I had a tricky supply line pumping job up in Silver Creek. Given distance and traffic, I knew I'd have only 1 shot at getting the job right or the customer would have gone without water for a second day. None of the parts were available locally at Home Depot, my go-to, because I needed an odd-size, 1-1/4. So I went to Rubenstein's a bought 600+ dollars of parts, and I told the counter guys "this stuff is probably all coming back, I wish you had a restocking fee because it's only fair that I pay for borrowing the parts." they just waved me off and assured me come on back we'll take care of you. At the end of the day, only the most expensive part, the valve, and 1 other part was needed to close up the line, finish the job, and put a smile on my customer's face. Two days later, I returned everything else and the guys were unfailingly upbeat and helpful. For a plumbing store, in this particular situation, this is unusual. Came to buy a simple shower cartridge thats sold $20 on amazon, but wanted same day for hot water. They found the part and didn't scan but instead went to back to ask supervisor for price. Charged $70, i didn't even mind knowing so because they helped me find me the part I thought would fit. I doubled checked with employee 2x that I could return if its not a fit. Returned it because it caused my warm water to be just cold. They straight up said no because i installed it. I had them ask the manager twice and he came out said no, he didn't listen to anything and just said employee informed me I can't return it when i purchased it. So scammy, I didn't reply. Just left and even left the cartridge, manager replied with a snarky attitude "thank you!" Didn't care much for the money and would never come back and will refer all friends and family not to visit. There's some confusion on their operating hours. If you are there to pick up, you can enter through their small pickup department to the right of the store and they open at 8am. But if you are there for the showroom or to talk to the sales people, the show room opens at 10am. When we got there it was 9:15am, so we waited outside and as the time went, more people lined up as they all thought they opened at 8. Once inside, the sales people are very friendly and nice. Kyle helped me out given my contact was on vacation. They are not on commission base, so there's less selling pressure. He showed me all the fixtures, the bidet options, the sink and their bathroom could be double used as a showroom. You can certainly try the bidet setup there to get a feel of an upgrade from the normal toilet. I like the sink they carry which is Toto and the maintenance is easy. Kyle was detail-oriented and he even discussed the option of having the overflow drain on the inside or facing the outside. After the discussion, once he puts a quote together for the items we were interested in, the rest could be done via email. So after shopping around, we emailed him about what we wanted and asked more questions for other items' specs. Everything was done on email and was convenient. After we finalize the decisions and Kyle put in the sales order, I just need to call them to pay with credit card. The whole process is seamless. My husband scheduled an appointment with Sonya to look at toilets, heated floor systems, and steam room options. When I arrived for the appointment, I was greeted by a receptionist near the front door who was surprisingly rude and unwelcoming. I explained that I had an appointment with Sonya, but Sonya immediately seemed dismissive and told me I wasn't actually meeting with her and would be working with someone else instead. I was then assisted by Kevin, who showed me around the showroom. I was genuinely interested in purchasing two of their higher-end toilets, as well as getting pricing for a steam shower system and heated floors. Kevin told me he would email me a quote within 10 minutes since I couldn't stay any longer. Three days later, I still haven't received anything. I even followed up the same day to make sure he had my email address correct, but there has been no response. I walked in ready to spend a significant amount of money and expected a level of service that matched the products they sell. Went to Rubinstein Supply to buy a kitchen faucet. Expected a bunch of snooty high end home improvement people and over the top expensive stuff. Actually they have a pretty nice array of prices and offerings from entry level Delta Faucets to $2000+ kitchen faucets. I was helped by John who was excellent. Everyone here is super nice and I wish I had more time to explore. I was treated like a paying customer and people communicated with me and helped me with options instead of just standing around staring at their phones which is what you usually get. First time reviewing a plumbing supply company. I had been searching for a part for my toilet. This place has had the part. Other reviews stated that they could find the parts cheaper online. Rubenstein had the parts for half the price of what was listed online. The only downside was that I had to pick up the part. Not a big deal as it was somewhat near my job. I went to the will call to pick up the part. The man working behind the counter instructed me to go to the front desk,he was polite and said if they don't have it to come back. She has made good recommendations and is very knowledgeable and has aesthetic sense. She knows allot about all the brands and particularites of each product. A neighbor told me about this