My project is an outdoor bench with flowerbeds made with redwood and we wanted a nice dark stain with good outdoor protection. Anthony helped us find the right stain for the wood, recommended a clear coat, and made sure it was exactly what we wanted. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and a pleasure to talk with. Strongly recommended. read more

From what I understand the staff is good. My problem was getting a sample color in Morgan Hill didn't match the swatch, ok I get that. But getting the same paint on Blossom Hill was a TOTALLY different color. And Sundays they are closed. I wanted to have a fit, but I had to finish, the color wasn't too bad, so I just covered the original color Too inconsistent for me. Be happy you were closed cos I went full blown Karen at home Update Husband got more paint yesterday. Asked for Swiss coffee. Paint wasn't mixed so now we notice it's unmarked and white with no mix-in. So second chance didn't work out too well. So far the other colors seem correct. I cannot recommend this particular Sherman Williams store. Morgan Hill was more consistent. It isn't likely tho I will use this place again, next time the color might matter more and I can't trust Sherman Williams to respect that read more

So far so good. great selection of colors. they pretty much leave you alone when you go in, which I kinda love. I don't need to make small talk about paint. easy parking. read more

Sherwin-Williams Paint Store - Paint Stores Near Me - San Jose, California

We brought paint into be matched and get 5 gallons. It was 5:23Pm and they close at 6:00pm. The girl said they couldn't do it by 6:00. There was no one else in the store. It was her attitude that really was annoying. She told us to walk over to the samples and match it. read more

Super friendly staff- helped me match a color sample for free! Mixed paint quickly from there.

I began my painting project in the fall/winter 2020. When I initially started the painting project I worked with the manager Jesse to figure out paint color/paint finish/# of gallons needed. The project took longer than I anticipated and I only was able to finish it in June 2021. When I returned to the paint store Jesse's team assisted me and all were wonderful! I needed to get more of the same paint, but there is a paint shortage so the team patiently helped me figure out a similar finish. Additionally, what they didn't have in stock in their store they helped locate and brought over to their store so I could pick up from their store directly and not run around. I have been in many paint stores and this has amazing customer service, is so clean (and smells good), is well lite so easier to get a sense of color, and overall a friendly experience. Thank you to the entire blossom hill Sherwin Williams team! read more

I visited the store over the weekend. There were several early morning customers getting their paint supplies for the day. Alex assisted each one So professionally. She was very knowledgeable and patient. Even though there was a line, she was never flustered. She worked with each client until They had all their items, and all their questions were answered. She did it all very pleasantly. Such a really Kind person and it showed in her customer service. I returned the same day, as I was trying to find a close match for a Joanna Gaines Paint I had seen online. Alex and her coworker reviewed paint colors on the computer until the coworker was able to come up with a similar color. If you want to know what real customer service looks like, see Alex at SW Blossom Hill Road, and her coworker also. Sorry, I did not catch her name. read more

I went to this store to get paint for 2 rooms in my house. I don't know anything about paint. The first time I went in, Andy helped me with getting the baseboard and door paint. He was very nice. The next day, I went back to pick out paint for the Walls. Tom, the manager was working by himself and it was super busy due to the 40% off sale. The other employees were on lunch. He was so patient and professional. He helped out all the customers and helped me pick out my paint. He was very knowledgable. Overall, great customer service. read more

Didn't have a big experience here, but I thought I would add to their single review here on Yelp. I needed some touch up paint for my apartment walls for my shady complex. Came in with the code my complex gave me, which was completely wrong, and ordered my paint from the lady at the counter. She was very helpful and helped me out with my touch up project. Unfortunately, they only sell it in a gallon size and, being Sherwin Williams, are a little pricy when it comes to basic paint. When I got home, opened the can up, and realized this was not the correct color. So, I decided to take it back, since no color had been added to it, to get my money back. They had no problem returning my paint and refunding me my money. Seems likes a very friendly and helpful place to get your Sherwin Williams paints at. The employees were nice and made my experience a pleasant one. read more

Fiance and I just bought a townhouse and it's in need of a total color change. Previous owners pretty much chose colors straight from a crayon box - bright and kid friendly. Crayola green, yellow, lime green, sky blue. Anyways, we decided on Sherwin Williams paints because of their low VOC paints and took advantage of their yearly 40% off paint sale. I've been to this location 3 times already and each time was great. Michael, the guy in charge, is super friendly, knowledgable, patient, and funny. We needed to get a match of some random paint that was left for us by the previous owners for our baseboards and cabinets and Michael tried his best to get a match. After 3 tries, each try being only slightly off color, he told us to just take it, give it a try and if we really can't stand the subtle difference then we can just bring it back for a refund. Fair enough. They recently got a new associate, Val, super nice too and very helpful (looks like my friend Derek). We bought a butt load of stuff for our house project at good prices (during their sale). So far we only tried their Harmony paint which is great. Low VOC, no scent, covered the hideous lime/olive green in 2 coats, and dried quick. We also are about to try out their Emerald line. Read bad reviews but let's see how that goes. They have a 30 day return so hopefully the paint won't disappoint. And if it does, I'm sure Michael will be great help. read more

This is a specific review for Amanda (please note I think she may have transferred locations recently to the Sherwin Williams on Bascom). Amanda is a color consultant, with an arts background. Her special skill in this area was key to helping us quickly select paint colors for our entire house. Her selections were spot on (btw, we chose "Gossamer Veil" for our main living area), and I'm so surprised more paint stores don't offer color consultant services! Amanda was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would go back to Sherwin Williams again for any future paint jobs simply to get her expert input re color selection! read more

