I don't like leaving reviews but the employees at this Sherwin-Williams were so professional, helpful, and friendly, I want to give a shout out. I had photos of the old, brittle, partially covered labels from the last time the house was painted. I needed new paint to cover a replacement porch railing. There was a wait but three different people cheerfully let me know that they'd be with me in as soon as possible. They seemed genuinely friendly, it was so nice! Sahil is the name on the receipt. He was able to pull up the order from almost 15 years ago, found a replacement for one of the colors that is no longer available, confirmed the application, and when I asked about caulking, he asked relevant questions about the application and directed me towards... not the most expensive one but the one I needed. He even found a box for the two gallons of paint. Thank you! I don't know how Sherwin-Willams treats their employees but have found that it's usually reflected in the way that employees treat the customers. Updated the store hour please. I drove like 20 miles for nothing. Now I need to fight the traffic

I'm actually writing this review long after I purchased paint here. I was so perplexed by my credit card information being stolen, that I didn't want to believe it was someone from this store. I received a new card from my bank only days before I made a purchase for paint. It was my only purchase with this new card. I appreciated that they took the card over the phone during the pandemic , (cvv number included), so that they could bring the paint to my car touch free. 3 days later, small charges (around $75) were being made on my card from Amazon, Target- places most people frequent. I hadn't used the card, so I was confused, watched for a few day, and after over $600 showed up that I know I did not make I called the bank. My card information had been stolen. I had not used that particular card at any other location so it's difficult for me to not put the blame on this store. I encouraged the bank to look into it, as I knew the name of the sales girl who took my credit card information down. I doubt they did and I didn't feel comfortable initiating it on my own. My family discouraged me from making this review, but after months of feeling violated, I didn't want anyone else to feel this way and be taken advantage of like I was. Please be wary of how you pay and monitor your card. I will not be shopping at this paint shop again, ever. It's a shame because I know good people work here. It only takes one. read more

I came into this Shermin Williams location expecting a level of service I would receive back Dallas and I was greeted with something much less appealing. I am in town helping my parents redo their bathroom so I came into this store for the purpose of getting a color match. This color match was extremely important to my aging mother since it was the color of her house growing up. As one might assume this paint trip meant little more to me than usual. I walked in and was "helped" by a tall young man. While discussing my beautification plans for my parent's bathroom I then smelled a putrid odor. It did not take me long to realize that the employee standing before me passed gas. While I would normally let things like this slide, I found it highly unprofessional as he did not excuse himself. There is no place for slip ups like these in a business transaction or setting. Nature be damned, I am entitled to a buying experience free from life's indecencies. I brought in a piece of baseboard and asked them to match the color. As the other reviews will tell you, they don't do this as you wait. You have to drop it off and come back around 24hrs later / so plan ahead and don't get all cranky about it. It is worth the wait - they did such a good job, I was able to touch up right in the middle of my existing baseboard and cabinets and you can't even tell the difference. Much better results than going to Lowe's or Home Depot. Staff was friendly and gave me some good tips even though it was super busy in there - which was appreciated! read more

I bought the expensive Cashmere paint for two bedrooms. I needed ceiling paint, wall paint and baseboard paint. The coverage of all 3 was poor. The paint is a combination of paint and primer, so you would expect coverage to be superior. It was not. It took more paint and 3 coats to cover. Twice, I had to return the low lustre formula as it had globs of paint that didn't break down. Very disappointing....not using this paint again! read more

$40 and $60 for a gallon of paint!! My gripe is not with it's employees, but rather the prices. I used to get all my paint from Sherwin-Williams for years. Once I discovered I was paying DOUBLE for my paint I went to Home Depot and they were able to color match all the paint I purchased from Sherwin-Williams using the top rated Behr Paint at half the cost and rated #1 by Consumer Reports Magazine. Expect to pay $40 per gallon for Sherwin-Williams mid-grade paint and $60 per gallon for Sherwin-Williams top-grade paint!! I don't have that kind of money to throw away. read more

