I needed the drainage pipe from my bathroom replaced. Bob came out quickly and repaired for a reasonable price. He thought the drain was still running slow, snaked it, and got a hairball. I think we'll be very happy. Kroll Construction was here doing a bathroom update 4 years ago, saw the problem, told us we'd have to replumb the whole house to fix it, so put on a bandage. They charged $200 for a crappy job, Bob Bennett charged $400 to fix the whole problem, and it did NOT require changes to the whole plumbing system. I will use Bob for my future plumbing needs. read more

this is my go to plumber. they did an addition for me. no problems 3 years later. highly recommend.

Say they will call and schedule to come out and big shocker they never call. I will never bother trying to use them again. Sticking with McCarthy! read more

Had a problem with my AC unit which they fixed. Some time later did not receive an invoice in the mail. I see today that they had filed a small claims lawsuit against my fiancée rather than contact me, or send me a bill. Do not deal with these people unless you want to deal with a lady over the phone that needs an attitude adjustment. They have a very lazy secretary with good workers. She mentioned that lots of people call with this same problem, but apparently it hasn't been addressed. Total bitch over the phone. read more

Had them install a dishwasher in June 2019. Today, it will not drain. Called to have them come out and look at it. Plumber was rude and mumbled to me he does not fix dishwashers and to call an appliance company. Told him the dishwasher is working and it is a draining issue. Took pictures and showed another plumber who informed me the dishwasher drain is set up wrong. NO WARRANTY ON YOUR WORK? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! DO NOT CALL THEM!!!! read more

Fantastic service!! I had a pipe bust under my basement floor I called them and they came the next day! Very professional, friendly and reasonably priced. They even mopped my floor when they were done! Thank you so much Bennet Plumbing your number is on my speed dial!! read more

On a Monday I called the office number and was referred to the plumber's cell number so I called left a message. Didn't hear back so like ok he is busy. On Wednesday I get call saying he would able to come over on Thursday morning to see. I said ok and gave my info and he said he would call in morning on when he was coming. Thursday morning at 8 got a call stating on his way. Pulled up in a unmarked van and introduced himself, Jim and also colleague Tom. Came in and saw the pipe said this sewage pipe would needed to be replace all the way up to kitchen ceiling from the basement and they would need more time to do this and he would call about a quote on Friday. I wasn't charged a diagnostic/ service fee so that a plus. But as the business hours on Friday passed by I didn't receive a call. So I can assume he got busy and forgot. That was ok since I call a few other companies. read more

My kitchen sink was draining slowly till I finally had to start bailing the water out. Called Bennett Plumbing and Bob Bennett responded. I was charged $125.00 for the first visit but his 25 foot snake was too short. The next day he appeared with a 50 foot snake and after failing to resolve the issue, gave the diagnostic that the this snake was also insufficient in length to cut through tree roots he claimed was obstructing the piping. Two months later I hired another company that ran a 100 foot snake and a camera through the relevant piping. I discovered thay my drains were clear and the diagnostics Bennett gave were false. My problem was a pipe just below the sink that is also like a vent. Reported Bob Bennett to the Better Business Bureau but Mr. Bennett didn't respond. Consumer Beware! Mr.Bennett may be more adept at scamming unsuspecting people than he is at opening drains. read more

My Daddy recommended calling Jim when my home needed some plumbing repairs. He had worked with Jim for years. GREAT experience. He talked to me respectfully and explained several options for the repair. He was also incredibly affordable and didn't go for the big repair just to make money. He gave me options and timing and next steps so I could make an educated decision. Everything went smooth and timely and finished at exactly the price he quoted me so not unexpected charges like some other contractors have pulled. He worked hard, fast and efficient and left me good about the update to the plumbing in my home. He's at the top of my phone book! read more

Bennett just did some work for me on a gas line in my house. They've done a lot of work for my parents in the past and my parents were always pleased. To make a long story short, they did a great job and were about $300 cheaper for a job that I had another plumbing company quote. In fact, the other plumbing company said they would have to drill a hole through my back wall and run the pipe outside and then back in the house, costing the extra bucks. Not so, said Bennet. They kept the pipe in the house and did a great job, saving me $300. Everything is working and I'm happy. You will be too if you use Bennett Plumbing in Dearborn. read more

