This place was nice! We ordered 3 different sushi roll and an order of pork dumplings they were all very good. Service was great! Would dine here again !

When the area around the convention was busy AF with 20+ party in line everywhere - you walk about 15 minutes away and can escape the crowd. A diverse menu with a lot of innovative items. Really enjoy the complimentary pickles. Also really like the decoration of the spot - nice modern vibe. Service was good they checked on us multiple times and was quick to bring out food. Oysters- fresh, big, fatty. Great price. Ocean roll - that uni is pretty strong, and the roll as the whole was really balanced. Like the orange slices on the side. Nigiri combo was a good deal and fresh. My partner got a dinner combo. A lot of food but wish the combo let you pick more choices instead of a preset. Overall would recommend.

Sushi Den has a very kind staff that excels with their service. The restaurant itself gives a sleek and modern vibe. Very clean! The sushi was good. I got the Pacers Roll. I've had better quality sushi for the price, but it will do the trick if you're near by. I wasn't overly impressed, I most likely won't go back due to the higher price compared to other spots I've tried. I expected a little bit more for the price.

Post tournament dinner! Highest rated Japanese restaurant in Downtown Indianapolis. Located next to the Indiana Pacers arena, delicious Japanese cuisine. Teishoku and sushi! Sashimi box, featuring 9 different cuts of seafood delicacies. Raw oysters on the half shell. Dinner item comes with miso soup and salad! I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary dessert! Strawberry mochi ice cream, which was cut into quarters and topped with whipped cream and chocolate!

Flew to Indy to drop our son off at college - his last meal with us was sushi - not bad considering our distance from the ocean - yes, I've heard of planes - we liked the plain nigiri and spicy scallop hand roll - the specialty rolls were kind of fun - the uni was not good, like, at all. I love uni. What is this? Regardless, this place is a solid choice for when we visit our son in Indy from SF Bay Area. God, I miss him so much. We ordered more but son wouldn't want his face plastered on Yelp...

The decor is a 10/10! The Hot Hot roll was pretty good and came out super quick. The Hibachi chicken was well seasoned, a good portion, and the veggies were cooked perfectly. The prices are affordable and the vibe is so cute.

Its a beautiful and calming space offering a nice little refuge from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I loved that the cocktail menu featured pictures. Something all restaurants should do. Ordered a Sunrise 8 which is similar to an Aperol Spritz. It was one of the best cocktails I have had in a while. Perfect for a hot, Summer day. I ordered a Salmon and Mango Sushi Roll. Very nice presentation and overall a really good roll.

Ambiance is modern upscale casual. Had reservations for Saturday 5pm, a few hours before Billy Joel & Sting concert. Glad we had reservations as the restaurant quickly filled up as we had our dinner. Sushi quality excellent, fresh and innovative combinations. Very fast and friendly service. Would definitely recommend and would return in future.

Cool spot right off the main. Friend service, decently priced, and good sushi quality. Fun vibe. Definitely worth checking out!

We've been here a few times and have loved each experience. First, the decor is unbelievably cute with all kinds of plants and flowers. But the food is excellent- the sushi is fresh and soft like butter. We also had the crab rangoon, spring rolls, fried rice with chicken and the hot hot roll. Out server was also very sweet and on top of it. A+ Highly recommend this place!

I made a lunch reservation for 8 to celebrate graduation with family. Overall, we had a great experience. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers and a sushi boat (beware the calamari is shaped like rings and is only 5-6 pieces) It tasted good but the portion was small for a large party. Love the ambiance and decor of this restaurant. It's very pretty inside and super clean which I appreciated. The sushi was pretty good. I have not had much luck finding good sushi in Indy, but this place did not disappoint. I enjoyed the sashimi and the sushi rolls were very unique and flavorful. I personally loved the roll with mango! I would recommend this spot for a date night or a lunch with friends/family.

We love sushi den! We've been here a couple times and I think we've been really early each time, so it wasn't busy at all. We loved all the rolls we've tried. I can't say I loved the yakisoba but it was still good. It's a cute place, with lots of plants.

My family took a mini vacation to discover Indianapolis. We stayed in the active downtown area. After a day of walking around and discovering the downtown area, we were craving Sushi. We looked for a close sushi place with affordable rates and a good rating. We landed at the The Sushi Den. It hit all the boxes with good service, easy to find location, neat ambiance and delicious food with fair pricing. The three of us were starving so we ordered crab ragoon and miso soup right away and came quickly. We ordered a total of four rolls, which included two house special rolls. The family favorite was the spider. At the end we were suprised with mochi for dessert, very tasty and light. I would recommend to any local Indy sushi lovers. Enjoy

The restaurant has a very cute aesthetic and plenty of seating whether you wanna sit at a table or at the bar. It was a little bit of a busier time when we came for lunch, but it didn't take our group too long to be seated. They have plenty of options if you have a taste for sushi or if you want a regular protein based entrée with rice I also appreciate that there were a lot of veggie options for non-meat eaters. I had a dish with broccoli and shrimp and it had great flavor and the portion size was perfect. It also came with a small side salad or soup before your entree came out.

