Good company with good management. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Had air duct cleaning done + air conditioning inspection on 2 properties so far read more

On January 31, 2026 When we experienced several days of sub zero weather the furnace went out and we called Mechanical Heating and Cooling to access my furnace which had stopped heating the home. The technician came out and said he couldn't properly diagnose the issue because the inducer motor trap and secondary heated exchanger was filled with ice and they couldn't properly diagnose it until the furnace thawed. The technician said twice that if I called back within 30 Days we wouldn't have to pay an additional $99 service fee. The $99 service fee we paid on January 31 would cover the 2nd visit cause they couldn't properly diagnose the problem. I called mechanical heating on February 23, and was told I would have to pay an additional $99 for the technician to come back out. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me they would not honor what the technician told us because it was not their policy and they didn't care what he said that I would have to pay another $99. And when I challenged them, they yelled at me and hung up On me. I didn't call back because it was useless, but not only the tech that came out but the manager that I spoke with Were , both rude and disrespectful. When the tech came out, I had to stop the tech from talking down to me and to listen to the questions that I had and the manager was yelling at me over the phone saying he wasn't gonna pay shit. A lot of companies don't operate with integrity these days and some of them look down on you depending on the condition of your home and a lot of them overcharge you in the first place because they know you don't have that skill set. I'm just so sick and tired of dealing with unethical, rude disrespectful technicians. It took me a while to write this because it was so traumatic. I didn't expect it. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Service was fast their techs are proficient at their job plus their service agreement is well worth it for furnace and ac maintenance spring and fall they stand behind their work. Been with them over 15 years haven't had a complaint yet. In closing mechanical is a great value considering the costs of equipment and parts labor plus the laws regarding freon in the units and their replacement. read more

On June 9, 2026 they repaired my AC and said it was a loose wire. I work up on June 12th with no AC. Calling them out again. Twice in one week to work on equipment that is less than 6 months old. read more

Posting this for my grandmother. She said Luke came out to perform a check up on her air conditioner, he did a great job and he was really friendly. Based on this alone, I will be calling them in the future for any related services. Thanks guys, I really appreciate you looking out for her. read more

Horrible experience. Not cheap. 10 days to get a functioning AC installed from start to finish.

Do not buy their extended service agreement/maintenance package. It is an expensive waste of money. Mechanical installed our residential hvac units two years ago and they did fine work. Mechanical been coming out and charging us about $100 every six months to service the equipment. First time we called about an issue...it is not covered. Whaa...whaaaaaa. read more

I Think I called you 3 or 4 times as my 36 year old Carrier took it last gasps. Because of the service contract I bought; the multiple visits didn't cost me anything extra. When it became apparent that dumping money into my unit was a fools errand, I set up installation of a new Carrier for the following week. Your guys (Dan and Jason?) arrived promptly and began working just as a 3 1/2 hour soaking rain began. They were pleasant throughout even though the area where the unit was to be installed turned into a quagmire. They cleaned up a shoddy job by my furnace installers while taking care of the furnace room part of the project. Net/Net I had a great experience with your company from top to bottom. When I expressed concern that the timing of service call might delay my installation, I got above and beyond reassurance via chat that you guys understood and were on top of if. And you were. I will hold onto my service contract and my new HVAC service company. Bravo, Mechanical! read more

Tom and Josh arrived on time to install our new Carrier furnace. Tom had been to our home in July, 2017, to install our new air conditioner. He remembered our job and I was thankful because I had requested those installers, if possible, for this job. They got right to work. Upon completion, Tom took me outside to review the chimney and location of the exhaust pipes. Once inside he went over the details of the furnace. Paperwork reviewed and out they went. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. The furnace is noticeable quieter and comfortably warm. Thank you Mechanical Heating & Cooling. We are again a happy customer! PS: It was wonderful working with Joel in writing up the estimate. I also appreciated the kindness of the young lady calling to confirm the appointments. You folks are awesome! read more

