If he's the guy who can save my life, I'll work around his nasty staff...!) - Bendix installed our solar system and it has been working great. Rather than put it on our roof we had it installed about 100' down a hill on pedestals, and it has functioned perfectly. The installation was neat and professional. All wiring is wrapped and secured in place. He even ran a water line there so I can wash the panels now and then. The crew was polite and efficient and cleaned everything up, no construction debris anywhere. I had 2 quotes, and his was the lowest but only by a few hundred so price wasn't a factor. Glad I picked them!

Some were booked out, some wanted to schedule a time a few days out but with APG they tried to help me out right away. We got on the phone and started trouble shooting my issue. Coleby was very patient and great at explaining what to do. Luckily I had some DIY experience so it helped with the troubleshooting. It ended up taking a few weeks to trouble shoot cause there was snow on my panels but they were good to follow up and see if things were back online or not. Their effort and responsiveness really impressed me. My solar is back online thanks to them, and sooner than anyone else who reached out. You can tell they care about the customer, their reputation, and provide excellent value. This company is great and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Anytime my solar system needs work or an upgrade they will be the first company I call.

Our system was continually shutting down. Time will tell, of course, but my sense now is that Nate will do his best to keep the system running properly. And if anybody is wondering about the 4 stars: I seldom give 5 or 1 star reviews (below is a rare exception). Things, seems to me, can almost always be a little better or worse; and I don't want to be classed with so many who give 5 stars and excitedly say, "I haven't opened the box yet, but it looks really good!" And to defend my earlier 1 star: what possible good is there in a $25K investment that returns zero? Written May 14, 2024 (the following 1 star review, it turns out, is almost entirely a complaint against the previous owner, Rick, who now appears to me, to be a slick shyster with shoddy workmanship. I was mad and frustrated when I wrote the following, but believe there is no exaggeration there. ) If you enjoy 12 hour per day manual monitoring, manual resetting, missed appointment service calls, little or no phone response, apologies with no action, and then fighting for the promised warranty service, by all means go with APS Solar. For the first three years, the system worked as promised and expected. The fourth year, the system began to shut down, continues to shut down for what seems unknown reasons. I suspect that new installations take high precedent over warranty promises. Additionally there is no automatic notification of the shutdowns, so constant manual monitoring is required... unless you don't mind the $1500 true-up like we had to pay. As you might imagine, we find APS business practice completely unacceptable, frustrating even infuriating.

The owner is a 27 year old kid in Dubai and they hired crew from the valley and got rid of us, the long time install crew without even formal layoff paperwork. I've now been informed by both of the electrical supply houses in Sonora that APS stiffed them both for thousands of dollars each. I'm sad to see a business that I worked at fail due to incompetent new management. For any former customers seeing repairs or service to their APS installed solar systems please feel free to reach out. The equipment has manufacturers warranties and I'm very comfortable diagnosing and repairing our systems.

Our experience with SIG has been unacceptable…read more After installation and payment, SIG solar became largely unreachable. We have made multiple phone calls over the years needing assistance with system issues and were constantly told someone would call us back. Those calls rarely happened, to the point that my husband drove 40 miles to their office just to speak to someone in person - with no resolution. Because SIG solar failed to provide support, WE had to contact the inverter manufacturer, twice in the past few years to get the system functioning, something the installer should have handled. When we just recently realized that we needed our roof replaced, SIG solar charged us $8000.00 to remove and reinstall the panels. We had to pay it because we did not want to do anything to jeopardize our warranty, effectively forcing us into this expense. This company appears focused on sales, not long-term service. For a major investment like solar, this level of non-responsiveness and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Experiences like this are why homeowners rely on consumer protection and contractor oversight agencies.
