- Before my review, I'd just like to point out the negative reviews Bendix has are typically because they didn't get a response when they called. If you are one of those reviewers, it really doesn't help us pick a good electric company. (Just like those doctor reviews that complain that his staff was rude, or wouldn't schedule an appointment, etc. - We still don't know if the doctor is any good, right? If he's the guy who can save my life, I'll work around his nasty staff...!) - Bendix installed our solar system and it has been working great. Rather than put it on our roof we had it installed about 100' down a hill on pedestals, and it has functioned perfectly. The installation was neat and professional. All wiring is wrapped and secured in place. He even ran a water line there so I can wash the panels now and then. The crew was polite and efficient and cleaned everything up, no construction debris anywhere. I had 2 quotes, and his was the lowest but only by a few hundred so price wasn't a factor. Can't seem to get this guy to call me back or respond to my emails. I am 75 years old with COPD and rely on an oxygen machine just to keep me breathing. I need help with my generator so when the power goes out, as it often does, I'm not left struggling for air. But I can't get a response from this highly recommended electrician. Obviously, I've got to look elsewhere. If you need prompt electrical help, look for someone else. read more

Bendix electric did major work on our house when we first moved in a few years ago and had been responsive and great until the fall of 2019. I called Thilo to install a transfer switch for a generator I purchase and he gave me a basic quote. When I called to set up an appointment to do the work, I never received a return call. That call was in January 2020. It is now March and after 10 or more calls I have still not received any return calls. I understand a company being busy, but not even a minute to return a call to say you can't do the work? Return customers are usually the biggest income of any business. We used Bendix in the past so when we needed an electrician who to call. They were able to work us in this week and took care of several items that needed attention including removing baseboards heaters, wiring, fixed loose wiring on a lamp, installed a new outlet & fixed a light switch. Prompt service within tight time constraints that solved an ongoing intermittent service disruption in my home's 110V ac circuit. Quick and correct diagnosis of the fault late on a rainy, snowy afternoon. Thilo Bendix rushed to get the necessary parts for my drop box from the PG&E power line and installed them quickly and efficiently. He explained what was the matter and fixed the problem. Will delivered everything as promised, on time, on budget, and took care of all the tricky administrative details with the building department, PG&E, and the subcontractors. His crew was polite, professional, and cleaned up everything. The close-out documents were put together so nicely that we now have a complete record of the transaction, permits, and PG&E paperwork. Very valuable if we ever sell the house! Our meter is going backwards even during the shortest days of the year. Another amazing experience with Bendix Electric!! He came out a few years ago and fixed the items in my budget and knew when I could afford the rest I'd have him back. And for a second time he's worked magic. Had to troubleshoot some outdoor plugs that weren't working, put a new thermostat in a wall heater, moved a randomly placed plug outside to a location where it won't get run over. I'm so impressed with what he was able to accomplish. Well worth it!!!!!! read more

I can't get this service to even call me back. We've called their "dispatchers" twice now - once in an emergency situation - and after the operator took our info, we have not received even one call from a technician. The response is always, "I'll let the technician know, and he'll call you." Nope. Not once. They may be very skilled, but I guess I'll never find out. If they are too busy, or don't serve my area, they should be upfront about it when they are contacted. read more

Excellent customer experience all the way through with Bendix, highly recommend. Appointment (in Copperopolis) was kept and Zack was in touch with me that morning to give me a firm ETA. A very reasonable estimate was provided for the install of a 240V (NEMA 14-50) outlet in my garage for charging our Tesla; the work was completed quickly and with attention to detail... in this case, correct orientation of the ground on the plug to ensure proper "hang" on the charging cable. He acted interested and told me I would receive a return call the following week to schedule an appointment. After a week when they did not call me back, I called and left a message with their answering service. I never received a return call. They wasted my time and delayed work I needed done.
