This review is a very quick shoutout to Ariel for helping me with the right shades of white (one for my kitchen drawer panels and the other for the bathroom vanity panels). I got them the panel boards (one from each, to match the paint) on Thursday evening and was able to pick them on Saturday morning and the paint came out to be just perfect. She had left detailed steps for the entire process (since i had messed up the drawer panels and needed to get rid of the old paint before setting the new one in) which i definitely appreciated. Kevin as usual being super helpful, guided me with the options for a couple of foam rollers, hand held pails and a few other accessory items that i needed for my project. All in all a fantastic experience and absolutely recommend the store for all your paint needs. read more

This location seems just fine in terms of stock and a well- lit spot to look at colors, but the half pint paint samples were a little more expensive here than at another Benjamin Moore store just a few miles away, and the color selection help was more limited. read more

Went in after receiving a coupon in the mail for free color samples and was surprised by a few things: - Coupon doesn't work on color match samples - Color match is at least a pint size - Takes at least 2 days to do the color match Home Depot, Lowes, SW, etc can do it right away and they have the small color sample sizes. I think the sales person was just trying to upsell me in order to fulfill her monthly quota. I get that we're all trying to make money in this economy but don't waste people's time. Shopping for wallpaper can be overwhelming but the girls can direct you to certain books that fit your design vision. We purchased designer wallpaper from them on two occasions. Both of our accent walls came out stunning. Our house decor is unique with the two beautiful accent walls. The wallpaper is modern yet elegant. I have been going to Benjamin Moore Creative Paint on Camden Avenue for many years. The customer service is outstanding. Both Ariel and Matt have helped me a great deal in selecting paint colors. I bring photos and samples (e.g., tile, bedding, fabric) to the store and Ariel helps me select the best colors for my project. Matt is usually at another store location but he has done a terrific job in custom matching paint. They are both fabulous!!! They have a great eye for color. Complete disregard for customer service by the store manager. I came in a rush 10 minutes before closing to select a paint as my painter advised last minute they would prefer Ben Moore over Behr and they start painting my cabinets tomorrow morning. I chose some samples and asked for Arielle's advice for one other gray color. She said "I'm closed, I can't help you". It wasn't only the words used but the tone and the attitude behind it. I've never been treated with such disregard. She advised she is the store manager. I'm working from home with two kids distant learning and if I could have come in earlier, I surely would have. I have shopped at this paint store for many years and have worked with Ariel and Steve in the past and they have been very helpful. Unfortunately, Steve has moved and currently working are Dave and Matthew and neither of them are helpful in selecting paint colors nor do they want to try and help. It is very disappointing... makes me wonder if they really want to try and sell paint. I think they simply want to mix and go. They have full range of Benjamin Moore paint, offer contractor pricing to everybody on Aura, and give out large color chip samples to play with, while you decide. I called around, their Aura pricing is the best from all the other BM stores in the area. Service people are attentive and patient. If I were to dock them for anything, is for not having every color I desire in a $3 sample size but given thousands of color combinations BM offers I guess that might be too much to expect :( UPDATED: Just when I thought I couldn't love this place more - they will make you a custom color. So when you have no idea what you want they'll talk to you and make you a custom blend to try out. Same price! read more

Add to my previous review, I noticed that they charged the same exact product with different prices. For one GL ceiling paint, one day is $43.19 GL and next day is $47.99 GL. I specifically asked for the same thing when I made the purchases. On the receipts, they have the same number. Price difference is not huge, just very confusing. read more

I thought we had very friendly and helpful advice when I purchased supplies for a painting project. The manager looked up the specs for the crystalline waterproofing wall coating I was painting to see if it needed a primer. He even had the primer tinted to make covering easier. Later, when I discovered I mistakenly got the wrong paint color, the manager was nice about exchanging of the unopened finish coat cans, though he was unable to accommodate the an exchange of the unopened tinted primer cans. Was given some awesome customer service at creative paint. When it came to matching an existing color - they were dead on! Also, they have a great eye when it comes to color and how it reads. For example, one swatch they said had a little blue in the "misty gray" sample from Benjamin Moore - and when we painted all walls - yes it sure did have a little blue. My reason for the 3 star is that they do not price anything in the store, so you can't go in and compare brushes or rollers or anything without waiting to ask someone how much everything is. The cheapest roller is actually in the middle, not on the bottom....I feel like I was a marketing experiment, trying to get me to buy something. Almaden Paint and Wallpaper is the best. They have a great eye for color, guiding you towards what you want. They do custom colors, teach painting techniques if you ask questions (not in a class setting, but at the counter), all of the employees are great to work with, they have large paint "chips" for all of their colors that they will let you take home, and they do small paint samples of any color you want to see. I've been using them for the last eight years and have never felt like I should go somewhere else for help. They're so knowledgeable, personable, and "friendly" professional. We ordered blinds from Creative Paint and when I tried to install them it became apparent that they were the wrong width. Sometimes problems happen but one of my measures of a store is how they resolve them. These guys immediately contacted the manufacturer, had the correct blinds expedited, followed up with us to ensure we were aware of when they new blinds would arrive, followed up with the manufacturer to make sure our order was given priority, contacted us when the delivery didn't arrive as planned, etc. Superb service and customer care.
