a variety of bottles

Ben's is a quality liquor store, and I can't believe I've been missing out for years. It's also locally owned, which is a huge plus in my book. This one really surprised me. First I found Sangria Lolea, which is a fantastic summer sangria and also perfect for brunches too. Fancy bottle equals a ton of fun, and it's super affordable too. Then around another corner I found a tequila I'd been searching for with distribution discontinued in NV and zero retail outlets! I feel like a doofus for leaving it there but I have a feeling I'll be returning to grab it sooner than I know. Then there's whiskey. It's pretty clear that they've got someone in the know purchasing this selection. Quality bottles, nothing outrageously hard to find, but all at affordable prices. Some are slightly higher than elsewhere but nothing crazy. Oh yeah. This location also has a formal bar in it for tastings, hosted in Friday's for $5! I stopped in here completely on a whim. I'll be back. If you're a beer fan reading this far, they've got a stash of Fifty Fifty Eclipse too!

Staff in the evening is extremely rude and unhelpful. I prefer to shop local but this store is just not worth it.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely amazing. They also have a great wine selection, but what really made the experience stand out was Nico, the owner. His passion for what he's created is so apparent, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and wine. I loved hearing that many of the dishes are based on family recipes and that a lot of the vegetables they use are grown locally. You can tell there's so much thought and care behind everything they serve. It's the kind of place that feels special without being pretentious -- great food, great wine, a beautiful space, and people who genuinely care about what they're doing. I'll definitely be back!

They were doing a Prix Fixe for Reno Food and Drink Week and I went in knowing my husband would do it, but I would order something else. I have always had a think against smoked anything, they had a salad with smoked salmon on top. To my surprise I tried a bite of my husband's and I would have eaten it with know issue, it was nicely done. Same with his Duck Confit pasta. They were both accompanied with wine that fit them nicely . For myself I had a lovely Brussel sprout salad with a glass of Viognier, that was recommended . Return visits to come

This is a neat spot to check out especially now that they are also a distillery! Staff are always…read morefriendly and helpful. Depending on the day/time, they have a food truck. The old building is very open and it's a nice touch that they have some games to play while you're enjoying a brew or bourbon. Occasionally their tap list is a bit limited but in general they have something for just about everyone.

Cut and pasted from their website: "Slieve means "A…read moreMountain" in Irish Gaelic, their family roots." Quality/Quantity - Been an extremely long stressful day! So I NEEDED a break from the day to just relax and stop thinking! I gave my wife a few options, a few breweries to choose from (or for me to just go alone, which she would not have let me drink and drive, especially all the way from North Reno). So she/we chose to go to Slieve as I have not been there yet. Actually, all 3 choices were breweries. The good news is that there are more and more new breweries opening. The bad news is that there are more and more good breweries closing, in ALL my hometowns... My first time in a nano brewery; cool. Today I got (and tried the following), all Slieve brands; support local: Oh, I did not know you had a happy hour M-F from 2-5pm; I just missed it by 13 minutes... Should not have spent so much time outside taking pictures for Yelp, lol. Pale Ale - Good, but I prefer more flavor. This is currently my second "go to" beer after reds. Jimbo Porter - Better, but then I tried the Cookie Monster! I also did not taste the coconut. Cookie Monster - My favorite of the beers, so much flavor. And I am NOT usually a sweet beer drinker. It was not an overwhelming stout, probably due to the sweetness, but you can definitely taste the chocolate and slightly coffee and caramel flavors. I would get this again, but it would always have to be my last beer due to the flavors. Beers that I need to come back for when available are: Your reds, IPAs and of course your "Trinity Tripel." Ambiance - On your "about" page on your website, it says you are still looking for a home for your brewery...? Is that accurate or does that page need to be updated? Cool space, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar and table seating. 2 bars, one the back, probably only used for events. Semi private room when you walk in. Ping pong, darts, games, cornhole, cool decor on walls throughout to read, etc. Open 7 days a week, see their website. Yelp's hours/days differ slightly. Event spaces are available; see their website.. Service - Good. We were also greeted by Shannon when she and Phillip came in later for a drink or two... Phillip was too busy drinking to say hi, lol. Price - $8 a beer. The typical cost for good craft beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022 with your nanobrewery; I wish you the best and am glad you own the building to help you weather some "storms."

It was our first time going to a drag show and it was a blast having a Mother's day reunion this way. The entertainers were fun (Maria you're the best) and the drink service could have been a little faster. There were many of us at our table that ordered bottomless mimosas. The rest of our mommy's had tequila and other hard liquors. The food options at the outdoor parking lot were delicious. It did take some time. This parking lot is horribe. I recommend ride share or getting dropped off here so you don't have to leave your car downtown on the streets. This part of 4th street isn't the best area. Shout out to the hubbs for shuttling me. We'll have to come back and have beer on the other side. I love their peanut butter stout and usually have a chilled pack in my fridge in the Summer. Thanks to the Lead Dog for hosting The Twampson's drag brunch for a fun and memorable Mother's day celebration.

The bartenders are always friendly and helpful, willing to let you try any drafts before deciding, and providing their opinions. My latest visit with the Mrs I was excited to find Jai Alai from Cigar Brewing in FL, quite a find in Reno! My wife always enjoys their selection of sours, also a rare find in Reno since most bars don't have Sours on draft. The patio is always nice to enjoy although it was a little cold and windy so we enjoyed the indoor seating with a nice view. They also have some TVs around to enjoy the World Series or any other games based on the timing. I will also mention there is a happy hour although I didn't see it mentioned anywhere but when we came in around 5:30 on a Monday we received a dollar off each draft, nice bonus!

This is the biggest challenge of coming here; we usually park a few blocks away. Shared restrooms with the center. Follow the signs. Open 7 days a week from noon until 10pm or midnight.
