5 stars for Bada Bing in Venice. Arrived when place was packed. Waited outside and watched patrons leave. Went inside asked for a table for 2 and was told people were finishing up if we wanted to wait. We waited, maybe 10 minutes. We were waited on within 3 minutes for drink orders. After placing drink/app/meal order, drinks, salads (large salads for a starter!) and ohmygod those amazing garlic knots arrived immediately. Apps arrived 10, 15 minutes later. One app had to be sent back as there was ricotta on it--companion doesn't eat ricotta and the cheese wasn't mentioned in ingredients on menu. No problem! It was replaced without issue. Waited another 15-20 minutes for main meal- 1 spaghetti and meatballs and 1 Chicken Marsala. Huge portions. Marsala had an incredible amount of mushrooms (). Meatballs were enormous--and quite perfect, not dense, moist and seasoned just right. Both meals were excellent. As it was so very busy, for our patience we received 2 cannoli on the house (both for me ). Service was friendly and efficient. Bada Bing is a family owned establishment, grandkids pithcing in to help . Menu is extensive. We look forward to adding this to our rotation. read more

Well I guess I should start off by saying this is a small pizza place., I thought it was a larger restaurant... Not... A bit small and you can definitely feel the heat from the ovens... I'm not one to complain about heat.. But it was hot. Garlic knots were yummy... The pizza looked yummy .. Dinner well we were undecided. Half of us liked it, the other half not so much. The red sauce is delicious. My carbonara sauce was runny and tasteless. The broccoli rabe was good, the Zuppa de Pesce was tasty, the vodka sauce just ok. Now we are critical eaters from New Jersey so take our review with that background info. Everyone else was loving and enjoying. Excellent food, and Excellent Service. When you walk in the restaurant, you feel like you have walked into a Italian Kitchen, they make you feel welcome. We walk in sit down and waited for our friends to show. Waitress sked if we wanted drinks right away. Yes she was awesome. But this guy walks out from the kitchen sat down at the table next to us started talking about food and I said someone told me this place has the best Calamari he proceed to talk about how to cook the calamari fast a not to Crispy. My wife who does not eat calamari because it is to chewy wanted it crispy. He said let me cook it for you. He proceeded to go in the back. First time here last night. Great pizza, service and atmosphere. Definitely a family go to place.

I met Bennie while in Cafe Bagel next door. He mistook me for a family member and we struck up a conversation. I told him I'd come back later in the day for pizza and man am I happy I did. I liked how quaint and old school the restaurant was. Table placement made me think of places I've been where strangers end up striking up conversations between tables. The excitement on Benny's face also made my day when he looked up, saw me and exclaimed "You came back!" It wasn't just Benny though, the entire staff was very welcoming. We ordered a large pizza that was bigger than expected. It was a NY style pizza that was on point. Good sauce and not to much I'd say the perfect amount, good pepperoni and the meatballs tasted homemade and were absolutely amazing. We also ordered Teriyaki wings. Easily the best wings I've tasted in Venice so far. I look forward to trying more dishes upon our return to Venice. Benny's will now be a regular stop for us when we visit. read more

I was surprised that no one was wearing masks last Friday when I picked up a carryout order. When I commented the manager said "they don't do any good ". He basically made fun of me for wearing one. I won't be returning to this establishment again. It makes me wonder if they ignore other health initiatives. read more

Just left BadaBing after finishing my first visit here. Had a salad, garlic knots and linguine w meat sauce. Pasta was overcooked but the sauce was very good and the garlic knots were outstanding. Will try their pizza next, it looked good. read more

This is not your local Olive Garden! Super scrumptious Italian cuisine. You won't leave disappointed or still hungry! I love everything I've tried here but the Fagiole soup, Rice balls, and pasta Carbonara and the pizza are my favorites. read more

Benny's is my absolute favorite for Pizza take-out. I'll run by here when I'm on my way home from a shopping trip and grab a pie and the garlic knots. Love the garlic knots. The crust is really first rate and the toppings are quality. I've samples some of the pasta and it's pretty good as well. Better than decent quality for the price tag. read more

After being told we had he next available table and it would be several minutes, we were then told the table we were patiently waiting for has now turned into a reservation! We cannot seem to get good pizza anywhere in Venice. Ordered one pizza and asked for light sauce and extra cheese. Pizza came an hour and a half later extremely cold and looked like it had been sitting there the whole day. Paid for extra cheese and did not get anywhere near extra cheese. Sauce was heavy as well and pizza was soggy it seems like it was sitting there so long. It was better then Italianos pizza but that isn't saying much since that's tops the worst pizza we've ever had in our life. Definitely will never get anything from here ever again. read more