place and I have gone there 3 times now and it's always been worth the drive. Heath, manager at Rubenstein Supply, was most helpful to me in finding the right toilet to replace my old Case 3200 model from 1972. I tried several other sources and had no good luck. Several plumbers did not show much interest in helping me when they heard that it is a wall mounted toilet in a residential home. Also I was pleasantly surprised to see that Rubenstein sold to be as a retail customer/user since they advertise as a wholesaler who sells to plumbers. Heath also provided the names of two plumbers who have done business with Rubenstein for more than 10 years. I contacted the first on the list and found a potential plumber for life! I will write that review up separately. The company is selling Han Grohe plumbing supplies touting their lifetime warranty. The reality is that Hans Grohe customer service is non existent. No one answers the customer service call. I have tried to leave a voicemail, which is full. Emails are not acknowledged. As a result, I have wasted huge time trying to just reach the company let alone have them replace my faulty faucet. Everyone is so friendly, and helpful, from the front desk ladies, to the very knowledgeable manager, to the sales staff. I highly recommend our sales rep Kyle Vaught, he's exceptional! On our first visit we walked the store with Kyle and he kept a running list of everything we thought we liked, and needed. There was no pressure to buy, and before we left the store he gave us a print out of everything he had tracked for us. It's been a long time since I had such a good experience with a store that I thought I would take the time to write about it. I ran in to Rubenstein's early afternoon looking for parts to replace the shutoff valve under the kitchen sink. I had started with Rafael Lumber and then Jacksons. I guess three really is the charm because I showed the guy behind the counter the same picture I had shown the other two guys and told him what my plans were and he immediately "got it" and shuffled off to get the parts. He came back with the exact set up I had pictured. Then I asked him for longer washer hoses and he rang me up and I was out of there. Licitly split! I love when that happens and it doesn't happen often enough. Other two stores had employees who didn't seem very interested in finding a solution for me. They just told me what I wanted didn't exist. Luckily the second guy at Rafael Lumber to help me told me to go to Rubensteins. Great quality and their pricing is lower than if you try to buy the same items online. I looked every item I bought online and couldn't find it cheaper than rubensteins. Truly one of the worst experiences I have had from any company while going through the remodeling process. The salesmen do not take the time to explain anything to you but rush you through the process. They do not listen to you while you are making changes to your initial order. Make sure look through the invoice carefully because I found a lot of mistakes on mine and only after escalating it to the manager did they get resolved in a timely manner. I thought that would be the end of my problems but after the manager scheduled my delivery and got it confirmed on the call it was moved to a different day without any notification. After spending 5k+ on supplies you would expect them to be able to give you decent customer service but it is truly sad the experience I have had here. I would not recommend them to anyone or use them again ever in the future for any needs that I have. read more

Such a fantastic experience, and an outstanding store! We felt lucky to work with Gib Smart, although he kept telling us that he is part of a team, and that his attitude merely reflects the culture of the store. The store had a huge selection of fixtures, tubs, toilets, and their pricing was extremely competitive. I was pleasantly surprised by Gib's approach. I felt like I was talking with a knowledgeable friend whose goal was to help us. I hate shopping, especially for tubes and pipes, but Gib made the experience enjoyable. We never felt pressured to buy. Gib made sure to understand our needs, our budget and even our esthetics, and then made great recommendations, giving us several choices. Not a great experience with this business despite high expectations initially. My wife and I stopped by twice at this store for our bathroom remodeling projects. It was very crowded on Sat - a good sign which reassured our feeling that we were at the right store. We skipped talking to a sales rep that day due to the long wait time and decided to come again during the week. Thats what we did on Monday morning and talked to a sales representative Tim Acosta. He was helpful in getting us to create a list of items for our guest bathroom. He said he will get us a quote with all the items by end of Tue. Why they can't tell you prices right away in the 21'st century is a question in of itself (No price tag on any of the items they sell). We said okay, we'll wait another day. I called the store twice since then. Been told that a message for him will be left on my behalf by other personnel responding to calls. In addition, I emailed Tim directly asking for our quote. Guess what?? Still no response, and today is end of business day Friday. What a monumental let down of a new customer. It is 5 items for God's sake. It took me 15 mins to find them online and get a sense of what they cost. We are taking our business elsewhere.