I did work for a home-builder a few years ago... but I never learned much about painting. I went into Sherwin-Williams and took a look at the different colors hoping to find the right one for my new studio! I decided if I ever wanted to do pinks on a wall this would the one time in my life I would be able to... So with that in mind a picked a few shades of pink. I went to the counter for some help. The gentleman helping me was great... he asked me where the paints were going to go and if I had all the tools needed. He walked around with me suggesting tools depending on what I needed and what was better for me. Not was the most expense and would bring profit. I bought paint for the bathroom and for the living room. The guy said that if I had any questions I could always call and ask. This is what I call wonderful customer service!!! read more

Stop changing paint formulas so ofter. The only reason I came here twice recently is previous owners of homes bought paint here. I arrive two separate time and both times....we a hanged the formula so it might not look right. Very feustrating. There are the sames basis to mix...I do not ever want to buy new paint for a project because I know I will not likely be able to touch up in the future if needed. So so so frustrating. I do see what Anne is saying about not being proactive to help you but once you engage one of the staff they are very helpful. Loyd C. - You're going to give a bad review because you can't park where you're not supposed to. They should let their business suffer because the idiot who owns the property next door allowed 20 parking spaces for 5 business and living space above it? Went in to get a color purchased at another store matched. The can was 10 years old and the paint had hardened. They told me they would try to match it and come in at noon the next day. I came in at 3:00 the next day and the job wasn't finished due to the fact that they could not match it very well. I was told I had to wait another hour and they would try to match it. I went shopping and came back to the perfect color. The gentleman that helped me the second day, Beto, apologized for the delay and explained why it is difficult to match old paint manufactured by other companies. He even gave me a small discount for the trouble of waiting. So, the only reason I'm not giving them a 5 is that I would have appreciated a phone call that it was going to take them a little longer. After applying the new SuperPaint Interior with Sanitizing Technology, there is a paint chemical odor that lingers in the room. It has been three weeks after application. I have two Whirlpool air purifiers running around the clock and have ventilated the room every day leaving the windows open from 9AM to 4:00PM to no avail. I am concerned about the health implications as well as the unpleasant odor. I contacted the customer support as directed in the response from Sherwin-Williams. I was transferred to the office of Daniel Soto, District Office Operations Department. I explained the events to his assistant as follows: David, the Store Manager visited my house and said he did not smell anything inside the room. He sent another associate, William Guerra, to visit the room to see if he could smell it. William Guerra told me to reset my nose by smelling ground coffee. I invited him to do the same. He acknowledged the odor and told me that he 100% guaranteed that the odor is harmless because unless there is a manufacturing problem with the new product, they are made to be no VOC. He also told me he remembers the smell from Cuba and thinks it may be the soy beans that the paint is made out of. I am awaiting the District Office to return my telephone call, but Daniel Soto asked William Guerra to call me today to tell me that the product could smell up to 45 days until it sets. read more

I went to Sherwin-Williams in Bonney Lake to purchase paint for an interior trim project. I told the salesman that I needed a gallon of "Emerald Urethane" paint because I was painting interior trim. The salesman acknowledged me and told me he would mix the paint up. I confirmed with the salesman again that I was purchasing "Emerald Urethane paint for trim?" And the salesman confirmed "yes." The paint was given to me in a brown box. I had a professional painter at home who was charging $750 to paint interior trim in a bedroom. We both assumed that I had been given Emerald urethane paint but unfortunately I had been given Emerald acrylic paint. My entire bedroom was masked off to spray paint the trim. The painter's assistant loaded the paint in the sprayer and painted the trim with the acrylic paint that had been provided. My painter had also spoken to me about getting urethane paint earlier because I was painting interior trim. I assumed I was given the correct paint but to my surprise.. I was not! After spraying the trim, we noticed the paint was streaking and not leveling in some areas. We checked the paint can and sure enough it was the acrylic Emerald paint.. not the Emerald urethane I had requested. I spoke with the Sherwin-Williams manager about the problem and that I was out $750 in labor and would have to repaint the room for an additional cost. Although I never received an apology.., the manager did state that he believed my story that the mistake was made by their employee. The manager said he would have to talk to upper management about the problem and see if he could credit my account in paint. I thanked the manager and he told me he would give me a call in 3 days- Monday 8/29. I called on Thursday 9/1 and left a message for Coleton to call me back and still have not received a call back. What a disappointing response from Sherwin-William's management. read more