DON'T CALL THIS COMPANY!! I unfortunately made an appointment with this company thinking it was another company that I had researched online with a good rating. When I received a reminder call the night before imagine my horror it was another company with a horrific rating. Sleepless night because of what I read online about this company and I had already paid for the fall and spring special they offered. One of the reviews turned out to be my problem also. I had made appointment for a Saturday, they were to show up between 8am-2pm. Well here I sit 2:25pm they were a no call no show just like someone else had posted on Yelp. Time to call my credit card company and see if I can cancel transaction. DON'T CALL THIS COMPANY!! read more

Pros: To be fair, they showed up and fixed the problem (AC out). Cons: Charged $325 to replace a $10 capacitor you can buy at any Home Depot. Charges were: $79 just to show up and look at it, $148 for the part which costs $10, and $98 for less than 30 min of labor. Will not be calling these guys again. read more

The best. I have used several heating and cooling companies over the years of the 2005 installation of my Lockinvar boiler. Mechanical was to only company that gave me the straight dope. There were several smaller problems that Keith took care of during the cleaning. The cleaning was major. Had not had it cleaned since the insulation in 2005. Then he balanced out all the specifications. It is running great. Mechanical did a great job. Particularly Keith. read more

I've used this company for several years in Dearborn, always great. When I had a scheduling problem this year, they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. Really impressed because honestly I have never seen a company actually follow through on customer service after a problem! They were also very thorough and patient when my partner had a multitude of questions about the system. I very much appreciate that :) :) read more

Requested an estimate for a ductless heating and cooling system for my upstairs. Guy came out Monday last week and said I would have an estimate by late last week. It is now Thursday, this week and still haven't heard from them. I've never found it so hard trying to give people money. read more

came to my home and told me i needed a new compressor for $1500, or better yet an entire new system for $2900. i called another company and was up and running in 10 minutes for $150.. times are tough, but don't scam people because you think they won't find you out.. shame on you.. no way to run a business you are in the "hall of shame"..... read more

Jeff Installed a new furnace, air conditioner, and thermostat for my aunt and dad. They would leave the review but unfortunately, they are not the best using a computer :-) Both my aunt and father had nothing but great things to say about the entire install. Both gentleman who were there were polite, informative and customer orientated. They were very pleased and happy they decided to go with Mechanical Heating & Cooling. read more

My fiancé and i just moved into this neighborhood and we noticed we had a brand new furnace and a brand new central air unit . When the gas company came out to turn on this furnace on it didn't work I called mechanical heating and cooling which is not far from where I live and a guy named Chris came to service us well, Chris was very friendly and he got to the point in no time what happened is the control panel was damaged because at one time there was a flood he went and got the new control panel and he was back in no time I am ever so grateful that the price was not as much as I thought. read more

I absolutely know that Chris was on time and professional but my issue is that I made and appointment because the I was turning on the heat but it would not stay on so I have no idea about how this works so I make appointment so mechanical could come out to tell me what's wrong so chris suggests that it's the furnace but this was in june it was acting up in the winter time but because of the pandemic I waited for things to get better so in June he put and new thermostat in and because it was june I didn't need heat so I go to turn on the heat on Oct and it's doing the same thing so I call them back like hey I paid u to come out and tell me what's wrong and that I'm having the same issue and paid u so what can u do because my issue was never resolved and the twi ladies was not compassionate at all very rule arguing with me like what do u want me to do so at the point I'm done with this company I feel like they did not care to help correct the problem at all or even suggest nothing!!!! read more

I bought my house last year in October. My aging AC died this summer. I knew it wasn't going to be repairable since it sounded like it threw a rod. Anyway I called Mechanical Heating and Cooling first because they had a service history sticker on my furnace showing service calls dating back 10 years, which means the previous homeowner put a lot of trust in these people so I wished to stay with a company that had some experience with this house. Their technician showed up right on time, and told me exactly what the problem was, and setup and appointment with their sales person/estimator for a new AC unit. He showed up right on time as well and gave me an offer on a new AC unit far better than I was expecting. I ended up also upgrading the AC unit to 2.5 ton from the old 2 ton unit. They came and replaced the AC unit, and matched evaporator coil with brand new Carrier unit. The last AC used to take hours to go down 2 degrees, this new AC took my 1500 sqft ranch down 3 degrees in half an hour. They replaced the pad with a new one since the new AC is twice the size of the last one, ran new wiring and new piping for condensation pump. Overall, excellent experience. I paid cash for my job, but they did offer a zero interest payment plan. I will stay with MHC, they're good people. read more

