Classic Chinese buffet with a huge selection of salads, desserts, sushi, hot food, and a Mongolian grill/hibachi section. Whatever you can think of, they probably have it here! Even a koi pond with giant koi at their entrance! The Mongolian grill was definitely the most delicious part of the meal! You get to pick your own ingredients, and the chef cooks it for you live on a circular grill. From veggies to chicken wings to fried fish to hot and sour soup, the possibilities are endless here!

What I like about Super Moon: service, food assortment, and the Mongolian grill option to build your own dish. Food was a hit and miss for us. Some food tasted dry and old even though it looked deceptively freshly made. Pan fried blue crab had a hint of ammonia smell (sign of not so fresh seafood). The fried shrimp was like it was stuffed with old leftover shrimp. The dumplings were dense and crusty. But I made my own stir fry with the Mongolian grill which was good, even though they need to clean up the ingredient bar area. Fried chicken wings were juicy and crispy. They no longer have any dim sum (in the past they used to have about 4-5 steamed dim sum items). Service was good in clearing dishes and refilling drinks. Overall, with tip was about $60 for 2 people on a Sunday. Definitely not worth it for the quality of food.

I love this buffet even though the food isn't best best or freshest Asian food ever there's a lot of different options and a lot of variety. There's even sushi and desserts including a soft serve machine. Also the price is pretty reasonable too and it's a good place for all ages!

I decided to give this place a try after driving by for years. I stopped by to get lunch buffet takeout and the first thing I noticed was how busy this place is! I guess there must be lots of loyal customers. When we were leaving, the line to get in was out the door! Most of the food is very basic and a lot of the items on the salad bar looked old and weathered. They also have a weird pricing guide, they charge a lot more if you get seafood, but I'll be honest those tiny shrimp did not look appetizing at all and I do not think they warrant a higher price! There were two options for take out during lunch: per pound ($5.99 without seafood and $9.99 with seafood) or they have an option to just fill the box ($10.99 without seafood, $14.99 with seafood). It's just odd because the cream cheese wontons are labeled as seafood even though I'm pretty certain there was just cream cheese in there. The one redeeming quality is that they have Mongolian bbq, which I love! You pick out frozen meat, noodles, veggies and sauce and they cook it for you on a hot stone! This is one of my favorites and I don't think we have any true Mongolian bbq spots left in the twin cities! So really I would give 1-2 stars BUT my love for Mongolian bbq bumped it up to a 3!

Convenient Chinese Buffet to downtown MPLS. I've always driven past this restaurant on the way to the city and wondered what it would be to dine in. It's not the worse buffet I've had, but could be better. We went later in the lunch rush, around 1 on a Saturday. You pay first and then seat yourself. Being winter, the first section has a draft and was completely empty compared to middle and end. It was pretty packed inside. When you get seated, the staff were pretty attentive on drinks and removing plates. Tables were cleaned as customers left, that side of the house is well managed. Food: There's 4-5? Hot bar lines plus salad, sushi rolls, Mongolian grill, and dessert. There's a nice assortment of different things; stir fry clams, noodles, fried chicken in a sauce, pizza and chicken nuggets for pickier eaters. That being said, the food quality was hit or miss. This part drove down my rating. The fried chicken pieces seemed mostly breading. Some items were overcooked like the fried jalopenos. We ate later during the lunch rush, so you could tell that they kept food in the warmers, as when they brought out a new batch the appearances were a little rough. The fruit for dessert had some overly ripe pieces which were hard to miss with the lighting. Overall if you don't want to travel far, it's an option. But would recommend driving an extra 10minutes to a different venue or maybe arriving earlier before the lunch rush.

$74 for 2 adults,3 yr old and 5 yr old on a Sunday - drinks included even tho we only drink water. There is a wide variety of foods but that means the quality is down. 5 options of sushi that have been sitting for a long time next to a bathtub of soy sauce. Fried shrimp was cold or mushy. Piles of food they keep adding too and food keeps falling off. Extra sauce on everything but nothing was warm food. But the servers were so nice and helpful. I would not come back. I would rather go to Taco Bell for fresher food.