It looks appealing on the…read moreoutside and, walking in, also has nice booths, some tables, and a unique, beautiful, large bar/sushi counter. The restaurant presents like a higher-end sushi house, but this is a little mismatched with the slightly loud 80s pop tunes streaming from the speakers. It seems like instrumental soft Japanese stings would be more appropriate. Also a little mismatched in the ambiance is a giant TV screen on the back wall (near out table), and large TVs over the bar area. They just don't "look right" with the tables and interior décor. The menu seems on par in price and offerings for similar-style sushi houses. We split edaname($6), I got the sushi dinner ($23) and hubs got the special lobster & seafood clay pot ($36). I drank water and he had 1 diet coke, so everything with tax + 20% tip came to $90. The food is presented beautifully, and tasted good. Both dinners had choice of soup or salad, and we each got ginger salad. We're lovers of ginger dressing. This one was ok - tasted good but could have used more, as I has lots of un-dressed lettuce in the bowl. My sushi dinner was fine but nothing extraordinary. For the "special" lobster & seafood clay pot, presentation was again beautiful, aroma and taste were good, nice sauce, but it was a little underwhelming in both seafood contents and amount. That being said, we had a small amount of leftovers from the hub's dish (some rice, sauce and veggies), and they present very nice takeout bags with a thermal lining. We actually ended up giving the container of food to a homeless man downtown, so I did not eat the leftovers, and, admittedly, it was not enough for a full lunch. So overall, while the food was very pretty and also tasty, we have a lot of other sushi options that give more bang to the buck for our quantity and atmosphere preferences. #yum #ReviewsByRL

All of my loved ones were there to celebrate my birthday, and paired with such amazing food it made it a magical night. It was a Tuesday night and was fairly busy, but we passed any downtime chatting with each other and sipping on cocktails. The owner, Nara, is SO kind, sweet, gracious, I could go on and on. You can tell she really loves her job and running a business. The staff were so attentive for such a large party and made sure we always had fresh cocktails, water refills, and empty plates were removed promptly. We had vegetarians, peanut allergies, and picky eaters, but they accommodated everyone. I think my husband and I ended up splitting 5 sushi rolls total (still dreaming of them) and the table pretty much split multiple appetizers across the board. Everyone loved their cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. When I thanked Nara for such an amazing dinner and let her know it was my first time dining there and that it was my birthday she brought out a round of lychee sake shots for the table and started playing a happy birthday song throughout the restaurant. Literally almost cried because it was so sweet and thoughtful. The sake was crazy delicious and a hit for the whole table. The only *minor* downside was that each cocktail was made individually by what seemed to be just one bartender, so it took some time for drinks to come out. Again, otherwise a perfect meal, but keep that in mind and be patient for drinks to come out! My husband and I's favorite sushi haunt has always been Mori Sushi before now, but now I cannot wait to come back to Hasuno for more amazing appetizers and sushi rolls!!! They have a small parking lot that fills up fast, but there is always lots of street parking in fountain square. It's a great spot for dinner and easily walkable to other spots for nightcaps to end the evening.

Let's start with price- yes it's a little pricey. But I understand they are making up for the cost of the downtown location. Definitely a place to go on special occasions if your budget is not set up to splurge here. Would love to see a happy hour menu here so more people can try the food. Next is the quality of the food, which IMO, justifies the price. "Less is more" is so important when it comes to sushi rice. I love being able to get sushi and not feel so full because the minimally necessary amount of rice was used and doesn't leave you full after one roll. All of the special rolls we liked in the following order. 1) Bonfire 2) Orange Blossom 3) Cherry Blossom 4) Trish 5) Emperor 6)Thursday The miso soup was perfect and priced at $3. The drinks and gyoza were good too, but not too special. I would definitely save my appetizer/beverage $ for the rolls. We ordered smoked salmon, hamachi, and scallop sashimi. Scallop was our favorite for the sashimi, but all were amazing. The star (and priciest) of our dinner we did not capture, but it was the Maduro Nigiri. The quality was very good and fatty, I thought it tasted like Hara-naka. Service was great. No wait. 10 out of 10 recommend.