I will never buy anything from Sherwin Williams again! On Saturday 10-17-2020 I purchased 8 gallons of paint with my debit/credit card, total price $363. Sunday 10-18-2020 Sherwin Williams sent me an email stating the paint was ready for pickup so I went to the store to get my paint that i already paid for online. I also picked up a few other items totaling $80. The girl behind the desk handed me a receipt totaling $458, I asked her why they were double charging me for the 8 gallons of paint, she said they were not, all that I was being charged was for the extra items I was buying that day (Sunday), I said okay and left the store with my receipt. when I arrived home I checked my bank account and sure enough they double charged me for the 8 gallons of paint. The next morning I went back to the Sherwin Williams store to let her know I was double charged, she called corporate and they said the money was on hold because I used a debit card to purchase the paint online. I told the clerk at the store to call them back and tell them the customer (me) said it was unacceptable and wants his money released from hold immediately. she did and they said there was nothing they could do about it, the money would be released from hold within 3 days. I left the store, not happy but i realized three days would be Tuesday the 20th. well Tuesday came and went, still not released from hold. Wednesday around 2pm checked my account and it still wasn't released from hold, now i am getting concerned as things are not that great financially because of Covid. I called Sherwin Williams Corporate and explained my situation and she told me to take a photo of my receipt and she would be emailing me so i could respond with the photo of my receipt. about a half hour later still no email, so I called them back the recording said all representatives have left for the day because of some BS reason i for got what the hell it was about. So now I am furious and decided to just call my credit union and ask them to release the hold and she did. I will always use a credit card when making purchases online as this kind of BS seems illegal and should be outlawed in my opinion. Consumer be ware, do not use your debit card to purchase items online or at least make sure they do not put a hold on the same amount that you had purchased. read more

Sherwin-Williams is silently ripping you off. They advertise a price then silently add 4% to the total in the stores claiming supply shortage. This is false advertising. They do not tell anyone about it hoping you will not notice, but then point to a little 3" x 5" sign near the cash register saying they are going to add it if you do catch it. I just went to them to buy paint on sale. How can you have a sale and then add 4% back on???? Contractors may put up with it because they just charge their customers but I am retired and expect to pay the price I budgeted for. Online in very small print (must be 4pt type) after the "Sales Price" they say it does not include sales tax and other fees. "Other fees????". How often would you buy a shirt if you went shopping because of price and found out there was 4% added at the store to replace the material being used. This is sneaky business at best and false advertising at worst. read more

We went to the store next to Casa Paco on bird road. Where Francis assisted us... and not very nicely he didn't really care to listen to what we needed and got annoyed when we asked him questions. Then when it was time to pay, I asked him 3 times if he applied the 30% discount... he said yes, but when I looked at the receipt a 10% discount a Was applied. Not a 30%. It took him about 40 minutes to cancel the transaction and redo it correctly because he helped another customer. TERRIBLE customer service!!!!! read more

This is a review for the customer service, not the product. My husband and I visited this location recently to get paint samples for our kitchen remodel. We took 10 samples to the front and the attendant informed us that It was only 5 samples per person. I said since there were two of us, then we could each get 5 samples. She rolled her eyes and refused, and said we could only get 5 samples between the two of us. I asked again, since we were two people, to get 5 samples each. She said "You really wanna be that person? OK", and started inputting the order, annoyed. It was a pretty crappy response considering we were following the rules as communicated to us. We ended up leaving and going to Home Depot. We have used Sherwin Williams for all our projects during our entire full home remodel, but that experience left a really bad taste in our mouth. We still love your product and want to support the company, but won't be visiting that location anymore. No customer needs to walk away feeling shamed and guilty for literally following the rules. I'm sassy and can have an attitude but damn, the woman working at your store has me beat by a mile. read more