Started off with garlic knots. They came in a bowl settled with sauce that I could have bathed in. So good. Then my vegetarian husband and I split a pie. Half cheese half pepperoni. Was so good! I wanted to like this so much. The best part was the family working there. They were all happy, friendly and having a good time. We ordered pasta and everyone says the pizza is the stuff to get there, so we may try it again. Chicken parm and seafood capellini both had very mushy pasta, very watery sauce. HOW ANYONE CAN GIVE THIS PLACE LESS THAN 5 STARS IS BEYOND ME!!!!! Tonight I was being treated for a belated birthday. I had many dental issues in my birthday month, hence the delay. Michael was our wonderful and attentive waiter (cute too!!!) and of course in this place you just HAVE TO start with GARLIC KNOTS. In this place they are loaded with garlic and butter....yummy!!! My hosts ordered RAVIOLI for her, with a Caesar salad as her side and he wanted the EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA with a garden salad as his side. After all those garlic knots I was content to order the appetizer version of MUSSELS IN WHITE WINE SAUCE as my entree. Excellent!!! Everything was as good as expected and more. A tiny place in a tiny strip center south of Venice on the 41 Bypass. Look for the Bagel Shop next door owned by the same people. Family owned and I think all the employees are family. Loud, New York, not fancy, but great food. All homemade. Just go for the Spaghetti, then drool over the "specials" that the locals get that are not on the menu. read more

HOLY CANNOLI! Seriously, Bada Bing is heaven in a strip mall. Im sad it took my husband and I this long to find it ! It may not look like much from the outside, but please don't let that deceive you. Our meal there last night was some of the best Italian food I've had in years! We started with the garlic knots which were outstanding! Not great for the diet, but everyone needs a splurge every now and again! My husband wanted pizza, and I wanted pasta- so we compromised and ordered both we figured left overs would be lunch and dinner for a few days! The house salad that came with my pasta was a good size, we split it. Nothing special, but it worked. I had carbonara on ziti ( I love that they let you choose your pasta). It was fantastic. Rich, creamy, garlic-y. I was very impressed! My husband ordered a pizza with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni. My one complaint about every pizza place we've tried locally is either a bad house sauce or crust. Bada Bing has it all. The pizza was to die for, crispy and gooey- covered in cheese! We will be eating this meal for days. We split a cannoli ( my personal favorite) and it was perfection. This place can't be stopped. Have been looking for a good pizza place since moving here and have tried everything from the cheap to the expensive. We ordered takeout since delivery would have taken over an hour (which was fair since I called during prime dinner time). The restaurant is part of a strip of stores and would have been easy to miss if you weren't looking for it (and GPS). When I walked in there was a cozy feel and most of the tables were occupied with the dinner crowd. I noticed a few tables drinking wine with their dinner and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal. I had ordered a large pep, sausage and mushroom to go and with any new place I always order their garlic knots/rolls. It was hot and ready to go when I arrived. The staff was friendly and offered to bring my order to my car for me since I had a little one in tow. When we got home, the pizza was well covered with toppings so each bite had a bit of something. The crust was crusty with a good chew to it. Sauce was sweeter than salty and it was definite New York style as it was thin and you could fold it to eat it. The garlic knots were delicious. Now if you like your knots covered in garlic and oil then get this. It also came with a side of sauce which was sweet and complimented the salty garlic knots. We will be ordering from this place again and hope that they stay consistent and do not disappoint. Tip: dip your pizza crust in the garlic oil!!! read more

Wife and I moved to the area about 10 months ago and have been looking all over for good italian food... found it tonight at Benny's Bada Bing. Pizza was the best, by far, that I've had in Florida. Wife had pasta-fagioli soup... not the heavy, tomato base we're used to... very good, almost "buttery". I also had chicken parm... outstanding! The owner sat at the next table and gave me a good natured ribbing for eating pizza, salad, plus an dinner entree... and several garlic knots (OMG! Garlic butter heaven). I wanted to try a variety of dishes to see what the restaurant was like. It passed with all A's. The owner was a very pleasant, interesting character, the restaurant is simple, small, and comfortable, the service is attentive, fast but not "rushed", and the food is the best Italian I have had in a very long time. We drove to Venice from Port Charlotte just to try it, and we will be back often. read more

Use to be our favorite Sat nite with niece and nephew but after finding Angelos on Pinebrook off East venice Ave we will never go back .Bennys is extremely dirty ,floor,chairs,tables and the owners clothes. Fairly new to area and have been looking for a good pizza. We found it. Thin, crusty & piping hot. Also tried the mussels and thought they were very good. Took friends to Bada Bing last night, a first for all of us. BIG mistake. Waitress: indifferent with a big ATTITUDE. She should have stayed home; we wished we had, too. Food: mediocre -- pasta fagiolo very salty; fried calamari was tasteless and rubbery; chicken Marsala very sweet; chicken parm and ziti were so-so. The garlic knots were yum-yum; the restaurant might consider closing down and reopening as a bakery to focus on those.
