Good place to get fast, reasonably priced Japanese food. The quality isn't the best and the service is okay. They have a lot of options, including some authentic Chinese food. The restaurant is near IUPUI and it's not a big place, so it gets pretty busy. The parking lot is also kind of small, but it's free. I've been to Bento a lot of times, but at my most recent visit, my spring roll was cold and there was barely any rice on the California roll. However, I'm glad my entree was really hot and good!

I've dined here more than 20 times but this is the first time I got bento box ! I normally have traditional Chinese food here : bamboo pork , mapo tofu , fish soup , stir fried veggies , short rips etc. but this time I went for bento lunch box, which is same as dinner time / all day. I have to admit that I quite like it. You will get fried rice , quite big portion for main entrees , some sushi and some appetizer. It's a really good deal. I can't finish thought cause it's too big for me. It could be for 2 meals! So I have leftover for me dinner! Love it.

Nice Sunday lunch spot, stop in and enjoy the food. Parking is not terrible and the prices are good for the amount of food you get. The service is like a fast casual restaurant order at the counter and find your seat. Enjoy!

The food was good. I got the General Tso's box and my friend got the veggie box. The menu said veggie OR tofu but the box came with both. The tofu was NOT good. To be fair, I'm not a tofu fan but it was flavorless. The lady who took our order was not polite or welcoming. We are in the restaurant and when our order was ready, despite us being the only diners there, they yelled it out and had us come get it instead of bringing it to the table. Then we spent the whole time listening to their kids yelling and playing. The one was literally open mouth coughing in the others face and It's not a large place...and the chairs were falling apart, literally. Definitely took away from the experience.

The worst pad thai I have ever had. The sauce was oddly flavored, there was a lack of vegetables in it and the beef even wasn't tasty. Seemed like something was seriously missing. Very disappointing! However, the Thai tea was very good! Definitely recommend it - not too sweet but just right!

I did not expect such a great option for Asian food in this little restaurant! The options are amazing and the prices cannot be beat. There is also an authentic menu available with a ton of options in addition to the main menu that already has a host of choices. I ordered the orange chicken bento box, which came with orange chicken, fried rice, crab Rangoon, an egg roll, & a California roll. SO much food for about $12. I couldn't even finish it and had leftovers! It was all so delicious, too. The other options looked so yummy too. Their sushi rolls are massive and pretty cheap compared to other places in the area. I would definitely recommend!!

Good service all around. To begin with one of friends brought me here to come try the orange chicken since he knows I love orange chicken. Moreover the orange chicken is good but not great. What is great is their coconut shrimp like literally it's so tasty and delicious . Furthermore I do recommend trying this place out.

This might seem like any ordinary campus restaurant, but this is one of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis!!!! The food here is AMAZING, especially the authentic Chinese menu. My friends and I always stop here after class, and we enjoy the fish in chili oil, egg tomato, or the spicy tofu. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. There are booth seats as well as tables to enjoy your food. I would definitely definitely check this place out and try their delicious Chinese food.

    Taro Milk Tea w Tapioca

I ordered delivery for lunch. First off, the size of the Bento Box is decent! It lacked in a few areas. For the vegetarian box, I got tofu in general tso's sauce - it was very liquidy (not ideal) and just okay flavor. The other thing I was disappointed about is the wasabi was awful, didn't taste like wasabi and was a weird, grainy and flavorless - no signature heat that you would expect. The egg roll was okay, the rice was overcooked in my opinion, and the sushi would have been better with wasabi. On the other hand, the taro milk tea was delicious. I haven't had tapioca before in a milk tea and I loved it. Would be open to trying a different box in the future.

    Shrimp Tempura Roll Bento Box

Ordered online for a pretty speedy pick up in the store! I ordered a shrimp tempura roll bento box which included the sushi roll, side salad, crab Rangoon, and a spring roll. Over all the sushi was pretty yummy. I was expecting a bit more pcs per roll, but the sushi is quite thick, which makes it hard to eat but the taste is still there! The atmosphere was casual, order at the counter type place and eat once your name is called. I enjoyed as many time sushi can be over priced at sit down full service restaurants. Employees were kind and I'd like to return to try some of their hibachi options.

    Red Curry Chicken Bento Box
    Ann L.

Well, the food wasn't bad; I did finish it all, but it wasn't anything I'd rush back to have again. I ordered the red curry with chicken bento box. The flavor wasn't bad, but the curry sauce was very thin and clear broth-like rather than the creamier variety usually featured at Thai restaurants. There was also a huge chunk of uncut onion (root intact) in the curry. The spring roll and cheese wonton were standard and fine. The fried rice was actually pretty good and the California roll wasn't bad, but was a little bland; they also don't have pickled ginger or wasabi to accompany the rolls here. The jasmine bubble tea was good and not overly sweet. Service is counter service; you order at the register and pay, and then they call out dishes as they're ready (no order numbers) and dishes for tables don't come up all at once, so just listen for what you ordered (don't forget what you ordered) and cross your fingers that multiple people didn't order the same thing because I could see this getting confusing. You grab your food from the counter and then clear your own table. Utensils and napkins are next to the register. This place is very close to the building my office just moved into; I would definitely stop in for a bubble tea to go, and might try some other items, but am not sure I'd order the red curry or sushi again. There are a ton of other places that do these things very well.

