Chicken with crunchy rice and lettuce. Wtf?
    Jason R.

$15 hot me a few pieces of chicken, crunchy rice and a handful of lettuce. It was so bad I took it back. To their credit they refunded me but seriously this was gross.

What they show you and what you actually get. Old bait. And switch.

Worst absolute service from the Spanish speaking girl behind the counter with the long curly hair. Here on 10/11/2025 @ 3:41pm and her attitude was absolutely horrific. As if she would rather we leave than be bothered to even service my wife and daughter. Rarely do I post bad reviews check my profile if you don't believe. But this person deserves to know what's it's like to be on the other side. I will contact the owners and I'm certain this isn't the first time it's happened. I love this mall and its food court. But from now on everyone avoid this place it's not worth it for a single (Kate C.)moment that's shes working here on weekends. The picture also represents what they say they offer but what's actually being served. The old bait and switch. I returned to ask for my tomatoes. But decided to only ask for extra spicy mayo dressing and that's when she unloaded all this attitude. I wouldn't return here if she was gone and they paid me to eat here.

Unfortunately I learned I can't expect too much from a food court establishment. I wanted to check out this place cause it had an interesting name. I was asking about some menu options but the cashier didn't seem like they wanted to answer my questions or talk to me . Kind of frustrating. Maybe it was a language barrier, but I was just asking their opinion what they liked better... Anyway, regardless I still ordered the following... *Grilled Shrimp Dosirak -I chose spicy sauce over shrimp, dumplings, salad, japchae (Korean glass noodles) and rice. *Bulgogi Bapbowl -Korean style marinated rib-eye steak and grilled onion on rice, served with salad The spice was good on the shrimp. The bulgogi was good too. The rice accompaniment for both dishes I think is a must! lol Decent food.

Standard mall food but at least some welcome variety beyond just pizzas and burgers. BengBeng serves Korean style bento boxes (nothing fancy; not appetizingly presented; but tasty) and bibimbap (nicely presented). Basically, bibimbap comes with rice underneath; nice cucumber and pickled radish, carrot, purple cabbage, ground beef, fresh lettuce, and an egg sunny-side up. With gochujeong on the side. Very noisy here due to the overall low ceiling of the food court.

Korean place located in the Tyson's Corner food court. Ordered their signature dish, the BengBeng chicken rice bowl, which came with fried chicken atop rice and lettuce. Had my chicken in the soy garlic flavor with spicy mayo dressing. Really generous portion size. Tasted like Korean fried chicken without the bones. Great quick bite while shopping!

Great food, specially the korean chicken bites and noodle! and really friendly owner. Everything was fresh and well-made. You can tell they care about what they do. I'll definitely be back.

If you're looking for a well-balanced hearty meal, this is not the place to go. But for a restaurant inside of a food court. It's not half-decent. Their fried chicken is good; however, their portion sizes for the price could be improved. I thought the staff were kind and the location decent (especially given that it's inside of a mall).

Food was good! We needed something quick and was craving chicken, so I got the soy garlic chicken with fries, radish and rice. All were good. The chicken you can tell wasn't processed but had that sweet taste to it. Girl taking order was nice but just hard to understand because of language barrier. Looked like the place was busy but orders went out fast. Typical restaurant in the food court. Just wish they provided napkins because we definitely needed them. Clean and modern with monitor menus.

Gonna be honest - their beng beng chicken was a 10/10 for mall food. The chicken was super crispy despite being coated in a tangy, spicy teriyaki sauce.

Beng beng chicken never disappoints, I went there during what seemed like a rush for them and then my food came out looking good and tasting good! Get #4 if you're indecisive like me.

    # 1 Soy and garlic chicken. I was craving for BonChon chicken wings soy and garlic and thought this will be close enough. Omg! Soy and garlic chicken is terrible and such a disgrace to Korean Chicken Wings. I cant believe I paid almost $20 for some nasty chicken and some white rice on aside that I only took literally 2 bites from before I ditched it in trash! I feel like I was being robbed out of my cash!!!

Fast food chicken bites with yummy flavor. Fries are tasty, but I prefer my crispier. One of the better places to eat at the food court.

I order a number 5 and asked for extra chicken but the girl at the register said they don't do extra chicken. I tried to explain it to her that on the website it shows I can add extra chicken and I don't care if it is spicy, grilled, or fried. I just want extra chicken! She said she can't and to order the number 8 which is grilled chicken. I gave up because I couldn't understand her.