Went here for dinner and it was okay. I had no idea what to expect but it was a solid experience for a buffet. I am not a huge buffet fan but they had a lot of great options so it is definitely worth a try. The people working there were extremely friendly! We were there later in the evening and they started cleaning and vacuuming while we were still eating which I found a little rude. I prefer other Chinese restaurants over this Chinese buffet so will most likely not be back.

What's better than a Chinese buffet?? A Chinese buffet on steroids!! This place has it all. For $17 you get so much food! They even have a make your own hibachi. I will definitely be coming back, you'll never leave hungry at this buffet!

Okay, y'all...it's an all you can eat Asian food buffet. If you go in with realistic standards, you'll have an awesome time! Plenty of space in their parking lot and a live koi pond welcome you to this buffet! You pay as you enter and the cost is dependent on the day and time...nights and weekends cost more. You seat yourself and begin your self-guided adventure. Servers were plentiful to fill up drinks and clear off plates. The space was cleaner than I expected! LOTS of choices for food, with diversity ranging from pizza to sushi, traditional Chinese dishes to a build your own hibachi grill. Quality was better than expected and was able to serve up plenty of what I wanted! Will absolutely be returning for those times that I need sustenance!

This is a typical chinese restaurant in America. Nothing too special but you will find TONS of options here. Not too bad of a restaurant and not too good either. Service is good. The only negative thing about it is that at the Sushi buffet, the people who work in that area were not able to tell what inside each sushi, they were not knowledgeable of what they were making, nor were they clear. I had hard time understanding them! so I ended up not having sushi because I didn't know what's inside it. If you like americanized chinese, you might enjoy this.

It has been years since I found an Asian buffet as large and plentiful as this place. Super Moon had a great variety of food choices and a hibachi grill if you chose to grill your choices. Sushi was just okay, and a few dishes were squished with food, giving the appearance of a rush job. Service was very good with removal of plates and replenishing wster glasses. The best part was the desserts available. I would gladly return again.

Located on its own with a huge parking lot. We came on a Sunday evening and was seated after a 5 mins wait. Staff was great about taking the plates away after we finished eating but wasn't good about refilling drinks. Food was average. Dessert was kind of limited. There were only some fruits, one type of cake, cream puffs, and ice cream.

The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

We tried the Szechuan dumplings in chili oil, cream cheese wontons, and the kung pao chicken. There was a lot on the menu that caught my eye, especially the orange beef - but unfortunately, they do not sell that dish anymore. The dumplings were mostly warm, but some were cold. The flavor was impeccable, so I didn't mind the mixed temperature. That's something that could be improved. I haven't ever ordered kung pao chicken, so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but it was amazing. Seasoned well and served with a little heat. The amount of chicken you get is impressive. It is served with a side of rice. The wontons were some of the hottest/freshest wontons I've ever eaten. Steam was coming out of my mouth! It definitely was a fresh order due to them originally forgetting that part of our order. I was pleasantly surprised by this experience, although the dumplings were cold, and an order of wontons was served late, everything was unique and cooked well. The flavors are amazing. Will definitely be back.

One standout for me was the chicken wild rice soup, which was rich, comforting, and surprisingly enjoyable even with mushrooms mixed in -- the flavors were well balanced and hearty without being overpowering. The salad bar was another strong point, with a good range of fresh ingredients and prepared salads that felt thoughtfully stocked rather than repetitive. The pizza was decent -- not the highlight of the meal, but serviceable and satisfying as part of the larger selection. To finish, the ice cream was excellent and easily one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience, offering a classic, nostalgic end to the meal. Overall, Q Cumbers is a solid choice if you're looking for variety and comfort in a relaxed, casual setting. They ordered bbq chicken, smothered chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans & cornbread. My job allowed us 1 meat option, 1 side + green beans and cornbread. I got the bbq chicken and it was sitting in a watery bbq sauce (which was explained by a coworker serving it as it's a bbq gravy?) I got the baked mac and cheese, which a soul food restaurant should be able to deliver... it was just salty! The cheese burnt on top was inedible and it overall it wasn't good.
