Three stars = A-OK. Our beef sandwiches were tender, flavorful and generously sized. (I cut mine in half to enjoy it for the next day's lunch.) Prices are reasonable for what you get. I've passed by Bentley's for years thinking "I need to stop one of these days". Today was finally the day. Happy Dance The Chicken Kabob Sub was delicious. Filled to the brim with perfectly cooked chicken, peppers, onions and mushrooms. Loved the outdoor seating area. Plenty of tables.... the outdoor water feature is a nice touch. You wouldn't know you were so close to Rt101 with the beautiful sound of the waterfall. Made for a very enjoyable, peaceful lunch. I will definitely be back. read more

I typically go to Bentley's but not anymore each salad I order keeps getting worse. My Caesar salad I ordered literally was lettuce and chicken thrown on, no cheese and 3 croutons not to mention they gave me greek dressing for a Caesar salad. The time before I got all the way home and by accident the person didn't run my card for my salad correctly and instead of taking care of it they bothered me at home and took my card again over the phone. So, we decided to try this place out after some good reviews. Unfortunately, I could not go to The Beach Plum or Kimball's tonight.... What the heck, there are good reviews about this place, right. What could go wrong? The main issue here is, they do not have good portions and my kids refused to eat their hotdog and cheeseburger. The "dinner" plate of scallops had about 7 of them.... For 18 bucks, I expect more. The scallops were decent. Shrimp "dinner" platter had no seasoning. Also, the onion rings were over battered and over cooked and cole slaw needed more sauce - too dry. I figured I was stuck on a diet tonight, but my kids did not even eat their burgers or dogs...the hotdog was more like a sausage which is odd for a kids meal and the burger was saturated in mayo and mustard. I go here on occasion for lunch. It's awesome! I have only ever had the roast beef sandwich, and I would recommend it without reservations! Roast beef is freshly sliced for your sandwich and melts in your mouth. My one complaint is that they charge per topping. The price you pay for the sandwich is, let's say $6.99, but that does not include ANY toppings. The cost per topping is not too much, I think $.25 per. I would highly recommend going here for the roast beef sandwich. read more

If you haven't tried Bentley's fish platters you are missing out. The breading is crisp and flaky, the fish tender and juicy. The haddock plate with fried sweet potatoes is excellent! Seafood platter is also great! The seafood is always fresh and cooked just right. read more

Terrible. I grew up on the north shore and worked at a roast beef joint as a kid. When Bentley's opened, I was so happy to see the north shore's classic sandwich had made it's way to NH. For a while it was really good. However, there seems to be a new crew running the place and they haven't a clue about how to make a proper beef sandwich. I've been in there twice this year and it has been HORRIBLE each time. Both times the beef was cold and it was cut thick and with the grain; creating a cold, stringy, tough mess. Garbage. The second time the bun wasn't even grilled. Mind you that each visit was at like 5:30-6:30PM and they were slow. I strongly suggest that the new crew head down to Massachusetts and find a Simard's or Chick's to see what the sandwich is supposed to be like. I'm sorry to say it, but considering they've got roast beef in their name and don't know how to make a proper beef sandwich, I give them six months before this place goes under. read more

My husband and I stop here often and are never disappointed! Warm, tender, juicy roast beef is shaved thin and piled on a bun. The different size sandwiches come on different buns ( plain, sesame, onion, or sub roll) I always get two "juniors" with no toppings or cheese, (smaller size in terms of ounces of beef on a plain bun) and sprinkle on just a bit of salt and pepper. Delicious! You barely have to chew the beef is so tender, and I think it would be a tragedy to add sauces or toppings because the flavor is so good on its own! I crave these sandwiches. The French fries here are always excellent too, as is their Greek lemon soup. I could not tell you one thing about the rest of the menu. (why go to a roast beef place and order chicken??) I gave them four stars because once in a while, the beef is a bit dry ( I think this happens when you get to the edges of the roast they slice off of) also, there can be a bit of a wait at certain times of the day. If you're familiar with Kelly's, then you know that that is the highest compliment for any roast beef place. I can't offer an opinion on much more than the #1 combo. What a awesome little place ! The owner is so great, been in there multiple times ! Pregnant and not pregnant , owner always recognized us , makes a point to stop by the table to see the baby and genuinely cares about his customers . We bring family and friends not from the area , as it's a Nashua favorite for us. The outside with the waterfall is really a beautiful setting and you would have no idea your on Amherst street. The food is amazing , the food is fairly priced in comparison to serving size . You won't leave hungry ! You can tell when someone's heart and soul is in their business , and this is one of those places . Each recipe is thought out , and has real heart in it . Great service , great food , the environment is wonderful. So happy to have found this little gem. If you are on the fence about going in ... do yourself a favor , give it a try . I have driven by this establishment at least a hundred times. I decided to finally stop in for some lunch to-go. I ordered a haddock dinner, specified no coleslaw or tartar sauce over the phone and said I'd be by to pick it up. The lady on the phone took my name and I was on my way. Upon arrival to the restaurant, I observed the manager or owner (I'm really not sure who he was) yelling at one of his staff members. If you're going to discipline an employee, it's best to do this away from the customers. When I stepped up to the counter the gentleman asked me what I wanted and I told him that I ordered over the phone and gave him my name. Nobody seemed to know what my order was or where it was. After waiting a couple of minutes he looked over by the window and saw my order sitting there (it was there before I walked into the place). I paid for it and took it home. When I opened the bag, there were 2 containers; one with tartar sauce and the other with coleslaw. I took out the entree and started to dig in. The fries were old and soggy; I ate a couple of them and pushed the rest aside. I took about 3 bites of the fish, which was good at first, but something didn't taste right. I picked up the fish and noticed that underneath it was pieces of carrots, cabbage, and mayonnaise. They obviously had put the coleslaw in the container and then scraped it out. I coleslaw and mayonnaise are some of my least favorite things in the world. So, there I was, down $12 and hungry. My advice to the proprietors of this establishment would be to no yell at your employees in front of customers, keep track of your orders better, and if you mess up an order you should start a new one. Scraping the stuff that I didn't want on my plate is not a good solution. Someone might be asking for something a certain way because they might have an allergy (this was not the case with me).
