I ended up going here for the first time last weekend. The hibachi was delicious, the chef was humorous as he prepared our food in front of us, with lighthearted banter, jokes and he was considerate of me not wanting onions. Soup, salad, and ice cream (options included; vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and matcha) was included in my meal selection. I ended up getting chicken and shrimp, with an upgraded fried rice. It was cooked perfectly, and just crispy enough. The ambiance of the restaurant was a little loud, the chatter with people enjoying the company around them, laughter, banging of cooking tools, and the sound of servers/cooks buzzing around. Overall it was fun, and engaging. My one star off was due to the floors being horribly sticky, and slippery. They hadn't just been cleaned and weren't outrightly wet, but it was raining out. In terms of price versus worth of what we got -- it felt a little overpriced for what we got, although the atmosphere and interaction definitely made the experience more worth it. read more

Where to start. The food was good but it was a very expensive night. Started out ordering a glass of pinot grigio that I didn't realize was $18 a glass which arrived with lipstick on it. One of the other couples at our table also had a dirty dish. Waiter and chef were fine. Waiter did mix up our bills but fixed it. Both of our meals were about $50 each. By the time the "service charge" or tip of $30.90 was added, we were told we could add more but it had to be cash, and taxes of over $17, our bill for 2 was $203.03. This place used to be excellent years ago but I'm disappointed to say I've seen a steady decline in quality over the years. Todays review is solely on the Benihana delivery through the Benihana.com website. They use DoorDash and the driver was excellent but it was the restaurant that was the issue. Food is always amazing. Ricardo gave an amazing show!! He was very funny and pulled new tricks I had never seen before.

Service was really slow, we sat down and everyone was there so we weren't waiting on anyone. They finally were about to start 40 minutes later cooking, but the grill was never started so it took an extra 10 minutes to heat it up, and another 10 for them to come back to cook. My wife had to leave mid way through dinner because we were limited on time. It took a whole hour after we were seated for them to start cooking. Then what made it worse is that all three of our groups were charged a fee for the cook which probably rounded around 100 all together. More than likely won't go again until some changes are made. Not even a percentage taken off our bills, just added fees. At least the other two groups made my experience bearable. read more

To say Benihana's has gone downhill is a complete understatement. We had an 8PM reservation for 2 tables to celebrate a very special 70Th birthday party. We were not seated until almost 9PM. Once we were seated, we continued to wait. The drinks (90% water because we had already been at the bar for over an hour) took 15-20 minutes. Then the server left and didn't take our order! It was 10:15PM by the time the chefs arrived. This was 2:15 HOURS after our reservation. The chefs were great BTW. Before the chefs arrived, we had at least 4 members of our party talk to the manager about the slow service and she actually blamed us for not being seated right away. She said she could have seated us at opposite ends of the restaurant at 8 although we had 2 confirmations (once while making the reservation and again earlier in the day) that the tables would be next to each other. Although that didn't explain that we were seated at 9 and the chefs didn't arrive until 10:15, which she had no explanation for. I asked her to make things right and give us a discount or something. No manager even spoke to our table or approached us in any way. To top it off, they gave us no discount, but you bet the full service charge was added to the check! To add insult to injury, we had to wait in line to pay, which took an additional 25 minutes. The police were called due to an unruly and upset table who also had to wait a long time, so it was a complete mess. The fact that the managers didn't even care about our experience and even blamed us for our late seating- even having us pay full price for our check is just too much for me to fathom. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but I will absolutely never go back. I hope your loss of customers was worth it. I don't think this restaurant will last much longer. I actually think it's funny one of your bartenders is stealing from you- serves you right!!! At least someone is getting their money's worth from your establishment LOL!!!!!!! read more

This restaurant is not a place I would recommend, with food or service. The flavours were not authentic and felt like the just got a spicy sauce bottle and coating the fish. No soy sauce was offered until half way through the meal. Two bar tenders knowledge or sake and flavours were poor. Ambiance is great for a group and casual dining. read more
