    Spicy Crab Rangoon Roll
    Jill M.

Excited to see the spicy crab Rangoon roll on the menu! Honestly I love here because I love saucy sushi rolls and these are loaded up! Plus you can design your own or add extra sauces. Good price for big rolls. We just went with their rolls today instead of customizing our own and it was great. When I was pregnant sushi boss was my hack for making the sushi I was craving, so it is great for that or picky eaters too.

This is called the Boss Special. I tried it after work because I was hungry and it looked like it was gonna fill me up. It's rice on the outside of seaweed, tempura, cream cheese, imitation crab. All topped with crab, yummy sauce, eel sauce and tempura crisps. This has become my go to meal from Sushi Boss.

Mood: Post workout dinner! This hidden gem is the perfect stop for an early dinner. Super fresh; nice service, and clean establishment. The food was done super quick and tasty all the way around! Food: Spicy chicken teriyaki bowl 10/10 love fresh toppings of asparagus and carrots. OMG roll: 10/10 good crunch and flavor. Might be my go to Indy spot!

Ordered takeout from here and was not disappointed. The food arrived before the time it predicted and my order was not missing anything. Very fresh ingredients. Enjoyed trying a new item and will definitely order from here again!

The sushi roll is pretty big for those that look for value! The taste is great and the eel and boss sauce work really well together without overpowering the roll. Miso soup was great as well ! Recommend this location for those downtown and love sushi.

After a four mile hike we asked the granddaughter if she wanted McDonalds or Taco Bell. Neither,, she wanted to go back to Sushi Boss. We had the OMG and Crunchy Rolls and a side salad for the three of us. Just the right amount of food. Their rolls are huge. Everything is fresh and you can watch the rolls being made. Great place for tasty healthy food!

I don't pretend to be a sushi aficionado, by any means, but I have been swamped at work and was in the mood today. I decided to Door Dash from Sushi Boss downtown. Now, most of the time when I order sushi, the rolls are incredibly tiny, about 5-6 little pieces, so I usually order 2-3 rolls not thinking anything about it. I ordered the Spicy Crab Rangoon roll, the Rainbow Roll and the Surf and Turf roll. Let me tell you...I was NOT prepared. The driver handed me the bag and for a second I thought he gave me the wrong order because the bag easily weighed over a pound. I opened the bag and laughed for a full minute before I paraded these monsters around the office: "LOOK AT IT...will you just look at it!" Whoever is out there making these beastly rolls, you are the real MVP. I was only able to eat the equivalent of 3/4 of one, but I have lunch for the next few days. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that I didn't see anything with real crab on the menu. That said, the taste and insane portion sizes more than made up for it. In other words, I highly recommend...just make sure to bring your appetite!

This sushi spot serves up solid sushi options that are made right in front of you. It's essentially a Chipotle style sushi place. The options are plentiful and the food was great. The only thing I would take a star away for is the customer service. The place was clean and the service was quick. The employees were just not very welcoming. Overall it was well priced sushi. I would definitely give it a try.

Ordered two shrimp tempura rolls and was very pleased! The staff was sooooooooo nice! The manager came and talked to everyone in the dining area and the crew happily answered questions my companion had about the ingredients and her dietary needs. They have a lot of sauces to choose from as well, including your faves like eel sauce and yum yum sauce (called their signature names of course). We dinned on a Wednesday early evening and were able to get in and order quickly. I'd recommend Sushi Boss especially if you have an event nearby, as we did, at the Madame CJ Walker building.

Loved the idea of making your own sushi here, similar to subway. Very good quality & huge rolls!

This is for a delivery order - so review of the food only. My husband and I received a delivery order from this establishment. It looked great when we opened the boxes but the taste was spectacular! The Clear Onion Soup is clean and flavored. Seaweed Salad had carrots added and was quite good. The Taste Like Chicken roll was extremely good. We added crispy onion and yakisoba sauce. So so good! Lastly I created a rice bowl. I added spicy crab and was impressed with the amount that was included. We will be back and are excited to try more items on the menu!