My blower motor went out so I call for a fix it was after hours so I expected to pay more for the service call. $99.00 reg price $149 after hours ok with that. Was told I needed a new blower motor and was ok with that. The technician was great and did a good job and was fast getting to my house as well as doing the job ,got my furnace up and running. What I'm not ok with is the total job was just under $700 dollars but when you have no heat at 13 below zero you get the thing fixed. Looked up the part on line because the technician left the box that the part came in out of curiosity and it was $100 to $130 dollars free shipping. I know mechanical heating and cooling is in business to make money I'm all for that but I think that's a little ridiculous almost $700 for $100 part installed that's wrong I told rip off. Way overpriced but I didn't have a choice I need to get a fix but I will definitely look elsewhere the next time I need a furnace repair I can't believe how bad I got ripped off by this big company. I hope they reach out to me and tell me why this repair was so expensive the tech told me the motor was $500 that's a big mark up. read more

Over-priced, inexperienced technicians, very unprofessional. I have never felt so cheated in my life, I called Mechanical to fix my furnace when it was literally freezing outside, the technician came two hours late and gave me an attitude. I told me that I needed a new furnace, which would cost around $1200.00. I asked why, and he responded, "every major component in your furnace needs to be replaced, so might as well buy a new one." He charged me $120 for that advice. He was sketchy and unprofessional. The following day, I called another local heating and cooling to get a second opinion. It turns out, I need a new ignitor which cost only $25!! I simply replaced the ignitor and low and behold, my furnace was working like a charm. Replace the entire furnace? Ha, I don't think so Mechanical. I strongly suggest that nobody calls Mechanical for any future service. read more

0 stars. We have done business with these folks for more than 20 years. Never again. Called today because our furnace was not working, the woman who answered the phone told me she didn't have an appointment for me. (Not even something like, "I'm sorry our next appointment isn't until next Tuesday.") I asked her what was I supposed to do? She told me "call some local companies I guess". I did. RECKINGERS will be the company I call from now on. read more

We prepaid last year and ended up having to call them to schedule Spring service. After they missed the initial 12-5 promised time, we were called close to 8 pm that day, which was unacceptable. After rescheduling for another 12-5 time slot, I made sure I was home for when the technician arrived. My husband got two calls from them within a few minute period while he was at work and couldn't answer but called them right back once he could and our appointment was cancelled because 'the techs can only be held for 10 minutes.' My husband then demanded a refund and was told all discounts would be revoked from the initial service they provided as per 'company policy.' I will never use them or recommend them to anyone! Horrible service! read more

Mechanical Heating & Cooling is the best which is why I have been with this company for years. Oscar was here today for my annual furnace and humidifier inspection. He is punctual, professional and polite!!!! I will definitely request him again!!! Although my furnace and AC are only a little over a year old, Mechanical Heating & Cooling took care of me many times when my old furnace was in the dying stages!!!! Jeff Lee is the best also and his Fox 2 How To segments are very enjoyable and informative!!!! read more

It was 90 degrees, my A/C was blowing hot air no one was available for weeks......except for Mechanical. I made an appointment for a Saturday on the holiday weekend and they showed up as promised. I found this company online and took a chance to have them come service a leak in my furnace. My husband and I were so pleased! Chris C was amazing and the secretary was very polite and helpful. They came the same day a few hours after I called and they fixed the problem quickly. Chris was patient and explained to us what he was doing and answered all of our questions about how to care better for our furnace. He was very honest and knowledgeable. It was a great experience. Thank you so much. Highly recommend this company. read more

Our installers worked in sub zero temperatures to get our new furnace/air conditioning system installed. They arrived on time and did their work efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. They demonstrated our new digital thermostat and downloaded an app for us to use on our phone. The salesperson from Mechanical was knowledgeable and responsive to all of our questions. read more

We went through several boiler repair companies. They charged us all sorts of money and never fixed the problem. We spent Thanksgiving in a freezing house. Chris at Mechanical Heating & Cooling identified the problem right away, fixed it, and the price was extremely reasonable. I cannot say enough about this company, especially when working with senior citizens. They are fair and honest. I hope Chris gets a raise! read more
