I received a quick response to my project request for airflow issues (no airflow) and inconsistent cycling. However, the technician let me know after the visit that he forgot his camera scope and would have to return to check the airflow. I paid $231.39 to be told they can't yet diagnose my issues. And I would have to pay an additional $50 plus labor to have a return visit to bring his scope camera to check for airflow issues and a quote for the service, if discovered. I understand companies are looking for ways to stay afloat in this economy but taking advantage of customers is not the way to do it. read more

After discussing the problem over the phone, we decided to schedule service call for the next morning. The service technician showed up 5 minutes early, clearly identified himself, reviewed the problem, identified the cause and made a very nice repair quickly. There was no large add on sale pitch, or beating around the bush trying to make the problem appear bigger than it truly was. Shawn and Drew are some of the best technicians I have worked with. We moved into a new home a year ago and, as a result, inherited the older HVAC system. One night, the system began restarting itself, not efficiently or effectively heating our home, and constantly running. We called Dean Mechanical the next morning and they were able to get someone over within 24 hours to take a look at it. Doug was super friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. He didn't try to scam us into buying something or updating something we weren't ready to do already. I've had encounters with so many different companies who push and insist on purchasing packages or doing things I'm not ready to do. Doug made us feel very comfortable and was very trustworthy. Turns out, a spider had made it's nest in a less than ideal place which messed with something. He helped to clean it out and simply charged us for his time. It was fast and very painless. This has been a nightmare. We have had this company out 6 times before we got a resolution. We paid over $1000 in fees for freezing cold house. We got a second opinion, and found out our pressure switch had been broken by this company. Their office staff also accused us of breaking our own pressure switch(causing the heat to not work) and it was not their fault (when they were the only ones that touched anything) and could've been fixed easily. Instead their guy SAM came and provided us with an insanely expensive quote for a new furnace! It's funny he was quick to say "once you commit ill get you heat" Probably because he broke the switch himself, and knew how easy of a fix it was and wanted to get a sale, even though he knew we had a BABY in the house freezing!!!! I feel so tricked by this company and WILL never recommend them to anyone!!!! read more

My wife and I just bought and new house and needed to replace the heating and cooling systems. We worked with Shaun who walked us through the different types of heating and cooling systems and helped us choose the best for our budget. They came out during the week and got both systems installed in less than 2 days. They were friendly, cleaned up after themselves, and showed us how to perform the regular maintenance in the systems when they were done. This company has consistently shown their inability to do their job. The growing laundry list of problems spanning from their technicians to their rude staff members that work in the office has reluctantly made me unsatisfied enough to write a review. They are unwilling to do anything to make our lives easier, and won't do the simple tasks of talking with our home warranty about the problems we've been having. We paid them top dollar for a heat exchanger replacement, (more than $1000.00 in LABOR for a job that took him 1 hour) and they came out and said it was completed, only to have the heater non functioning immediately after they left. Why didn't they investigate if it had fixed the problem? Furthermore, they told us "tough luck" when we called asking why our newly serviced system wasn't working, and wanted to charge us AGAIN for them to come out and take a look. (After they had just left our home with a furnace that wasn't working correctly). Greedy, unhelpful, disappointing, and unprofessional would be some words I'd use to describe them. Wow! What a great experience! We had to replace the boiler in our new home and had never lived in a home with a boiler before. We received a few quotes that left us pretty stressed. The companies didn't really ask us questions about what we needed or wanted just told us we really needed to replace it with a high efficiency boiler. Our neighbor who is a contractor told us about Dean Mechanical, who he uses for all of his heating and cooling. After a call to Dean and a quick return call from Beth, we had an appointment for a consultation. Dean came out and did a very thorough consultation. Dean explained ALL of our options and informed us that for our situation a high efficiency boiler wasn't required and that we could be just as efficient with a two stage operating boiler for a good bit less than the other company had recommended after a 5 minute conversation. Shaun and Drew did the installation and Dean was there a good bit of the time as well. They were friendly, informative, sweet to our animals and professional. Before they left they went over the system and how it operated to make sure we didn't have any questions. A few weeks after the job was done, we received a card in the mail thanking us for choosing them. Dean Mechanical, top to bottom is a class act! I cannot recommend this company enough!
