    Chicken Curry Noodle (Kapoon)
    Deedee L.

It's a buffet so I never have cover much. The chicken curry noodle (kapoon) is as actually more flavorful than I expected, however I like mine more creamy so I could have used more coconut milk. The Thai boat noodle was a bit water down for my liking. The soup selection was very nice, we didn't get to try all of them. The selection of food was what you would expect. There are a couple Hmong dishes, the cold chicken, pig feet and knuckle (kind of disappointing they didn't just make it into sweet pork). The papaya salad was very bland, the Hmong pepper was good, could have been more spicy. The location has a big parking lot, the inside was a typical buffet setup. Very dim lighting. The staff doesn't interact much with you at all. When you arrive they give you your utensil and you seat yourself where ever. They come around to pick up your used dishes but thats it. It's unfortunate, I don't think anyone check on us at all to make sure everything was ok. I understand that it's a buffet so everything is self serve, but it was honestly the weirdest experience not having any interaction with the staff. The most interaction was when I was ordering my noodles. Also, they close at 8 PM everyday. The will no longer seat customers after 7PM so if you wish to dine in, make sure you arrive early. Probably won't go back, I wanted to try and support but it's just not what I expected. Best of luck to them.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon for family of 4. They have a temperature taker right before you get to the cash register to check in your party and pay first before they bring you to your table. The buffet has a smaller selections compare to all the big chain buffets. It's more of a Hmong buffet. They have a pho station where you can requests for pho, curry noodle soup, spicy noodle, boat pho, white rice and sticky rice. I had the spicy noodles (where they only do it in the weekends.) it was pretty good. The boat pho is pretty decent too. I say compare to a lot of places it's not bad at all. The nab van was not bad but I feel like the coconut milk they have is a little bit water down. I'm thinking they use the powder coconut to make coconut milk. Spicy chicken was good as it has a hint of sweet and spicy to it. Chicken drumstick was quite crispy. Overall the food was pretty good not bad at all. Only downfall is I feel like they were a little bit short staff as many tables didn't get refills on their beverages nor were they collecting away dirty dishes. The selections of hot foods weren't being stock fast enough. There were a few times when we went up and there wasn't any thing stock. (Which is why it's not a 5 star.) So we went to the pho station more. I have to admit the lady that was working the pho station did a great job of constantly stocking the pho station, checking on the tri color station, and making sure everything on that side is stock. So kudos to her.

For a Asian Hmong buffet, it's really good. They are clean and the food are so organized. The waitress is super nice and sweet. I have no complaint about the food. If you want a mix of Chinese and Hmong food, this is the place. I fly all the way from California just to try this place out. It's worth the flight!

Not a fan of this place. Food is bland but I like the options. Wished it was a little more flavorful.

It's not a pleasant experience when, for example, you grab a lamb leg piece and it's cold on the outside. The inside of the restaurant is decent. I wasn't a fan of the desserts--mostly standard buffet fare without much variety. That said, I did really enjoy the gyro meat and the spiced rice with okra tomato sauce; those were the highlights. The service was good, which I appreciated, but for the price, I wouldn't say this place is worth it. I do want to say, though that I am willing to give it another try in the future, I believe that a lot of times restaurants can just have a bad day.

One standout for me was the chicken wild rice soup, which was rich, comforting, and surprisingly enjoyable even with mushrooms mixed in -- the flavors were well balanced and hearty without being overpowering. The salad bar was another strong point, with a good range of fresh ingredients and prepared salads that felt thoughtfully stocked rather than repetitive. The pizza was decent -- not the highlight of the meal, but serviceable and satisfying as part of the larger selection. To finish, the ice cream was excellent and easily one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience, offering a classic, nostalgic end to the meal. Overall, Q Cumbers is a solid choice if you're looking for variety and comfort in a relaxed, casual setting. It's especially well-suited for diners who enjoy being able to customize their meal and sample multiple items in one visit. Q Cumbers is worth a try if you haven't been. Let's start with the obvious: it's a buffet. We're getting our own plates, our own refills, doing the whole "DIY dining" thing. Fine. But for that price, you'd expect at least decent food. Instead, it was bland, forgettable, and sitting somewhere between lukewarm and questionable. Now the part that really sealed it: as we were literally getting up to leave, an employee approached us and demanded a tip. Not suggested. Not politely mentioned. Demanded. Then another staff member came over, pointed at the receipt, and told me I needed to tip. I'm actually a generous tipper, happily so, when it's earned. But being confronted like that? That's not service, that's pressure with a side of audacity. I even tried to clarify, thinking maybe gratuity wasn't included and I misunderstood. I was told, "No, service is completely separate." Okay... then maybe make that crystal clear somewhere? A sign, a note, literally anything. I would have gladly run to my car to grab cash and come back if it had been handled respectfully. But after being cornered and told I had to tip? Absolutely not. If your business model relies on tipping, act like it. Don't ambush customers on their way out like they're skipping out on a bill. Between the overpriced, underwhelming food and the aggressive tipping situation, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while.
