greatly reducing outside noise. Tim has excellent customer service and continually followed up to make sure everything was installed to my satisfaction, inspected the work of his crew and when Milgard sent the wrong window pattern, Tim helped to ensure the problem was resolved and I got the right windows.