WTF. I need paint and I'm not waiting until tomorrow for a touch up job. I can touch up paint at HD or lowe's and wait 5 minutes, not the next day. Nobody was in the store!! I don't get it. Terrible service. Getting customers in the door is job #1, then telling them sorry I can't help you come back tomorrow is inexcusable. That's like going to McDonalds and them telling you, sorry we're really busy, come back later, when nobody business the restaurant. Bad service, even if they were mysteriously super swamped, hire another employee for walk in customers to sell paint. Hey, what a novel concept, selling paint to people who walk thru the door. Sent my husband to sherwin williams to buy high gloss for the bathroom walls and he came home with semi gloss because the girl at the store told him that people use semi gloss. I called and spoke with her and she said 99% of people use semi gloss .. told her I wanted high gloss .. would not change paint because it was tinted. Perhaps Morgan has gone to decorating school but I am not happy... paint is good, advice is not as high gloss prevents mildew in bathrooms read more

I had an eye opening experience today about what a great paint is. We bought and painted a house 3 years ago and used mostly Sherwin Williams paint. We couldn't finish in time so we hired contractors, and apparently they ran out of paint and bought some Behr paint. Today we needed to paint small parts of newly replaced windows so my husband went to the basement and out of 3 cans of white paint he picked Behr (???!!!). The paint was thick, so he went to Home Depot for thinning solution - and was told that you cannot thin Behr paint, just bring the can to us and we "revive" it. Well. I was the one to paint ( and I didn't know that we had Sherwin Williams left). After just one window I was spent - I couldn't move my arms and legs. And then my husband revealed to me that we actually have 2 more cans on Sherwin Williams. I almost killed him. When we opened 3 years old can - it was like new! It was like night and day - using this silky, pliable, beautiful paint! I finished 3 windows in no time and I enjoyed every minute of it. I will never buy any paint by Sherwin Williams. Well, Benjamin Moore is also good. But I didn't open an old can from them yet :) read more

I have been in the painting business for 15 years and began using sherwin williams products in the last year. Compared to the Benjamin Moore products, sherwin williams products are absolutely the worst in every single regard. The coverage is horrible, flashing issues if 3 or more coats are not applied, paints are thin and run easily. Stores are under staffed. Managers and sales reps are rude and don't possess knowledge or experience to best help customers. I have switched back to repcolite and will never, ever step foot into sherwin williams again. read more

Time will tell how much I really like this place, but so far, I've had 2 experiences, and both have been very solid. First, the color consultant gave me her hours, and told me to NOT BUY paint at that time, because they were having a sale next week. Also, reminded me that if I didn't know what colors I wanted to use, but knew which base I needed, I could just buy the base, and when I was ready, bring the paint in and they'd tint it for me at that time. It was kind of brilliant, and I appreciate anyone that would keep my costs down. The second time I went in was to purchase the paint itself. Sherwin-Williams isn't cheap, but it is less than Benjamin Moore, which is the other one I was thinking of using. They have a nice saturation of color overall. That said, I talked the salesperson with how many rooms, and what kinds of rooms we were looking to paint, and he helped us confirm how much we should buy, which types, which bases, etc. Use this for bathrooms specifically, because it's better at combatting mildew (a very useful tip!). This kind may just use a single coat, if you apply it in this manner, because it holds really well. Ceiling paint is cheapest, go for this base.... etc. It was helpful information, and I'm going to head back to sanity check some color options before we actually paint, but so far, it's been very pleasant working with them. Why not 5? I kind of wish they had maybe one more person on staff, because it felt like they had to scramble to handle the few people that were there, but overall, I think they're doing a bang up job. read more

Once I went there a few years ago for exterior paint and the guy was great. I told him who was doing the job and it was no problem and hooked me up with the painters price and bought tons of paint. BUT today I went in and told the boy what I wanted for a complete interior paint job. He asked for the painters I told him "Happy Painters" and then he said I needed the phone number because there were so many Happy Painters...so I gave him the cell number...he said there were still too many coming up that he needed the painters name....I don't know...so I had to call the painters and ask for a name? Ok...well they didn't answer...so now what? He refused to tell me what the price would be and told me that it would be $200 + tax for just 5 gallons of contractor paint, without the painters name..........ARE U KIDDING ME? He refused to give me any other prices and I left. I went to Home Depot and got the same paint by Glidden and got 5 gallons for $62.00.
