I cannot recommend Ben and his team enough. Half the companies I called wouldn't even service my zip code. If they did, they charged wild prices. Ben was the opposite. He came out the next day, quoted me a fair price, and finished the work on time and under budget. He did concrete, pavers, sod, drainage, and bed install. We needed our dog run redone (dug out about 18", new material hauled and added and lots of hard labor). Ben came out for a quote and suggested due to the heat coming we should get started soon (to save the guys from the nasty odors that come along with stinky soil). They came out on time and worked their tails off. Their work was quality and I was happy with the results. So are my pups! read more

These guys are great! I moved into a 3 lot home with 45 or so oak trees and leaves from them for 3 years or so as it wad vacant and not kept up. I have tried myself and spent days on a small section only to have wind blow it all back! :( They came and took 3 full truck loads and still meed one more. Been 2 days working on it already and there doing a fantastic job cant stress enough how respectful, kind, and hardworking they are with such attention to detail. Top it off they are resonably priced.(i have no idea what it normally cost as this was my first experience with landscaping yard clean up but for the amount of work it sure was affordable.) ZERO STARS!!! Ben G Landscaping turned out to be the worst service we've ever contracted. The owner Ben sent a very poorly written contract in broken English with numerous errors that was too embarrassing to share with Board members. We rewrote with explicit details and dates as to what services he said would be providing and at what cost. Ben approved before it was shared and signed. His "helpers" as he refers to them, cut grass a month before the contract which was not set to begin until May 5, 2022, and claimed to have cut our trees. There was no evidence that trees were cut, particularly not to the specification of 9 feet from bottom that Ben G suggested and contracted. When the main tree that was our biggest concern was still not cut, he replied that he didn't have a ladder to do so-----this was the most important item on the contract, so why did he pretend he had materials to cut it in the first place? He continued to text every couple of weeks to ask when he should start, when he should lay mulch, etc. We had to refer him to the contract, as every detail was written there. It was only one page and legible, but he apparently never read it. When he was told that the alleged tree trimming was UNACCEPTABLE, his feelings were hurt and he said he quit! This company is very unprofessional, inadequate and has no business taking people's money for their shoddy service, and lack thereof. He claimed to have a license and insurance, but never was forthcoming with proof. read more

I've been managing my association for 7 years. Ben is the worst contractor I have ever worked with. It started out poorly with him, a neighborhood guy, late for our initially meeting by about 31 hours. He was supposed come at 10:00 A.M. one day and came at 5 P.M. the next. That should have been the first red flag. Not that he didn't show up. I've had those before, but he's only a few minutes away by car. His prices are on the high side of what is reasonable depending on whether you go by what he tells you or whether you actually read the contract he d=sends you. We agreed to terms and he was supposed to e-mail the contract. I gave him my contact info including e-mail. That evening I get a text asking for my e-mail. OK, things get miss placed so I set it. He sends me the contract at 4:00 A.M. the next day. He shows up that day with no signed contract and so no authorization. He had agreed to pull the weeds since I have a vegetable / grape vines. He decided to spray the weeds instead and then told me he couldn't pull it. He didn't even cut them. There still visible just drooping now. I thought maybe we could compromise, but Ben is inflexible so no deal. Unless your willing to let Ben dictate the terms, I'd look someplace else. He's unwilling to work with you. That doesn't really bother me. He has to do what's best for his business. I have to do what's best for me. I just have a problem with people not living up to their word, changing the agreement because it's inconvenient, charging a higher price, and trying to force you to agree to the higher price by starting the work prior to the signing. read more

after getting stiffed by one of the neighborhoods biggest companies-, told I was impatient i may have to wait a year-J&M midway- Benny came the day i called then did the work needed 2 days after. Replaced 2 landscape plants, trimmed landscape tree. and the small plants also. He also put nice new decorative rock down as the old rock was about 15 years old. Looks just awesome. he and his helper are so nice and helpful. Even moved some things to the back for me. Very, very polite, and that's great but they job has to be done well and it certainly was. He was late giving me a consultation and i decided give him the benefit of the doubt even when he told me to burn the area that I wanted him to clear out (which is illegal in our area.) He never showed up on the day that we scheduled him to work on my yard. This was understandable due to weather, however he didn't call to tell me he wasn't coming or to reschedule. I had to call him to reschedule and he again never showed even after i called him that day to verify that he was coming. read more

Remember the when we had the large snowfall followed by the deep freeze? Well we didn't shovel the snow right away. I didn't realize because the bottom layer melted that it became a huge block of ice. We had furniture being delivered the next day so I called and left a message for Ben G for emergency/last minute snow shoveling. I had called several local places and Ben G was the only one to call me back...and he called me back within 30 mins of call! He quoted me a very good price and was able to come out in the morning before our delivery was scheduled. Not only was he on time but they were early...he called they were running ahead of schedule and to ask if it was ok to come early. When he got here, he discovered the thick ice under all the snow. Rather than up the quote, he kept to it and informed me that it would cost much more for ice removal! They did excellent work clearing all the snow and ice.