Very good experience all around, and I chose to call Bennett based on Clayton C.'s review (after a Google search for reviews of plumbers in Dearborn Heights). My repair need was a gas leak in the basement, and they provided a pressure test and fixed the leak. Good communications, service was above average (they replaced some extraneous/antiquated hardware) and the price was right in the range of what I'd anticipated. Feel confident calling Jim Bennett, and have your check book ready. read more

Horrible deceptive company. My mother is 88 years old. She is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever known and nope, I'm not even a mama's boy. This company came in, a guy named Robert. My mom believes it is all family. all with the last name of Bennett. She has dealt with a man named Frank Bennett before. whether they are or not I don't know but this guy " Robert " told her he gets his bathroom faucets from Dukes. Told my mother it was a Delta. The bill totaled $167 for as many of you know, a job that takes all of about 5 minutes tops. On the bill there is no mention of brand-name at all. It also says $10 labor meaning that unfortunately the faucet cost $157 but hey, we're so nice were only charging you $10 labor. There was not one marking of any kind on the faucet. After looking online for about 20 minutes I found what I believe to be the faucet sold at Walmart I believe by ordering for $12.95. When I went to operate the two separate knobs they actually flexed as if they were on plastic rods. Pushing a little harder would have busted it right off. I just can't believe that a company would be so deceitful and take advantage of especially somebody that they don't believe would know any difference. A sweet elderly woman who wouldn't hurt a fly. . If I could give them a negative star I would....horrible company....a while back they installed a tub enclosure and did some other work to my parents home...the enclosure is coming apart and if you could see the heating vent and tub faucet they are so crooked it cannot be fixed without ripping everything out and starting over again...never again EVER!! read more

I called Bennett today after my attempts to clear a clogged sink drain failed. Their equipment was broken, but they referred me to the guy at Muskett Sewer Cleaning, who came out within an hour. The problem turned out to be too big for Muskett to fix, but he didn't charge me at all for coming out. Finally, after my landlord decided to use somebody he knew to replace the pipe, Bennett still gave me a free estimate of what it ought to cost, just so I knew what to expect. So, even though I didn't end up needing their plumbing services (yet), their customer service is obviously excellent and their recommendations are trustworthy. I'll be sure to call them if I ever have a problem I can use them for. read more

I have used Bennett twice, once to replace the garbage disposal and once to replace the hot water heater. Both experiences were good ones with no call backs. I would use them again and recommend them to others. I don't think their prices are any more or any less than other contractors. read more

I've had Bennet in my home quite a few times and have always been happy with them. The last time they were here they put in a hot water tank. I mentioned to him that the caulking around the new toilet he had done several years ago was looking kinda sad and he went to the bathroom and recaulked the toilet. He does an absolutely beautiful job. They came to me with a really good recommendation and I can't say anything different. read more

I'm in hot water. Yea! That's a good thing. Bennett Plumbing & Heating came to my rescue and replaced my broken water heater. I called at 8am and the job was done by midday. Very helpful, professional, and neat. Last year they were the subcontractor on a major job I had done on my house, and I also contracted them to replace a furnace/AC unit. I would definitely recommend them. read more

First off, I'll start by saying I haven't had work done by these guys. However, I got left stranded. I had them quote the job and originally picked someone else who fell through. Then, I went back to Bennett the Friday before Memorial day and let him know of final changes to the quote. No work from them until I started pestering them on Tuesday, and received the final quote on Tuesday at 6 PM. Mind you, this job was supposed to start Wednesday. Asked for a copy of license and insurance to double check their statements, and never received them. Also asked him to sign my contract (3 pgs) in addition to me signing his, and never heard from him again. Left me stranded on the day he was supposed to start without any phone call or information and I've got some plumbing work that was URGENT to be done today. Well... see what I get for trying to do my homework? I don't know if I could have been more screwed if I tried imagining scenarios. read more