If you're Korean, and you're looking for the traditional affair, this is not it. I'd take a client or friends here who aren't Korean. It's catered more towards non-Koreans IMO. They're selling this as an upscale spot and while the quality of meat is pretty darn good, you have to ask for lettuce and garlic - the two items always present at a traditional k bbq. It kind of sh*ts on the tradition by doing that. Why not provide that to give the full experience we all expect? I love luxury dining as much as anyone else but this was a colossal waste of money. I come to this shopping center multiple times a week since I live in McLean and almost always miss that this exists. They also have barstools outside facing the bar indoors but it's just so awkward. The sidewalk of this area is not built for that! Great idea (usually), but terrible execution. There's so many Korean bbq places nearby. I'm glad I tried this place to kill my curiosity of what they do different. Again, great spot if you want in bbq in a more upscale atmosphere, but it's more or less "fusion," and I'd be good with a business dinner here. Service was impeccable though. I appreciated the promptness in attending to our needs. The savory dishes btw- the dwenjangjiggae is awful. Lacks depth, flavor, and just overall was very meh. The other items (and we had all 5) were just fine. Nothing to sing home about.

Now...I'm not sure if I was supposed to wait a certain amount of time before I ate after a cleaning...but I didn't! lol. I was so hungry and was in the mood for sushi. Being a big foodie as I am I love finding new restaurants to try and this was did not disappoint! Parking was easy they had some right in the front of the restaurant reserved for customers as well as a garage for more parking spaces if it got crowded. Walking inside it is a small cozy space and because I was by myself I was seated at the sushi bar. I told the sushi maker my food order and the waitress my order for wine. I tried the Merlot and Pinot noir which the merlot was so luscious I got another glass. So my order was fries shrimp shumai, Ile yellowtail combo which came with a yellow tail sashimi, spicy yellow tail roll I added cream cheese, and yellowtail nigiri. So fresh and so pretty how it came out! Aesthetically pleasing top notch! They gave me a few freebies seaweed salad and edamame and a side dish of pickled condiments very tasty. So being the big back that I am I ordered more to go and it was the Ile salmon combo and substituted spicy salmon roll with spicy tuna roll add cream cheese. I really loved how they package the to go order kept my sushi fresh until it the next day. I will definitely stop here again after the dentist...lol.

I will say a toast for the freshest fish And for the stories of the days When the chef reeled them in I will wave my chopsticks For the long-time locals lined up On their nights, they were nice enough I will raise an Ichiban For my servers working hard And for the nights ushered in To the back sushi bar I figured a sea shanty for one of my all-time favorite sushi restaurants was in order. Because you know, they are serving raw fish and those fish are caught by fishermen. If you love sushi, I'm fairly certain you cannot go wrong at Tachibana McLean. It's hard to believe the years I spent here might have been a part of the glory days at Tachibana. When they lost their Itamae and were weathered by covid lockdowns, I think the pace of service changed. But the quality of food never has and I've enjoyed every meal here before and since. This is a classic sushi restaurant so you will not get any sort of innovative fusion rolls here. What you will get is a strict adherence to old school tradition and a focus on quality that is worth a visit. It's hard to say favorite dishes because there are so many delicious choices here. If you are sitting at the main sushi bar, you first may enjoy a free gift of whatever the Ittamae is featuring. If you like that fish, then order more of it. For sushi and sashimi, get what you enjoy here because it's fresh and lovely. Do not miss the Philadelphia rolls here because they are extra creamy and the scallions make them a real delight. I also love the New York roll and the spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls. Back in the day, my go-to was a spicy, crunchy salmon roll. This was always a special request but they humored me since I was a regular. I was also forever asking for a very thin slice of jalapeño in my tuna roll but you could only get that in the less-friendly and ambient sushi cafe down the street. Years later, times have changed and you can now order jalapeños, as well as tempura crumbs and spicy mayo on any roll. They have so many vegetarian rolls here, as well, so that is a whole experience if choose. You can order Japanese pickles, fermented soybean and scallion rolls, a plum and shiso roll, a gourd roll, a cucumber roll and an avocado roll. I so enjoy a big plate of veggie and shrimp tempura here. The tempura batter is not thick and just right. I also have very much liked the katsu's here: either crispy Berkshire pork loin or crispy chicken. It's an old familiar taste which you should not miss out on. The bento dinner boxes are also awesome. I usually get salmon, beef negimake, shrimp and veggie tempura, shumai dumplings and salmon sashimi. A delightful treat. The buckwheat noodles and udon soups are a bit plain and while they are classically good, i more enjoy the sushi. As for the cold sake, I recommend: the Shochikubai Nigori, the Junmai Ginjo and the cloudy pearl junmai if it's on hand. They also have Choya plum wine and a beer and wine list. You will love the green tea presentation in the gorgeous pottery, as well as that they are diligent on tea refills. Their desserts are nice but make sure you at least taste green tea ice cream once. You can get it here! It's not easy to find this at restaurants, even sushi restaurants, recently.
