But there are a few things that have turned me away from this studio, despite it being the only non-bikram hot yoga studio in eugene. First, their staff can be rude and off-putting. Though she teaches a great class, there is one instructor (brown curly hair) who often scolds or talks down to you in front of the class when your form is incorrect. In a setting where we're supposed to feel unselfconscious and confident in ourselves, this makes it very difficult. I'm also disgusted by the pricing here. I'm a college student, so I don't have a lot of extra money to spend, but I care about my body and will pay for yoga as much as I can afford. But Zen Spot is just too much money. A 5-class package is $70, and it expires in 25 days. I want to be able to come to class when I want, not feel pressured by a window of time. They are also the only studio I've ever been to that doesn't offer a student discount. The other thing is that this studio can be EXTREMELY crowded. They never cap the number of students and there have been times when I can't even do the poses because there isn't enough space around me. If Zen Spot is making as much money off of their customers as it seems, they should be able to expand their facilities, offer better package options, and get some new instructors. Hopefully someone opens another hot yoga studio in eugene, because they'd make a killing. Until then, I'll have to do without.

I do not recommend this location for optometry services…read more At the end of October, I got my eyes checked for new lenses. I had one set made and covered by insurance for some frames I already owned and I paid out of pocket for a second set of lenses to be made for another (Ray Ban) pair of glasses I had. After not hearing from them for two months, I popped into their office and asked what was happening. They sheepishly explained they broke my glasses, but couldn't explain why nobody ever called me. They said they would replace the lenses AND the frame at this time, and that they would get back to me about this issue. They called my fiance and left a message about my broken glasses a month later. She's never been there before. I don't know why they called her? I came back today to follow-up on this issue, and was told my frames would NOT be covered. Not only that, there was ZERO accountability for how things have gone. Just excuses.

Nice location. My only issue is my appointment started alittle late! * Update 7/19 : Removed a star due to lack of communication on delivery date. I was never called the day my contacts were due. I had to call myself and it was at this time the contact lens late delivery was communicated. * Update 7/25 : Removed yet another star. Called yesterday and they only had the contacts for my right side. Called in today again to see if my contacts were available. This time they had both sides but this time Sabrina told me I was wrong in my receipt and that I owed $100. This was a complete surprise to me and instead of explaining it to me she just expected me to pay it. And let's be clear I was not wrong, I was incorrectly rang up by their staff. Now I don't have a problem paying and I understand it's not her fault but aside from never answering phone calls, not communicating with me, and telling me I'm wrong, how about explaining it to me? Instead I had to ask for an explanation. I've been going to Sterling for years and unfortunately I will no longer be giving them my business. To be clear, the optometrists are always amazing, great, and professional. The biggest issue is their office staff. They seem to have a very high turnover over, inefficient systems, untrained staff and bad customer service. Please note that they have locations in Springfield, Eugene, and Junction City. Based on my interactions and after years with Springfield and Junction City I will no longer have faith in this company. I highly recommend you find another business to get your optical needs fulfilled.

I have…read moreseveral life threatening illnesses, & am caught in the midst of new doctors and/or many attitude/negative changes to practices. Dr. D not only blamed me for my illnesses, that are inherited & very serious, he asked me where my neuropathy pain was. I briefly pointed to the 2 spots in my legs, then Dr. told me to "quit complaining". I came to him per my insurance company's suggestion because of the severity of my medical issues at 68 years old, also to ask him for a scan on my stomach/rectal area that had malignancy taken out about 2 years ago, that is painful 24/7 & has bled intermittently after the malignancy was taken out. He refused any scans, because he himself didn't diagnose it, also he hadn't read any of the 62 pages of medical records I brought in at 1st visit last week, from Lane County for the last 19 years. I asked him to please, per my insurance company's Case Management's request, send a referral to Palliative Care that I do qualify for. He refused that, too. My impression is that he wanted to start from scratch to make his own evaluation. If I wasn't so sick with internal bleeding issues, consistent stomach pains, alleged IBS/Crohns Disease (suggested by a specialist/provider last year), I would have been agreeable to Dr. D's requests, though partially, because I've had severe problems with stools (constipation), requiring hospitalization, since I was 8 years old, also possibly inherited. Dr. D said that my 2.5 years of low dose pain meds for Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy, Osteoarthritis, etc.,etc., is the cause of my constipation. Again, he didn't read a thing about my past medical history the 19 years here in OR + other state I lived. This has been going on for 29 years. I don't mean only bathroom difficulties/issues, but severe & life threatening medical issues. I was put on SSDI in '97. To top this, he didn't continue my pain meds, so I'm cut off cold turkey. I felt as if I had to pull teeth for my heart meds, also he didn't prescribe me my Pro-Air asthma/COPD inhaler. His medical assistant also neglected to log in my very high systolic blood pressure reading because she intimated that "I have too many issues to put in necessary info". This girl had a bad attitude from the start, maybe due to having a bad day. Please note: I was refused any/all referrals, whether to Digestive or pain management. Dr. D said that he's an Internist & doesn't refer, also he said he doesn't specialize in Digestive issues (that's why I needed the referrals). I fired Dr. "D" the next day & have to wait a couple weeks to see a new Primary Care Dr. Time is of essence. I am scared. I hurt. The pain everywhere is unbearable, & I just want help from a doctor/specialist. I don't want to die like this. Staff in reception....awesome! Kim was so helpful, & the 2 other ladies went out of their way to help me log in my pages full of info on their tablet. I was very impressed, also grateful for them! I've been instructed by our state Senator, to contact Senior/Disabled Advocacy, because our senator is not happy with this issue & others from me/other patients. He wants to be apprised of what the State Advocacy says & does as far as my grievances, & I am to keep contact with the Senator. This, he said, is unacceptable! I will call/contact State Advocacy tomorrow, Monday. I wished it had worked out with Dr. "D".
