We come here all the time and Benjamin's Donuts on Western never disappoints. Their bacon, egg & cheese croissant and ham, egg & cheese croissant are seriously some of the best we've ever had, and the donuts are always fresh and delicious. The service is what really stands out though. The lady and gentleman working there are consistently kind, welcoming, and make every visit feel appreciated. This location on Western exceeds my expectations every single time. I'm not saying the other location isn't good, but this one is our favorite and we'll gladly make a special trip for it whenever we can. Highly recommend! read more

There's just something unbeatable about Texas donuts and kolaches, and Benjamin Donuts Western is another fantastic example. We arrived early morning to find the display cases filled with happy, fresh donuts. Decided to order a couple of classic yeast donuts and two kolaches. My goodness, the donuts were the fluffiest I've had in a very long time and the kolaches were absolutely scrumptious. The pastry was so flaky and buttery. The variety and quality of the donuts is unmatched and the kolaches are addicting. They do a great job keeping their store organized and clean. They have some of the best customer service in town, my children are always greated with free donut hole and a smile. They do a fantastic job creating kids character donuts. This is a nice little donut shop that has a few breakfast items as well. I only ended up here because the motel ran out of coffee before I got up to the office to get some. I tried going to the French bakery down the street but they were closed for vacation and this one was practically walking distance away so I came in here instead. I got a breakfast croissant which was delicious. I watched her make it so I knew it was fresh and not pre-made. I also got a cream filled donut that I haven't tasted yet and a kolache to try out. I'll have it for breakfast tomorrow morning. I ordered a large coffee with the idea of sipping some, getting it topped off when I left and bring it back to the motel. Unfortunately it was so boiling hot I wasn't able to drink any in the restaurant and the tiny sip that I was able to taste was very weak. The weakness didn't surprise me because when I added the cream to it it turned white almost instantly and barely needed any cream even though it was a large 16 oz cup. The lady was real nice so I didn't want to complain but I drove over to Dunkin Donuts and got a large coffee from them also. I will mix the two together in my motel room and that'll give me some coffee for the next couple of days. The coffee was certainly cheap here, only $1.35 for the large one. The lady was real nice about mixing 50-50 regular and decaf for me. I'll try to get back and edit this review after I taste the donut and kolache but they sure look good. The atmosphere was very down home friendly. It looked like they had a lot of regulars, an old geezer group clustered at one long table and people with kids coming in that she greeted with familiarity. There is a kids play area in one corner with 2 walls and two tables enclosing it so the moms can sit at the tables enjoying their coffee and donuts while the kids get to play. Hit up Benjamin's donuts this morning. Got the Korean burrito and my hubby tried the kolaches. He's been waiting four years or so since we moved from Dallas to find them again and it was worth the wait. Missed the peppers in the Korean burrito but it was pretty darn good. Clean, old fashioned place keeping the goods coming! Will definitely be back with the kids. No pictures this time, but next time I'll add. FYI prices went up compared to menu we found online so don't get worked up. read more

I also must say I read lots of good reviews about Benjamins on Yelp and Facebook, so maybe I just had an off experience. I've never been to Benjamin Donuts because honestly, I'm not a donut person. They all taste the same to me. However, a friend had gone and tried the "Bulgogi Burrito," and suggested I try it. It's listed as Korean Marinated Beef and Rice. Unfortunately, mine was mainly all rice and cheese. Where's The Beef? I found very little in my burrito and what was there was buried in the ends. I really had to tear it apart to even find it. Very Disappointed. Visited their website, it does look like if you're a donut connoisseur, you've hit pay dirt!! read more

When you are in Amarillo and decide that you want sausage rolls for breakfast, there is no better place than Benjamin. I wanted a sausage and cheese roll (some erroneously call them sausage kolaches) and found this local establishment. The service was fast and friendly and knowledgeable about the products. They have a wide variety of donuts, including flavor-glazed holes which is pretty rare. They have artisan-style donuts as well, plus breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Their beverage offerings are broad, so kids and adults can all find something they will want. The restaurant was clean and quite well-attended for a later morning breakfast run. All in all, even though it wasn't overly convenient for where I was staying, it was easy to find and certainly worth the extra couple of red lights to get there. read more

We arrived early around 7 am to get coffee and a breakfast sandwich. 25 minutes later we had to ask if our sandwichs were any closer to being ready. The worker then proceeded to ask us what we ordered again. Additionally, the coffee was more like hot water. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere for sandwichs. After our sandwichs were made, she asked us to pay again. Needless to say, you should go elsewhere for coffee and a sandwich. read more

Expensive, cannot get your order right, and rude. I went to get two dozen donuts for work. Went through the drive thru a little before 7 am. I ordered a dozen mixed glazed, and a dozen mixed filled. They did not know what mixed meant. After I explained that it took them about 20 minutes to give me two boxes. When I got to work I found 11 filled donuts in the two boxes. I called them and was told well we only charged you for the mixed. They charged me 19 dollars for the 11 filled donuts. Not what their sign says. After this Donut Stop for me. read more