The fish was so fresh, and you could genuinely taste the nori, which makes a huge difference. We branched out and tried the Kumamoto oysters too. Worth it. They're tinier than your typical oyster and came with a range of flavors from the seasonings and sauces. Honestly, we wish they'd been served more simply because we wanted to compare them to the ones we've had in Japan, and all the sauce made that tough. Still a fun order though. Skip the Seafood Pot, in our opinion. It tasted like Bird's Nest to us and just wasn't anything special compared to everything else. Bottom line: come for the sushi. It's the standout, and it's what'll bring us back. With ramen, hibachi, bubble tea, and a full bar also on the menu, there's plenty to explore on a return visit.

All of my loved ones were there to celebrate my birthday, and paired with such amazing food it made it a magical night. It was a Tuesday night and was fairly busy, but we passed any downtime chatting with each other and sipping on cocktails. The owner, Nara, is SO kind, sweet, gracious, I could go on and on. You can tell she really loves her job and running a business. The staff were so attentive for such a large party and made sure we always had fresh cocktails, water refills, and empty plates were removed promptly. We had vegetarians, peanut allergies, and picky eaters, but they accommodated everyone. I think my husband and I ended up splitting 5 sushi rolls total (still dreaming of them) and the table pretty much split multiple appetizers across the board. Everyone loved their cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. When I thanked Nara for such an amazing dinner and let her know it was my first time dining there and that it was my birthday she brought out a round of lychee sake shots for the table and started playing a happy birthday song throughout the restaurant. Literally almost cried because it was so sweet and thoughtful. The sake was crazy delicious and a hit for the whole table. The only *minor* downside was that each cocktail was made individually by what seemed to be just one bartender, so it took some time for drinks to come out. Again, otherwise a perfect meal, but keep that in mind and be patient for drinks to come out! My husband and I's favorite sushi haunt has always been Mori Sushi before now, but now I cannot wait to come back to Hasuno for more amazing appetizers and sushi rolls!!! They have a small parking lot that fills up fast, but there is always lots of street parking in fountain square. It's a great spot for dinner and easily walkable to other spots for nightcaps to end the evening.

Let's start with price- yes it's a little pricey. But I understand they are making up for the cost of the downtown location. Definitely a place to go on special occasions if your budget is not set up to splurge here. Would love to see a happy hour menu here so more people can try the food. Next is the quality of the food, which IMO, justifies the price. "Less is more" is so important when it comes to sushi rice. I love being able to get sushi and not feel so full because the minimally necessary amount of rice was used and doesn't leave you full after one roll. All of the special rolls we liked in the following order. 1) Bonfire 2) Orange Blossom 3) Cherry Blossom 4) Trish 5) Emperor 6)Thursday The miso soup was perfect and priced at $3. The drinks and gyoza were good too, but not too special. I would definitely save my appetizer/beverage $ for the rolls. We ordered smoked salmon, hamachi, and scallop sashimi. Scallop was our favorite for the sashimi, but all were amazing. The star (and priciest) of our dinner we did not capture, but it was the Maduro Nigiri. The quality was very good and fatty, I thought it tasted like Hara-naka. Service was great. No wait. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I'm not a fan of raw sushi, so I always get the sweet potato roll and/or the stop 11 roll. We ordered DoorDash last night and added the tomago roll and it will be added to my favorites at Sushi Club. The stop 11 roll was all gone before I could snap a picture, but there are pictures uploaded by other users. Note: I do substitute soy wrapper instead of seaweed and I add cream cheese to the tomago and sweet potato rolls. It's $2 extra but well worth it. As far as pricing goes, when you order DoorDash there is a slight up-charge, but it's still fair pricing. We got three rolls for $40 with tip and service fees. Three people ate, so overall not a bad deal. If you want to dine in, they do offer AYCE made to order appetizers and sushi. The restaurant itself is no frills, but it's a good bargain if you can eat a good amount of food. If you don't like something, tell the server and don't just leave it on your plate at the end because you'll be charged extra if you leave a certain number of pieces. If you're a light eater like me and AYCE isn't for you, there is a full menu to order from. If you haven't tried this place, give them a shot!