Anthony is amazing! We literally try to only come when he is working because he is so knowledgeable and helpful. The best part being he doesn't try to up sell you which we appreciate. read more

This review is for the new, unprofessional staff member at this location named Joshua. Joshua is rude, egotistical and has a major attitude. I asked a friend to pickup paint for me from this store which I regularly do myself and he encountered Joshua. I called beforehand to set up the pickup because I had an appointment I couldn't miss. Now, I have NEVER had any issues at this store. Everyone is usually cool and easy to talk to and deal with. Most are helpful and knowledgeable. Not Joshua. He put him through an interrogation. He kept interrupting him, talking over him and gave him a really hard time. He was asking him questions that I have NEVER been asked myself by anyone at this store. My frustrated friend text me "It seems like this guy does not want to sell me the paint." My friend is a mixed Black American. As soon as I got out of my appointment I called the store and spoke to Joshua. To no surprise he acted exactly how he was described. Annoying, over spoke and kept trying to talk over me. I asked him "What's the problem?" He stuttered and said "There's not a problem, I sold him the paint." Of course in my mind from a customer's viewpoint there's an issue when all we need is paint, fast service and no attitude. I let Joshua know we have never had any issues at this store before he started there. I told him he made my friend feel very uncomfortable and my friend thought he was just a racist. Joshua's response was "I am from the South!" ... THAT IS THE RESPONSE OF A RACIST PERSON. He thinks because he is from the South where there are many Black Americans that makes him not racist. Really??? Is he in denial? What the hell does living in the South have to do with anything. There are plenty of racist people in the South!!! It's where the majority of the White Supremacists and the KKK live, let's be honest. He was very defensive but not once did he say CALMY, I am not racist and this is all a misunderstanding. Instead he mentioned me coming down with my friend and I asked what would that accomplish? "Are you going to apologize (for being a douche [which I didn't say] to my friend?" His response was "I'm not apologizing for anything because I didn't do anything wrong." I said then let's not waste our time and told him the other staff associates are easier to work with. He said "Well they don't know what they're doing here and they're not following protocol." Okay... so Joshua you must be the master paint employee of the month at this store then. This guy is a joke! Did I mention the whole time I spoke with him he was yelling and would not let me speak. I'm not sure if I'll still shop at this store but I WILL still shop at Sherwin Williams. Joshua doesn't own the company and I'm pretty sure the CEO of SW can give 2 craps about him. So there is my experience. If you shop here AVOID Joshua. read more

I called this store last Sunday, as I was looking for a place to recycle my paint cans. The Kelly Moore store by my home was closed so I called around and found that this store was open. The person I spoke with (around 3:30 pm on October 12th) told me that they do not take in recycling but the Kelly Moore store down the street does. Of course Kelly Moore was closed (on Sunday's they close at 3 pm). I checked with my Kelly Moore store today, after I recycled my cans with their help. They told me that this store does have the capability to do it but they hear from many customers that this store says that they don't, most likely because they don't want to be bothered with it. How unfortunate that a store which I am sure charges all their customers a recycling fee (which all paint stores do), refuse to recycle. read more

We have come to this paint store many times and always have a pleasant experience. They are all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Paul was able to perfectly match the color of the trim on our house off a small sample. I would gladly return there in the future! read more

There was an advertisement in the Sunday paper stating that on August 26 through September 3, 2012 Sherwin-Williams paint was offering a 30% discount on paints and stains. I got there on September 3rd around 3:00 p.m. I needed a gallon of semi-gloss paint to paint a bathroom. The sales representative took me to the front of the store and pointed to the selection of paints. The cheapest was $37 plus tax and that was WITH THE 30% DISCOUNT. I thought it was too expensive so I went to Home Depot and got the same thing for $14.97. I only gave them one star. read more

This store has great customer service. I came to inquire about recycling paint, which this location does not do, but they were happy to point me to the nearest place where I could recycle my old paint. There were three associates on duty, and they all stopped what they were doing to help me find the most convenient place to recycle my paint. They were informative, extremely helpful, and knowledgable about local recycling laws and fees. I would definitely recommend this location! read more

I have been doing business with Amanda and crew for about 1 year now. They are all very knowledgeable, very courteous, and very attentive to my time. They understand their products, they offer great advice on which products will be best for each application. They haven't made a single mistake on anything they've done for me, and that means a lot to me. Mistakes on my orders can be very costly and I'm glad it's something that I just don't have to deal with in the store. Keep up the good work Amanda! read more

My husband & I bought paint from this Sherwin-Williams store about 1 yr. ago, for exterior window frame painting. The quality of paint was superior and customer service outstanding. The sales clerk (can't remember his name), handled our order on the spot. Very pleasant experience. So when I needed paint for a smaller job, (painting an interior window sill to match new shutters), I decided to go back to purchase a QUART of paint. Took in a shutter sample of the color I needed ("pure white") so staff could match. The sales clerk, Steven, was very nice and said if I could leave the sample, he would have my order ready in an hour. (He was working on a larger job at the time). I asked him to call me when my order was ready. 1 1/2 hrs. later I got a call from Steven saying that he could not match the sample exactly, however if I bought a GALLON of paint, he could match it. (All I needed was a quart!). This explanation made no sense and why wasn't I told this initially..., could've save me time, frustration, and trips back and forth to the store. (had to go back and pick up my shutter sample). What a waste of a morning/afternoon! Very disappointed. read more
