Sad, bland, cold, and disgusting.

It was so disgusting and disappointing. Food was cold, bland, and there was a Little Rock's in my mash potatoes... I also found like a little leg of an insect/roach in my stuffing which is even worse and really got me feeling sick hopefully it was something else... I rather go somewhere else I do not recommend this place. The floors were so dirty. Everything was just so sad and disgusting.

Horrible food, I did not like the food in general for its dirty taste, the staff is great but the dishes were so dirty that I had to clean the knife and fork myself instead of it already being nice a clean to use. I don't recommend coming here at all and it is really noisy.

I asked for stake and this is what I got. It's really raw a cold

This is the worst food place I have ever gone to to food was so horrible. And the food was raw and cold. I would never come back to this place also the dessert tastes like medicine

My dinner was especially good....the chicken fried perfectly...all dark meat the way I like it. The potato salad was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to a mayo based potato salad but this was even better with lots of flavor! The corn was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with their dinners. The chicken and waffle dish was also good. Ratio of breading to chicken was perfect and perfectly seasoned. The honey butter that came with it was also delicious. The New Orleans shrimp bowl was great too. The ratio of shrimp, which was perfectly cooked, to rice was good. Lots of great flavor. I think that everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. The only "ding" would be the service. We had to ask for silverware so we could eat and had to wait for straws because she forgot. I'm still going to give it 5 stars even though the service was lacking a bit. She was very nice but seemed rushed.

I ordered the Social salad. It was good but the presentation was trash. I also got a cup of the She - Crab soup. It was also just okay and certainly overpriced. Husband got the Pork Belly Burnt Ends at my suggestion. He asked if they had sauce added to them and if so, to get it on the side. Our server said they are prepared and the sauce caramelizes so no, no sauce. He asked due to being a type 1 diabetic and needed to calculate his insulin. Well, they came out covered in fresh sauce and were too dry to swallow. There were six chewed up bits of pork left on his plate when it was cleaned away. The Texas toast was the only redemption. Lastly the two others shared the half bird entree. Presentation was haphazard and the chicken was visually dry looking. They ate most of it and said the biscuit and sweet potatoes were good. The food alone wasn't bad enough to keep me away; but combining it with the service was. Our server Laura (sp?) didn't make her debut well after we've been sitting 10 minutes. We were there at 5:30 on Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. She was very nice. Her second stop was to take our orders. Food runner came and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for water as my glass was bone dry (I even ate my ice) and others' were 1/4-1/3 full. She said she couldn't bring beverages. It's water...not vodka. Weird. So Laura eventually comes back and filled our drinks and left the bill. She did overhear the birthday happenings and was nice enough to offer a free dessert. She got her cash payment and we never saw her again. Maybe it was the end of her shift? It just felt off. The table next to us had quite a few complaints and had a different server, so maybe there was just a bad vibe with the staff today? Hopefully management can figure it out. Bathrooms were nice and decor was nice throughout the restaurant.

I especially loved the open kitchen concept...it was neat to watch them prepare the line-up of meats! I loved reading the "testament" in the entryway. The story of Jimmie and Iris was so sweet, and I appreciated how their legacy is carried throughout the restaurant, especially in the sauce lineup. I ordered the two-meat combo with ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. I paired them with "Dixie Red" which was my fav! For sides, the platter came with a cornbread muffin and it was so good I ended up ordering a second (Oops). It had what tasted like a butter or honey butter drizzle and YIKES it was dangerously good. The employees were super friendly and helpful. One in particular greeted every single person coming in and leaving. Loved that. You just don't see that kind of service as often anymore. The restaurant itself was very clean, with plenty of seating available. Fun fact, they also have a food truck, which gives me hope since the location isn't super close to home. Maybe I'll catch them around town, or even bring them in for one of the employee events I help lead!

We had reservations and were seated immediately. I chose the spare ribs for my dinner and Husband had the pulled pork sandwich. The ribs were served with a zesty dry rub and sauce on the side. Wish my meal would have been a titch hotter in temp but the food was tasty. We finished with the smoky crème brûlée which was delicious. The layout was cozy and dark with the bar at the center. After a 40-minute drive, we were more than ready and the experience totally delivered. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which our server Katherine highly recommended as her favorite. She was spot on--it was buttery, creamy, and so flavorful. If our food didn't come out so quickly, we would have been scraping every last bit. I had the Tennessee chicken sandwich with fries, and asked for the collard green slaw on the side. Honestly, I wish I had just put it right on the sandwich because after trying it with a bite, I really liked it. The Louisiana hit I did not find to be spicy, more so flavorful. Almost, kinda sweet. Others in our group ordered: The classic chicken sandwich with onion rings, The fried chicken with mac & cheese and cornbread, and a side of collard greens, which were seriously delicious--super well-seasoned and flavorful. Our service was excellent--Katherine chatted with us and made the whole experience even better. She was friendly, helpful, and just had a great vibe. She was blown away at how far we drove to come here. The menu is huge with tons to offer, and the drink menu has a wide variety, including non-alcoholic options, which I appreciate to see. All in all, a fantastic visit. Great food, great service, and a fun spot--we'll definitely be back SOON and you should go, too!
