I brought in my door trim for them to match the paint, and they immediately told me they couldn't do it because there was shimmer in the finish. I explained that I didn't need the shimmer -- I just needed the closest base color. Then they said no one (the color technician) could work on it until Monday. But if you're not the color technician, how can you confidently tell me what can or cannot It's clear they don't want to help and don't care whether someone is a repeat customer or not. I drove all the way from Los Altos to Cupertino for this, and honestly, it was a complete waste of time, unwillingness to help & give me this "I don't care" doing business with a repeat customer made this a very disappointing visit.

Recently, I needed to touch up a banged-up wall, but only had one dried-up can of the original color from 2009. I discussed all this with one of the employees, who asked if I could cut off a sample directly from the wall so they could color-match. She didn't sound terribly optimistic ghat they'd get it right-on, and also recommended that I use a foam brush to dab and blend rather than a brush. I am happy to report that the results are PERFECT. I used a beauty blender as seen here. Can you even tell where the touch-up happened? Anyway, my relationship with this shop is longer than some marriages. So he took back the aura and testing on a piece of paper. And said "your house lighting is wrong. My paint has no problem." When I tried to get the piece of paper and go outside to match the chip he wouldn't let me. And yelled at me" you know nothing about paint." he slammed the gallon paint on the counter and yelled again" I'm not taking it back". So unbelievable. Be aware of this place. No customer service at all. Horrible service. Totally waste of money and time. Never go back again. Of course nothing can match perfectly. But it' should be close to gray beige color, not baby blue. Maybe your machine needs to be calibrated? Why I had to be yelled at when your machine is not working right? No one called me to let me know the paint was ready. I asked her when it was ready, and she snaps "I don't know I wasn't here". I immediately remembered her from my last visit where she had to fully disclose they will paint match but it's not guaranteed. Why doesn't she just say it out loud, "HOW CAN I NOT HELP YOU"? Then she looks up my account by name. As we're standing there for a good solid minute I say, can you put this on my account. She says "I need your ID" sure but why don't you ask for it instead of just standing there, breathing, and existing. Then she sarcastically says, "HAVE A NICE DAY". Your life must be sad to be that angry at strangers. Good lord lady- get a job somewhere else if you don't want to help anyone at Kelly Moore. I knew I wanted to swatch the colors first on the walls and they said a sample isn't needed you can just hold up the paper swatch to the wall?? I then went to Home Depot but again was met with paint selection that didn't really match the color I was seeking. When I came here, I knew what kind of color I wanted and was helped out - right away in discerning the best type of paint for the job. You don't get the level of expertise from other places, and for me I wanted some finite info on the paint before starting my DIY project. The people here know the trends in paint, the undertones and explained how paint breakdowns work. -- You get 10% off your first purchase which is a nice perk, I will be back for future paint needs. I'm really happy with the color and even got some recommendations on a comparable swatch. In the end I purchased 5 gallons of paint, finished my whole house and I'm super pleased with the recommended eggshell mid tier paint. They matched the color from SW with ease and I was happier than going back to SW with their cold shoulder service. None of the parts were available locally at Home Depot, my go-to, because I needed an odd-size, 1-1/4. So I went to Rubenstein's a bought 600+ dollars of parts, and I told the counter guys "this stuff is probably all coming back, I wish you had a restocking fee because it's only fair that I pay for borrowing the parts." they just waved me off and assured me come on back we'll take care of you. At the end of the day, only the most expensive part, the valve, and 1 other part was needed to close up the line, finish the job, and put a smile on my customer's face. Two days later, I returned everything else and the guys were unfailingly upbeat and helpful. For a plumbing store, in this particular situation, this is unusual. I left feeling good about the whole process.

When we got there it was 9:15am, so we waited outside and as the time went, more people lined up as they all thought they opened at 8. Once inside, the sales people are very friendly and nice. Kyle helped me out given my contact was on vacation. They are not on commission base, so there's less selling pressure. He showed me all the fixtures, the bidet options, the sink and their bathroom could be double used as a showroom. You can certainly try the bidet setup there to get a feel of an upgrade from the normal toilet. I like the sink they carry which is Toto and the maintenance is easy. Kyle was detail-oriented and he even discussed the option of having the overflow drain on the inside or facing the outside. After the discussion, once he puts a quote together for the items we were interested in, the rest could be done via email. So after shopping around, we emailed him about what we wanted and asked more questions for other items' specs. Everything was done on email and was convenient. After we finalize the decisions and Kyle put in the sales order, I just need to call them to pay with credit card. The whole process is seamless. Discounts are also applied if the contractor has an account with them. Once we had the order, I just need to drop it to the contractor and they will do the pickup. Easy peasy.....