Went to Bento for a quick lunch and I wish I'd been inside sooner! It was a small space with an open kitchen, but the food came out perfect, hot, and very quickly. I ordered the General Two's box, which came with a large portion of chicken on a vegetables, a 4 piece California roll, a large portion of fried rice, a spring rolls, and a crab Rangoon. You could tell they have been doing this for a while, because everything in the box was amazing and so flavorful, not to mention SO filling. On the side I also ordered a Spicy tuna roll, which was even better than the provided California roll with great spice and Tuna flavor, and a Taro bubble tea which was refreshing and creamy with those delectable little tapioca boba. If you haven't been here and are looking for a filling, delicious, CHEAP (less than $10 for a whole box!!) meal, definitely give Bento a shot.

The restaurant has a very cute aesthetic and plenty of seating whether you wanna sit at a table or at the bar. It was a little bit of a busier time when we came for lunch, but it didn't take our group too long to be seated. They have plenty of options if you have a taste for sushi or if you want a regular protein based entrée with rice I also appreciate that there were a lot of veggie options for non-meat eaters. I had a dish with broccoli and shrimp and it had great flavor and the portion size was perfect. It also came with a small side salad or soup before your entree came out.

It looks appealing on the…read moreoutside and, walking in, also has nice booths, some tables, and a unique, beautiful, large bar/sushi counter. The restaurant presents like a higher-end sushi house, but this is a little mismatched with the slightly loud 80s pop tunes streaming from the speakers. It seems like instrumental soft Japanese stings would be more appropriate. Also a little mismatched in the ambiance is a giant TV screen on the back wall (near out table), and large TVs over the bar area. They just don't "look right" with the tables and interior décor. The menu seems on par in price and offerings for similar-style sushi houses. We split edaname($6), I got the sushi dinner ($23) and hubs got the special lobster & seafood clay pot ($36). I drank water and he had 1 diet coke, so everything with tax + 20% tip came to $90. The food is presented beautifully, and tasted good. Both dinners had choice of soup or salad, and we each got ginger salad. We're lovers of ginger dressing. This one was ok - tasted good but could have used more, as I has lots of un-dressed lettuce in the bowl. My sushi dinner was fine but nothing extraordinary. For the "special" lobster & seafood clay pot, presentation was again beautiful, aroma and taste were good, nice sauce, but it was a little underwhelming in both seafood contents and amount. That being said, we had a small amount of leftovers from the hub's dish (some rice, sauce and veggies), and they present very nice takeout bags with a thermal lining. We actually ended up giving the container of food to a homeless man downtown, so I did not eat the leftovers, and, admittedly, it was not enough for a full lunch. So overall, while the food was very pretty and also tasty, we have a lot of other sushi options that give more bang to the buck for our quantity and atmosphere preferences. #yum #ReviewsByRL

All of my loved ones were there to celebrate my birthday, and paired with such amazing food it made it a magical night. It was a Tuesday night and was fairly busy, but we passed any downtime chatting with each other and sipping on cocktails. The owner, Nara, is SO kind, sweet, gracious, I could go on and on. You can tell she really loves her job and running a business. The staff were so attentive for such a large party and made sure we always had fresh cocktails, water refills, and empty plates were removed promptly. We had vegetarians, peanut allergies, and picky eaters, but they accommodated everyone. I think my husband and I ended up splitting 5 sushi rolls total (still dreaming of them) and the table pretty much split multiple appetizers across the board. Everyone loved their cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. When I thanked Nara for such an amazing dinner and let her know it was my first time dining there and that it was my birthday she brought out a round of lychee sake shots for the table and started playing a happy birthday song throughout the restaurant. Literally almost cried because it was so sweet and thoughtful. The sake was crazy delicious and a hit for the whole table. The only *minor* downside was that each cocktail was made individually by what seemed to be just one bartender, so it took some time for drinks to come out. Again, otherwise a perfect meal, but keep that in mind and be patient for drinks to come out! My husband and I's favorite sushi haunt has always been Mori Sushi before now, but now I cannot wait to come back to Hasuno for more amazing appetizers and sushi rolls!!! They have a small parking lot that fills up fast, but there is always lots of street parking in fountain square. It's a great spot for dinner and easily walkable to other spots for nightcaps to end the evening.

As far as pricing goes, when you order DoorDash there is a slight up-charge, but it's still fair pricing. We got three rolls for $40 with tip and service fees. Three people ate, so overall not a bad deal. If you want to dine in, they do offer AYCE made to order appetizers and sushi.
